My mom and I both use Nationwide, and they are a great company. Car insurance companies usually get a bad rap, but we honestly have had no problems with these guys. For instance, just recently, my mom completely forgot to pay the insurance for 2 months straight. When she remembered, she called and was told that our coverage would most likely be cancelled even if she paid right then and there. She started to get all emotional and whatnot, so the manager or person in charge got on the phone and worked something out with her so that she could pay and we’d still be with them.

The employees at the local office are always super nice and extremely helpful on the phone and in person, my mom loves them. I only had to talk to them a few times when I wanted to cancel some part of my insurance that I felt was unnecessary to have, and she was nice and super quick to cancel it so I could save 40 a month.

Also, we have free towing and roadside on our plan and that came in handy multiple times. My mom forgot to put gas in the car once, ran out far from a gas station, and the person came to her quickly to give her gas. Same with when my car needed to be towed. He was here in less than 15 minutes.

Overall, as you can tell, I’m content with Nationwide. They’re a good company with really nice employees. Nothing negative to say about them

My family used Nationwide Insurance before me, in part because our local agent was a friend and neighbor who always seemed to be there when we needed him. Naturally, I elected to have the same auto coverage and had no real complaints until moving to Maryland years later. I don’t have that same connection to the agents here. While the coverage comes through in a major incident like a wreck otherwise they spend most of their time trying to sell me additional coverage for items or things I don’t want rather than finding me the discounts I need. They also try to make me feel guilty for not having all this extra stuff. To be fair though, I don’t have the sense than any other companies are really much better, so I stick with the Devil I know.

I came to Nationwide for auto insurance because two previous companies that I selected coverage with failed in terms of customer service follow-ups and overcharging. I am satisfied with my coverage with Nationwide because they are the only car insurance company I dealt with that both gave a very low rate and also followed up on customer service issues when I needed them to. For the same level of coverage I had with a previous insurer that charged $107.00 per month., Nationwide quoted $67 per month.

I only shopped around for a new quote because my husband and I needed to get homeowner’s insurance for our first home purchase. Only then did I feel I had been overcharged for two years. Lucky for me I took this step. This means Nationwide saved us $480 per year. I was so happy to find this deal, especially considering our other expenses were going to go up because of a home purchase. The previous insurer only tried to give us a “great deal” after they learned we switched to a newer insurer for much less. No thank you.

The other issue that made us happy with Nationwide was that when I forgot to have a non-driver’s exclusion form signed for someone in our household, the company handled repeatedly reaching out to us and processing the request very politely and smoothly. A previous insurer we temporarily signed up for did not even return a call after I called three times to say their quote and the actual charge were different. Nationwide’s follow-up on the front end was much better. I am happy I finally found a company that not only saves me money but also treats me with respect.

I recently switched to Nationwide for my car insurance and so far I love them. They have offered great customer service every time I have called them and made everything very simple and easy. The rates are much lower for Nationwide than the insurance I had before and yet I have the same benefits if not more. I was also able to receive a discount for getting renters’ insurance as well. All in all I love the Nationwide insurance.

I recently switched to Nationwide after being with another company for a long time. They raised their prices too much, and I needed something more reasonable. Nationwide was the best. They worked with me to get everything setup, and everything went so smoothly. I had my new documents the very next day after I submitted my application, and even got a nice phone call from the agent I chose welcoming me to Nationwide. My driving record isn’t the best, and I admit that. But even with those factors, they gave me a wonderful price on three vehicles. My agent is awesome. I’ve called for information on adding a business vehicle, and they worked up a quote for me within the hour. I needed to change a few things a couple of times to get a few ideas, and they were happy to help each time. They provide some leeway if you’re late on a payment, and won’t penalize you unless you’re very late. And even if you are, it’s no big deal. You only have to pay a small late fee, and your policy remains intact, the same price as it was before. I really couldn’t be any happier with them. Switching has been such an easy experience. I’m used to everything being an issue, so I was pleasantly surprised when this was not even a small issue. They’re a great company, and their rates really can’t be beat. I’ll definitely be sticking with them for a long time to come.

I just recently switched to Nationwide for my car insurance. Overall, I am pretty satisfied with them for the six months that I have had them. I called around before I got Nationwide to check on quotes from other insurance companies. Nationwide was the cheapest by far for a 32 year old driver who only wants liability coverage. I currently pay a premium of around $40 a month for my first 6 months. All-State and Geico both would have cost me around $55 a month for the same type of coverage.

I have only had one accident in my time with Nationwide. It was a head-on collision when another vehicle spun out of control and crossed into my lane. I was expecting fully to pay for the other guys damage when it happened, even though I wasn’t at fault. Not only did I not have to pay the other driver through Nationwide, but I also learned that any time I have an accident with an uninsured driver, Nationwide will pay for the damages to my car, which I find very responsible and very nice.

They have a very friendly team in my office I visit in Moundsville, WV, and they are also very thorough and polite when I call their 800 number to report a claim. When I did have my accident, they had a check on the way within 2 days of the accident and my premiums did not change.

And when I am on the verge of missing a payment, they will call me and give me a friendly reminder that my due date for payment is approaching and even work with me on payments or give me a few days if I happen to not be able to pay it all on the exact date (although I have paid my monthly bills on time so far) I had only considered liability coverage in the past due to my income.

However, with the low rates that Nationwide has offered and their excellent record of customer service and friendliness with me, I am currently in the process of switching over to their Comprehensive Car Insurance which will give me the benefit of collision coverage should I be in an accident that does damage to my car, paid towing and reimbursement for a rental should I get into an accident and be without my vehicle for some time. Even though it is the only insurance I have had so far, I would recommend Nationwide Insurance to anyone.

I’ve been using Nationwide insurance since I bought my first car, a 1988 Nissan Sentra. I originally went to them because they provided the lowest rates for a eighteen year old male at the time, I do not regret that decision in the slightest!

Since then I have been through car after car and stayed with Nationwide because of how simple and easy they are to use. Canceling insurance on one car and switching it over to another new one has been a breeze and over the years I’ve switched cars a lot as I grow as a person. I bought a Nissan Altima 1993 and switched it over from my Sentra very easily.

After that I had a car accident with the Altima and Nationwide was very helpful in informing what steps I needed to take next in order to receive my car reimbursement check.

They have always been upfront and honest with their prices, never fluctuating more than normal. I have never expierenced a hidden fee with them which just sweetens our relationship. One of the best things about Nationwide is how helpful and friendly their office employees are. You can easily pop into an office to make payments, ask questions about your policy, and they even help you in lowering your payments on your policy. Last time I went into a Nationwide Office, they managed to shave off $70 a month off my policy price.

Nationwide is also consistent with current technology so you could always perform all these tasks online through their website. I pay all my bills every month through their website with no problems and I find it to be easy as their website is easy to navigate and intuitive. All in all I would recommend Nationwide to anyone out there looking for an honest company that does all they can to help their customers.

I was a customer for over 20 years, got a much better rate on my auto w/ GEICO so I left. I left the next year on my homeowner policy as very disappointed with how they was handled my renewal. (never had a claim on either policy).

I had been with Nationwide Insurance Company for a little over 2 years. About 3 months ago I was shopping at the store and finally returned home with my 4 year old son. After about 5 minutes from exiting the car and going into the house, I noticed a smell of something burning. My husband went outside and noticed the car was engulfed in flames. A passer-by called 911 and emergency crews responded.

Right away I called Nationwide and they were awesome! They were able to start my claim and transfer me to the right department to collect all the necessary information. I was told the claims rep would call me to gather more information. To my surprise, the lady called me back within minutes and the paperwork was on its way! Within 2 weeks my claim was finished and my car was paid off. They emailed me everyday to update me on what was going on and was always there if I needed help with anything. Even after the claim was closed, I received phone calls making sure I was okay and did not need anything from them. I am so glad I decided to be insured with Nationwide.

They are an awesome group of people and they really do care about their customers! We are not just a number we are like family to them! I do not know why I waited as long as I did to switch my coverage to them because I could have saved a lot of time and hassle and also would have saved a great deal of money. I would definitely recommend Nationwide to anyone who is looking for better rates and a company that actually treats you like a human!

Nationwide’s slogan, “Nationwide is on your side”, is exactly right. I am a long time customer. I have an agent that is friendly and available when I need anything. The premiums are reasonable, and I have several payment options available to me. I can pay every month, every 3 months, every 6 months or yearly. They offer good driver discounts, and multiple policy discounts. I have a bundled homeowners and vehicle policy with them.

All claims that I have filed with Nationwide were handled quickly and fairly. My premiums never increased just because I had a claim. I’ve had one auto accident that totaled my vehicle. The driver and passengers of the other vehicle were hurt and hospitalized for several days. The other insurance company stalled on the claim and even blamed me for the accident. The agent for the other company was very nasty when I talked to her, and tried to make me feel guilty for the other party’s injuries. When I told my agent about my experience, my agent reassured me that it was just a stall tactic and not to worry. Nationwide acted on my behalf, and got the other insurance company to pay for the damage to my vehicle. Even when the other company inspected the damage of my vehicle and submitted an estimate that was too low, Nationwide worked with us to get a fair reimbursement for the loss of my vehicle.

I had sent in paperwork to cancel my insurance after I moved to North Carolina, because they were going to increase my rates. When I asked why my rates increased no one could seem to tell me. Every time I called or emailed to check on the statues of my cancelation papers(which was soused to be a 24-48 hr process, and ended up taking a week and a half) I would either get hung up on, or they wouldn’t return my emails. Finally after a week someone contacted me saying I was going to have to pay a short term fee. When I asked how much they said they weren’t sure. How do you know I’m going to have to pay a fee, but then cant tell me how much it will be? I am still waiting for the paper work to be completed and the policy be cancelled. Oh and my boyfriend also had nationwide, and they let him cancel without paying a fee and he received a full refund. Why am I paying this “fee” no one knows what it is, when I have never been late or missed a payment??? IF YOU DONT HAVE NATIONWIDE STAY CLEAR AND FIND ANOTHER COMPANT BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT ON YOUR SIDE!

I have had Nationwide car insurance for many years now. I think it is approaching eight.

One thing that is great is their reduced cost if you are a safe driver. I was in one fender bender the first year of being insured by them, but have had no accidents since so my costs have stayed relatively constant and low with my 6 years of a clean record. They were very quick in responding to my claims for the one accident. The claims adjuster was polite and professional about the situation. It was my fault and they dealt with the other driver to his satisfaction.

I have also lost my ID card on one occasion and they quickly responded and I received a new card in the mail within 10 days.

One thing I do find annoying about them is the fact that I get about 2 calls a month advertising services I don’t have any interest in. I have just started to ignore the calls when I recognize their number. Hopefully it will never be anything important or a call wanting to give me a discount on my current plan.

I think one thing that probably does keep my costs fairly low is that fact that I currently live in a small community. In the past I lived in a more metropolitan area, but since I have moved 3 years ago, there was a 10 dollar price reduction. So to sum up: I have been treated respectfully and fairly since I have been a customer; however, expect calls from them selling different plans if you do sign up.

Nationwide ruined my life. A year ago one of their customers rear ended my vehicle broad daylight (he was at fault), and I had to deal with their claims department. They based their quote out of state (not legally binding) from a dealership (known for conning its buyers) on the port of California. A mechanic who’s a specialist for my vehicle said they only offered a fraction of the worth of my vehicle.

As I am a veteran going thru college while supporting my family, I was incapable of paying for a lawyer to fight this. After spending over a month showing them why their quote was bogus – I tried building up enough funds to take their customer to court (the kid who hit me was nice, and I dreaded having to do this because of how bad his insurance was), but when I can barely afford food to feed my wife and child – I had to give in. Now I am without a vehicle as what they offered wasn’t enough to get a decent working automobile and having to walk miles daily – to include trying to get groceries for my family.

I have been insured with Nationwide since 2009. My experience with them has been a mixture of good to not so good. I have only filed a claim once, and that was for a towing reimbursement. They handled it quickly and with no hassle. They are not about giving out calendars and pens, in fact they only contacted me when my payment was due.

The only “bad” experience I had was when one of my payments was late. I received all sorts of angry emails and letters, which really surprised me being I had been with them so long and always made my payments on time. When I notified them I did not appreciate all the negativity, they did not respond. Nationwide is not a bad company, they just need to improve customer service.

One aspect I believe could have been better, and that would have been an occasional call from my agent. Or an email asking me how things were, and if there was anything I needed. Oh sure, I could call when necessary but still I expected to be treated as a somewhat valued customer. Like most companies anymore there just is not that “personal” service you used to receive from insurance companies.

I cannot complain about my premiums, the cost was as low as any other company (and I did research this a great deal). Everyone else was either much more expensive or exactly the same. I will continue to stay with Nationwide, as I see no reason to switch at this time. They have been the same for the last several years, no surprises and I am satisfied.

Nationwide has provided my car insurance since I first got my driver’s license in 1983. The price has been comparable to policies I could have picked up with Nationwide’s competitors, possibly a bit lower. But Nationwide’s service is why I have stuck with the company all of these years.

I haven’t needed to file many claims over the years. Luckily, I’ve only been involved in one minor traffic accident, and my parked car has been hit a few times in front my house. But the times I have filed claims, I’ve found the process for receiving service to be easy to use.

In my town, Nationwide has a drive-through place where they price the damage on your vehicles. This proved to be really helpful back in 1999, when there was a horrible hail storm. It sounds like a cliche, but the hail really was the size of golf balls. They made dents in the hoods of both of my cars. The agent responded to my query immediately, and gave me tips about what I should do. Within a few days, I went to the drive-through place and they gave me an estimate on what it should cost to fix it. I found a service center that gave a comparable price, and within a few weeks, I had a new hood at no cost to me.

Granted, I don’t need to use these services very often. But it’s nice to know that it won’t be too much of a hassle if there is a time when I need them. I’ll stick with the company, even though other insurers could give me lower monthly payments.

I been with Nationwide for a little over 2 years now. I stumbled across them because with other insurance companies my premium would be high and unaffordable. Last spring I was involved in a car accident with another driver. It was her fault, because she didn’t stop at the 4 way stop sign and hit me on the side.

The driver didn’t have any insurance. I got full coverage with Nationwide because my I have a loan on my car. Nationwide talked to the other driver and the driver admitted it was her fault and she would pay for damages. I still had to pay the deductible but eventually received the deductible back. I don’t have a problem with Nationwide. It’s also nice to know that Nationwide offers convenient claims filing options I had downloaded the Nationwide app and filed the claim easy as 1-2-3. I only had one car accident and Nationwide handled it pretty well. My car was looking brand new a week lately after seeing the adjuster.

My payments are low for my age, I’m 21 and paying 140 a month. I think that’s good considering my age. Another time was when it stormed real bad and a branch fell on my car busting my windshield and cracking my passenger side mirror. 2 days later people came to fix my windshield and I had my side mirror fixed. I don’t like filing claims but if something else ever happens again I’m glad I’m with nationwide.

I have been with Nationwide for almost four years now. I have only had one claim with them, and that was a towing reimbursement (which they handled quickly).

I do not have any major complaints, just a couple of minor issues I would like to mention. After the first two years, in which I made my premium payments on time, I had one that was a couple of days late. Though that was my fault, I did not appreciate getting a nasty form letter from them about it. When I stopped at my local agents office I informed them that maybe next time they should consider past payments and realize that this was just a mix-up, maybe give me a courtesy call?

And I have to say that after four years Nationwide, nor my agent, has ever checked up on me or let me know they value me as a customer. As I said, nothing major, just sad that customer service is not what it used to be.

We have had Nationwide auto insurance for about seven years. Overall we are slightly happy with them.

One thing I do have to complain about is the cost. Out of my friends and family, it seems like I am paying the most for auto insurance. It seems like they raise the price of our policy every six months. It is quite common to receive a bill then go into a Nationwide and be told that I owe more then what the statement says. This has happened to me on four separate occasions, perhaps more. I could see if my bill was past due, or I had a recent claim, but none of those things had happened. A few times I questioned the honesty of the representatives as a result of this.

When I was rear ended in a car accident, the claims service was professional and prompt in handling my claim. I had no issues with getting my car fixed through the other drivers insurance company. I did not experience an increase in rates after the accident either. I have to admit the other drivers auto company, Allstate, was a more helpful then mine.

One thing I do have to mention is the fees. I pay monthly and because of this I pay an extra $5 every month. If I paid for the six month policy in total, I would save money. Their late fees and other fees and not cheap. They are not quick to give discounts either. I have a good student discount and I have to call and remind to add it to my account every six months. I also have to send in a copy of my college transcripts to prove I am still eligible for the discount.

Overall, I am slightly happy with Nationwide, but to be honest if I found a company that was cheaper for the same amount of coverage, I would switch for sure.

Nationwide insurance is a shady firm that has wrongfully denied my claim against one of their insured. I agreed in good faith to record a statement. They then try to trick you into making incorrect statements during that statement. Having failed at they have completely changed my statement to them, as well as ignoring physical evidence that clearly vindicates my statements.

They are clearly hoping that I will give up and go away which is something I will not do. I am making a complaint with the California Department of Insurance as well as starting a social media campaign to expose their shoddy behavior and warn prospective clients

I have had nationwide for 16 YEARS!!! Every year they raise my premium by $120.00 since I bought my new vehicle in 2009, which is paid in full. They again raised my premium this year ($120.00). The disappearing deductible is a joke you have to pay $150.00 to start the program. I am so disappointed in this company especially since I have been with them for so long. Please keep in mind I have no tickets or accidents, so the reason for the yearly rate increase is that my area is getting increases.

I have a 2007 Pontiac G6 and my current car insurance is through Nationwide. I had not long changed companies looking for a better deal on price. Nationwide was very helpful in explaining all aspects of the insurance coverages/contract and the representative with whom I spoke, was very knowledgeable. I was able to keep my coverages the same, as well as, add extra coverage like accident and ticket forgiveness and my monthly cost was actually cheaper. I was even able to keep my roadside assistance, but yet lost the deductible for that.

A customer service agent calls me at least once during my 6 month policy to inquire if I have any questions and to make sure that I am receiving the best coverages possible for my situation. They have answered my questions (when I have them) as honest as possible and allow me to make my own decisions. They do not try to ‘push’ certain products on me like I have found with other companies (regardless of whether I need them or not) and I could not be more satisfied.

I gave an overall 4 stars since I have yet to make any claims and do not know how those would be handled. However, I would assume it would be just as completely as everything else I have seen thus far. I would definitely recommend this company if your looking to purchase car insurance. There is only one thing I do not like about this company and that is that you have to pay $5.00 to make a payment over the phone. However, they do give you the option of paying online without a fee.

Speaking about fees, you could save yourself some money each month by having it taken out of your checking account each month, however; this would not work for me and is not an option.

Nationwide is a decent insurance company…Their prices are pretty low I have gotten several quotes from other companies and nobody has beaten their price yet. They have a lot of different discounts like if you have multiple vehicles, or house, or just if you are a good driver.

The only problem I have had with them is they messed up on how much I owed and I got charged the late fee. So I suppose they could work on their customer service a little. They are very helpful if you call with questions and especially if you are someone like me who does not know everything in the world about insurance. As for claims lucky for me I have not had to put one through but my brother who also has them has had to put one in and they had a problem with paperwork so it slowed the whole process down. Again I think it is that customer service work or maybe organization they should really work on other than that they would be a great insurance company to go to.

My whole family goes through them and I have had them as my insurance company since I started driving… so even though there are a few issues here and there the issues are not enough to make me stop going to them. Their statements are very easy to understand and very detailed, they also have a wide range of insurance options like how much insurance you want on your vehicle.

Recently I decided to shop around for better priced auto insurance policy. I was excited to see that Nationwide offered me a savings of over 30%. The coverage was exactly the same as my previous company, and I decided to apply for the policy.

During the over the phone process I was excited to have fantastic customer service. During the application process I was informed about the vanishing deductible, and I was even more excited to be part of an organization that cared so much about their consumers. After signing on with the insurance I was promptly faxed my proof of insurance card, and received a same day effective date. This allowed me to immediately start to pay the lower rate and save money.

After having the policy for less than a month Hurricane Sandy made landfall in my area, and I unfortunately had a large piece of lawn furniture break my windshield and scratch the roof of my automobile. Even during a disaster I was provided a representative promptly to assess the damage and provide me with a repair check that same day. Nationwide even went above and beyond by waiving my deductible and any other customer’s in the hurricane affected area.

With this type of treatment I will not only have Nationwide for an extended period of time, but will try to have all my friends and family converts their policies over to Nationwide as well. Another bonus that is offered is the bundling discount, which seems to be significant at 10% per additional product that is signed up for.

I got a car loan with Nationwide and changed my auto and two homes insurer with Nationwide to obtain a 3% loan rate. Their premiums at the time were less than Travelers, so I made the switch. Lo and behold 45 days later from the underwriter saying they underestimated the market values on my two properties at $65,000 each. Then they said they had to raise my premium to match the market rate. You underestimated both properties by $65,000 in a recession? I felt it was the typical bait and switch- so I moved back to Travelers.

My insurance company is Nationwide. I have been with them for over three years. I decided to go with them when I bought my house because I received a discount if I did both auto and home insurance together. I wanted to change my auto insurance anyway because my past insurance kept going higher and higher in price for no reason.

I have only had to deal with my auto insurance company twice since I have had them. In both of those instances, it was for accidents that were not my fault. The claims didn’t even have to go through them. I am happy with the customer service I received both times. The people were always very nice and even seemed caring. I was actually surprised about how nice they were. They asked if I was okay and all of the passengers. The accidents were never serious.

The customer service people seem to be well trained to handle people who are upset because they probably do so all the time. The other insurance company that I had to deal with more was State Farm because that is what person-at-fault’s insurance has been. They were just as nice as Nationwide. I didn’t detect any difference in the customer service level.

Nationwide is also really good at sending out bills every month on time. I have always been very pleased with my experiences, but if I had the chance to switch to a cheaper company, I would. In fact, if my insurance gets more expensive, I will switch to a cheaper company.

Nationwide has some very attractive prices…but there is a reason. I have come to the realization that they are extremely bad as far as paying for claims. Most of the body shops I talked to about getting my wifes car fixed say they hardly ever get paid fairly for work they do for Nationwide. After reviewing the estimate that Nationwide wrote, I completely agree. I don’t think they are fair when they pay for a claim and body shops seem to be doing some of the work for free. I will never have Nationwide again because of this. You get what you pay for. They were really nice to me personally but I can see why body shops hate these guys.

I have been with nationwide insurance for 2 years now. I switched to them at a recommendation from my friend. I made an appointment for a local office to discuss the price and amount of insurance. The local agent was very nice to speak with and answered all my questions.

The price I was quoted was lower that what I currently was paying and it was for more insurance. I went from paying $130 a month to $88 a month. I bought the insurance when I was living in PA.

When I moved to VA I was able to transfer my insurance over to a local agent at no cost to me. My old agent also gave me 3 local agents that were close to me. I found that very nice and beneficial to have them care enough to find agents to transfer my insurance even though they were not getting my business anymore.

I have called Nationwide’s 1-800 number a few times over the years to make payments, ask questions about Nationwide and how there insurance works when buying a new car. Every time I have called I spoke with a customer service representative who was very nice and friendly. They were able to answer my questions or transfer me to someone who could. I found it very pleasant to call the 1-800 number and I would do it again and again if I needed to.

As for claims, I am unable to review Nationwide’s claims process for I have not had to make a claim. If I do every have to make a claim ill be sure to make not so that I can update my review of the claims process. Lets hope I never have to make a claim. I just remembered that I am signed up for vanishing deductible which is nice because If I go 5 years without making a claim I will be down to $0 deductible. I think that is worth it, however it does cost about $6 – $10 more a month. I would recommend vanishing deductible to everyone.

The price of insurance is pretty good however I was disappointed that I did not get a reduced premium when I turned 25. I had to call up and ask to get a deduction. I did notice that since I stayed with them for a while they do grant a loyalty discount which is cool. I hope everyone gets to read this review and use it to make a decision if they want to go with Nationwide as their auto insurance provider. I recommend Nationwide auto insurance.

Nationwide Insurance has got to be one of the best insurance companies that I have used for my car insurance so far.

After college, my parents decided to no longer keep me on their car insurance, so I had a big task of trying to figure out which company to use, and more importantly, which one I could afford. My first job, naturally, did not pay too much, so I was on a pretty strict budget when it came to my necessities. After doing a great deal of research, Nationwide came out ahead of the other companies when you compared the services you received compared with the amount of your premiums.

Additionally, I love the fact that Nationwide has most of their services available to you twenty-four hours a day online and through their smartphone app. I work at a call center for eight to ten hours a day, and the last thing I want to do is be on the phone any longer than I absolutely have to. I’m a big fan of companies that give me the option to take care of my business autonomously without needing to call and speak to somebody every time that I need something.

Additionally, the iPhone app that Nationwide has developed thinks of the little things that you might need when you’re out on the road. It allows you to take photos of damage to your car when you need to file a claim, but it also has a handy flashlight features. One time, my tire was low, and I had to pump it in the middle of the night at a poorly lit gas station. Frustratingly, I lost the valve stem cap during the process, and I wouldn’t be able to have found it without the flashlight feature on the Nationwide app.

The only thing that I can somewhat complain about Nationwide is their website, while useful, lacks intuitiveness. It takes a little getting used to where they put links for paying and viewing you bills, among other things. You should spend some time exploring the website so you don’t get frustrated when you need to pay your bill quickly, and it’s taking forever to find the option online.

Overall, Nationwide is an excellent company that provides excellent customer service with excellent rates. If they would simply make their website a little more user friendly, I would even venture to say that they would be the perfect insurance company. I don’t see myself leaving them anywhere in the near future.

Guess what??? The disappearing deductiable is not available in North Carolina. You only find this out when you go for a claim. With all the money they pay Dale Earnhardt Jr and Danica Patrick they could at least tell you this in their ads. What a joke. No mind though I am switching companys anyway and will save about $500.00 per year.It only took me 15 plus years to find out they are not what they seem to be.

Nationwide auto insurance is a little bit of a scam. sure it will cover you want to have an accident …well sometimes, but that is hit or miss. the big problem comes when you get tired of paying their overpriced premiums and switch to one of your competitors. when you do that even if you send them something in writing via certified mail canceling, they will continue to Billiou they will not send the bills to your house so I’ll keep getting your account if you make it to where they cannot debit your account you’ll suddenly find yourself with a whole bunch of charges on your credit report because they are shady. They expect you to pay 2 premiums when canceling. Lucky for me that my state allows us to sue under these circumstances! It took me 2 years to get 9 charges for 1 bill off of my credit report! They send one bill to NINE different collection agencies, which kills your credit! I had to sue them the get it off!! Oh and by the way, they forget to notify the DMV when you add them which can lead to tickets and suspension of registration! * please excuse any errors, I used voice input to type this review

I have been a customer with Nationwide car insurance for several years. Overall I am pleased with their service. I have shopped around and received rate quotes from several other insurance companies, none of their prices were better than Nationwide.

They offer several pleasing discounts like the good driver discount, multiple policy discount and AAA member discount. I received the good student discount and it saves me money every month. I would rate my experience with them a four out of five. They aren’t a perfect insurance company, however they are very good. Some of my complaints would be that they charge a fee if you pay the bill monthly instead of twice a year. This is a little inconvenient and costly.

They also were not that helpful when I was rear ended about a year ago. I was told I would have to pay the deductible even though the accident was not my fault. I know several other insurance companies that do not charge a deductible when the accident was not the policy holders fault. It was a hassle going through them to get my car fixed.

I ultimately went through the other drivers insurance which got my car fixed quickly. Nationwide also only offered me one mechanic center to choose from and it was not located close to me. My biggest complaint would have to be about the paper billing. I am not enrolled in paperless billing because I would rather have my bills mailed to me. A few times I have not received my bill at all. I called to find out when my bill was due and found that it was passed due.

They told me the company changed their policy and are doing away with paper billing. I felt this was unprofessional because I was not notified of these changes. I would have registered online to see my bill and pay it if I knew this was coming. There have also been times when I went to come in to pay my bill and they asked for more money. I saw no additional charges on my bill but I was told by the employees that the bill was now about fifty dollars more. It has happened to me a few times so I ultimately decided to enroll online so I could watch the charges on my account.

Overall I like this insurance company. I have a pretty well priced insurance policy so I stay with the company. I haven’t taken advantage of their Vanishing deductible offer that’s advertised on television, so I can’t review that feature. I have looked around and they offer the lowest prices that I have found.|

I’ve been with Nationwide Insurance for many years, including through two cross-country moves. The hardest time in my life was when I was living in San Francisco for graduate school. Every time I drove my car in SF, it seemed that something would happen to it. Once, while I was waiting on a side street for a friend to come out of her house (there was no parking available within two blocks in any direction) another car drove by in the opposite direction, clipped my car, broke my mirror off and kept going.

It completely surprised me that someone would do that, and they were gone before I had a chance to get their license plate number and other info. Another time, apparently someone attempted a “smash and grab” while my car was parked around the corner from the house where I was renting a room. (This was in an area where people sometimes smash out car windows in order to get tennis shoes and similar items – obviously I moved as soon as I could!) The small back window on the passenger-side was smashed out, and the car alarm went off when I started to unlock the car. I had left a leather jacket on my back seat, but it was still there. I think the car alarm must have gone off and stopped them from getting it. Both times, my calls were answered immediately and they made the repair quick and easy.

With the broken window, I called as soon as I could and we took care of most of the “paperwork” while I was still waiting for the police to show up. They gave me the info on their closest preferred glass repair services. I made a couple calls and was able to take it there the next day and get it repaired while I waited – and without paying a deductible. For the bodywork, the claim adjuster was there bright and early the next day.

He was very professional and courteous, and understood that I had been too surprised to get much information about the person who scraped me. While I was always worried about the costs of the repairs and how they would impact my insurance (not so much actually), it was helpful to have an insurance company that I could trust to be there when I needed them. I had Farmer Bureau Insurance before them, but switched because I was able to get a much better price. Now I’ve stayed with them because they seem to have just the right balance of good customer service at a good price. I previously a substantial discount for having two cars on my policy, and now I also have renter’s insurance with them.

For renewals and changes, I go through my local agency. While I am usually able to take care of everything online and on the phone, it is nice to have an actual office that I can go to when/if the need arises. (I’ve only been there once and it was years ago.) It’s usually so long between calls that the person assigned to me has often changed, but they are always courteous, knowledgeable and responsive.

I am not a fan of Nation Wide we recently switched to Farmers. Two years ago my 21 year old daughters car broke down on her way to college. We went an hour a way to the rental location to sign a forn so she could drive a rental car back to college in my name( Since she was not 25 yet). At college she ran into a snow bank and damaged a small part of the bumper even though it was not noticable it had to be replaced, Nation wide charged me the entire 850 to replace the entire bumper , yet my deductible was 250. I fought the company and won. They realized I had the car signed out in my name, my deductible was 250.00 my daughter was the co- signer. On top of that I feel like their customer servcie is not good at all. Rude people had to wait a long time to get service on the phone. NOT A FAN!

I will start by saying I have had nationwide for the last 10 years or so. I have my self, husband, and son age 21 on my policy we have 2 cars and I pay 242.00 month. My husband car is a magnet for carts, potholes etc. so we really have not had any major accidents and I find times that I end up fixing the damage done from the dents, dings etc.. I have NEVER had one year that my policy DID not go up.

I also have my home with nationwide we had a claim due to the ice storm Montgomery county pa saw about 2 years ago. I can say based on the price I am paying I am not sure if that is good or bad what I can tell you is my agent is horrible. They never call you back I end up getting any information I want from the 800 number.. So my question is WHY I have an agent! What am I paying for! It is almost as if they have your business and don’t give a damn.. Now don’t think I have not tried to get a new agent. Oh boy that is like you asked to hang someone they are all scared to take on the business and from my understanding it is a matter of a form being filled out. HELP!!! I want out from my agent!!!

I find Nationwide Insurance to be a good insurance company when you have an accident. Their claims service is second to none. They are not a cheap company.

I personally believe that you should get the best insurance you can afford because if you have a bad accident you will be happy that you did. As far as the customer service on an everyday basis Nationwide is not the best. I learned that I must review my policy declarations every single time it comes. I have to comb through each page and make sure I am getting all the discounts I am supposed to get and read all the fine print. One year I found that my home car discount, which is given for insuring both my home and car with Nationwide, just fell off my policy.

I paid full price for a full year before I noticed. When I finally brought it to their attention I barely got an apology. I was not impressed with how this was handled. Other similar incidents with discounts have occurred and I am now diligent about reviewing my policy. I also have issue when I try to make any type of change to the policy. I recently changed my comprehensive coverage from a $500 deductible to a zero deductible.

I have two vehicles. The agent quoted me a price for changing both vehicles but when I received the change notice only one of my vehicles reflected the change and the price was exactly what the agent quoted me. So after another extensive phone conversation with my agent I was told I’d have to pay more to change the second vehicle to the same coverage. Not exactly customer friendly.

The last problem I’ve had with them is their website is ARCHAIC. You can only see certain policies. It’s hard to see details and making changes is not possible. Until recently you could not set up a profile with a password without having to wait until a passcode came in the mail for you to punch into the website. How very inconvenient that was but they have updated that and you are able to have instant access. If you call the main number and ask questions I find that those associates are pretty helpful.

They can make changes for you instantly and I haven’t had too much hassle with the corporate group. The agency groups seem to be a little sloppy and often out of the loop on the latest information. Overall I’d say Nationwide is a good policy. It is not the cheapest policy. In the event of an accident the service is excellent. I would recommend checking your policy thoroughly at each renewal for missing discounts, etc.

I will start by saying that I am insured through Geico, which may have something to do with the way I was and am currently being treated by this insurance company. I was involved in an accident where a driver insured by Nationwide pulled out in front of me. I called and reported the claim the same day. The adjuster said that she would talk to the other party involved and then call me back. I never received a call back so I called in again a week later. I was trying to be very patient, as I knew that my car would be fixed since I had the police report saying the other people were at fault. After the first week, the representative said that she had still not gotten in touch with the other party. This game went on for about three more weeks. I would call, leave messages, and send emails to the adjuster who would not call me back. I finally got in touch with the adjuster a month after I was in the accident and she said that she finally got in touch with their insured and that I can go ahead and put my car in the shop. After I dropped the car at the shop, I called about getting the rental car as I had been instructed to do by the adjuster. Well the people from Enterprise told me that no information about my claim was ever entered into the system by Nationwide. So, I tried to call back Nationwide, left messages etc. with no luck. I went without any vehicle for four days while my car was in the shop. This is unacceptable to me as I work and need transportation. I am not a Nationwide customer nor will I ever be. I am unsure if this company treats their customers the same way, but I would definitely beware of buying insurance from the company. One person handles the claim and if you can’t get in touch with that person, you are pretty much screwed.

I think that Nationwide is one of the best insurance companies. My agent is someone that I relate to very well, he has great people skills and was very polite. He helped me find the right coverage for me and my vehicles. The price for coverage is unbeatable. I switched from another company to Nationwide and saved nearly $100 a month and got better coverage. I called to make a claim one time for a broken windshield.

This was the first time I’d ever had to do that sort of thing and they made it so easy. I just had to explain what happened and they immediately covered it, transferred me to the company to replace my windshield, and got it all done in a timely, hassle-free manner. I would definitely have to say that so far I am very satisfied with my insurance company!

Where do I start? Buying insurance traditionally has been a very impersonal action and when you have to deal with agents, for the most part, you expect individuals that fuction more like robots than like human beings. But a few years ago my husband and I switched to Nationwide after encountering the worst customer service experience of our lives with our previous insurance company and we couldn’t be happier, in fact I wish now we had switched much sooner. The service is outstanding…everytime I call to make a change on our policy such as adding a car or a driver, it’s an amazing experience. Friendly, knowledgeable people listening and addressing your every need…some things you didn’t even think about…they got you covered.

And last year when my teenage daughter got in an acccident…well that’s when you really get to see how good your insurance company is. When we called in to report, the agent I dealt with was wonderful. Not only do they walk you through everything…they care..an insurance company that cares, I thought those were extinct. We had a check in hand within a few days, how incredible. Nationwide handled everything…even calling back to make sure my daughter was ok. In times of crisis, it’s good to have someone you can turn to and you can trust. Nationwide also offers several discounts which in these tough economic times is a real benefit..for us the good student discount really comes in handy.

To reward students for working hard and keeping their grades up, not only helps the family financially, but it instills confidence and pride in our youngest drivers and helps them remain focused and safe drivers. You’re probably not supposed to love an insurance company, in fact I think that goes against everything we’ve been lead to believe about insurance companies.

So many have a reputation of being impersonal or dragging their feet to pay claims or just have horrible customer service, it makes most people dread even having to deal with them at all. How sad actually when there is this amazing insurance company with great rates, great service, and great people. What I love about Nationwide is they dared to be different, to break the mold of tradition, and create this wonderful customer based, service orientated business that their customers can be proud of and rely on.

Not only am I very satisified as a Nationwide customer, I can say, without hesitation, I highly recommend Nationwide to my family and friends, to my co-workers and customers. Someone once joked and asked if I was a spokeswoman for Nationwide because they’d never heard anyone brag so much on a car insurance company. I said “No” but why would I keep this amazing product to myself?

They really are on your side

My insurance was cancelled 2 weeks ago and I go to make a payment and low and behold they tell me NOW. Now lets review they have my cell, email, and address. I received no warning of it cancelling or ANYTHING. But now because it was 2 weeks ago they want me to start another policy. If I would have been pulled over in my state they would have taken me to jail and I would probably still be sitting in there from NOT having the money to pay the fine in my state.

So thank you Nationwide for looking out for your oh so valued customers and giving them a heads up of you know just cancelling insurance and NOT TELLING THE DRIVER. Bout to start at ITR T Technical Institute which is over 45 minutes away. So thank you oh so much for this great gift from you. #$%* YOU MOTHER#$%*ERS. Oh and I got hung up on twice by Dayna (Believe that’s how you spell it.) The customer service supervisor over auto insurance in Columbus, Ohio and Representative Adam who’s ID# which I learned doesn’t mean anything is (nin0a3) and another woman who wouldn’t give me her name, and lastly a woman who helped me but didn’t do more than put me on hold and hung up on by Dayna the Customer Service Supervisor over auto insurance in Columbus, OH. So I’m left with no auto insurance and live by myself, and the nearest town is 25 minutes away.

Great job Nationwide for servicing your customers so greatly and caring so much about them.

I have been with Nationwide Insurance for 6 years. This is the best Insurance company, I have ever dealt with. I started using Nationwide Insurance for my Automobile Insurance because I have been so happy with the service, I had received from them for my Home Insurance.

One of my favorite things about Nationwide Insurance is their customer service. I am always able to reach an actual person when I need to. I am also always able to talk to the same person, so there is no confusion about what I may need help with. I have never been put on hold or not had my phone calls returned. I am very pleased with the rates I receive. I pay a lot less for my policy with Nationwide, then I have with any other company.

My current auto insurance company is Nationwide and I cannot say enough great things about them! I have been with them for four years and have never had any reason to complain. My agent is fantastic – he is easy to get ahold of, always calls me back quickly if I have to leave a message, is friendly, and is constantly trying to find ways to save me money. My premiums are less with Nationwide than they have been with the previous two auto insurance companies I have been with for the same coverage. I cannot speak specifically to the way they handle claims, as I have been lucky enough not to have had to file one yet, but I anticipate that I will have a positive experience in that area as well. I also really like the Nationwide website because it is easy to find information when I need it and easy to pay my bill online. Overall, I love Nationwide and would recommend them to anyone who is thinking of switching auto insurance companies!

Nationwide insurance company is whom I currently have insurance with. To say something for a review about the company itself is harder then to complain about the people they employ. I have had no real claims with the company. I had a couple of tows covered and a windshield replaced. They handled the claims quickly and I had no problems with the company itself.

The only complaints I can give is the agents and their employed workers. I will not name a name but here is the story. I went to my agents business to make payment on my policy just because it is relatively close to my house. That is the only reason I stay with them. Don’t get me wrong – Nationwide has not failed me as an insurer yet not unlike Allstate.

The employer who works for my local insurance agent is rude unorganized and inconsiderate. I took a check down to pay for my insurance one time and the agent wasn’t there that day and his secretary took the check and printed out a receipt. I left thinking all was well. Went home and a few day later I get a letter that my insurance is about to be cancelled.

I think you can tell that I was a little disturbed by this and call down to find out what was going on. Come to find out the the receptionist printed a receipt for another customers account with my money. Its bad enough at the amount of money these must have insurance company make pay. Then they give your money away to other people so if you ask my opinion insurance company are as big a thief’s as Bernie Madoff.

I have had nationwide full coverage car insurance on my car for 4 to 5 years now and within the last month my car was flooded. So I did like any normal flood victim would do by filing a claim with Nationwide. A week later I was informed that my claim was under investigation! This blew my mind considering I have never had to file a claim before and I have always had full coverage. So, I decided to be patient and let them do what was necessary.

During the investigation a Nationwide investigator came to the scene of the flood and casually talked to be about the incident which I was expecting and had no problem with but then he wanted a recorded statement on tape about the incident which is ILLEGAL! I could not believe that I would be treated like some criminal! Then he LIED to me and said the DMV had record of a lapsing period on the coverage.

I contacted the DMV and they told me that I have ALWAYS been covered and that my insurance has never lapsed on their records. I am a college student that had my car totaled in a flood along with half of my neighborhood. It has been almost a month now and my car is still sitting in the parking lot flooded and I have received NO coverage for my vehicle!!!

Not only have I not received anything from Nationwide but no one has contacted me about the investigation at all. I have had to call them to find out what is going on with my claim. Nationwide is the worst car insurance company I have EVER dealt with. Every car in my neighborhood has been fixed or payed for and I am the only one with my car still sitting in the parking lot flooded and totaled. BEWARE of NATIONWIDE and their investigators!! They are a bunch of snakes and could care less about innocent people.

I have had Nationwide for just about one year now and I can honestly say that I have yet to have one complaint about them yet. Their agents are extremely personable and they treat you like you are part of their family. There are discounts with Nationwide if you have more than one policy. This is nice because most people do have more than one type of policy.

Take me for example; I have an auto policy and a renter’s policy. I save myself around $60 a month by having them both with Nationwide. I also enjoy the fact that Nationwide doesn’t necessarily boast about all the great things that they do for their customers. My policy renews every six months, and every six months I go without a claim being filed, my premium drops about five dollars. That doesn’t seem like much, but it really adds up. I would recommend Nationwide to anyone and everyone. They are a five star insurance company!

I hve been a very happy customer of NationWide Insurance Company for over 11 years. They have offered me excellent customer service and very reasonable rates, for my car and home insurance. NationWide did an excellent job here in southern Alabama, during Hurricane Katrina and qucikly assisted all of its policy holders. I am a very satisfied customer and will continue to use them and tell my friends and students about their service.

I really enjoy the coverage I receive with Nationwide. They have been there for me since day one. I signed up with them when I was driving my old car and decided to buy a new car. My agent that lives here in town stayed on call for me to call her when I was looking at cars so she could quote me new insurance quotes for that new vehicle. They always work with me if I need to change my payment date or change my payment method. I have never ever had a problem with Nationwide. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone I know!

My insurance company is Liberty Mutual. I have been a customer for almost ten years. I have had several claims and they have always handled them quickly and efficiently. One snowy night I was on my way home approximate 8:30 pm; out of nowhere something leaped out in front of my left side bumper. I stopped only to discover I had hit a little white puppy.

I pulled into the driveway on the same side that the dog leaped out from. I went up to the house and asked if they had a little white puppy. The owner went out to the road and picked up the puppy it was barely alive. She said she had just gotten the puppy that day. It was blocked in on the back porch but somehow got loose. I left and went home. It was dark so I didn’t see any damage. The next morning when I came out to go to work I notice my bumper was cracked and look lopsided. I went back in and called Liberty Mutual and explained what happened and before the end of the week my car was put in the shop and the rental company was there with a car to pick me up. I have really been pleased with this company,

My only dissatisfaction is the price. I have had two inexperience drivers on my insurance as soon as my oldest daughter had been on there 3 years it dropped for a few months and shot back up as soon as I added my youngest daughter. When I put them on my insurance the cost was 4 times higher. I have two more years of paying this heavy load. When my youngest daughter tried to get insurance on her own it cost more than carrying her on mine.

I have been a customer of Nationwide Insurance since I was a 16 year old driver. I live in an urban area and had a claim from someone side swiping my car. I took my car to a convenient claims center and received a check on the spot. My agent then called me to make sure that I was OK and had everything that I needed. I would highly recomend Nationwide to anyone. One more thing is that they now offer Insurance direct so for people that do not like to deal with an agent, you have another option.
