California-based Insurance Company: Mercury Insurance Reviews

Mercury Insurance Group sells auto insurance. Mercury is a Los Angeles, California-based insurer and provides auto and property policies to consumers and businesses. Founded in 1962, Mercury began expanding operations into other states in 1990. They now have offices in Texas, Florida, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and other states. The following Mercury insurance reviews are from actual customers.

Mercury Insurance grew their company by writing sub-standard policies where many larger insurance companies didn’t take on higher risk drivers. This strategy has proven successful. Mercury still markets their policies through independent agencies and brokers.

Mercury Insurance Group (MCY) is a publically traded company. Mercury recently followed GEICO’s lead by creating humorous commercials with UFO-ologist, Dr. D.B. Selwick. According to the backstory, Selwick is convinced Mercury is run by aliens from the planet Mercury. If you have any experience with Mercury Insurance, please leave a review. We appreciate your review, whether it’s good or bad.

I am happy to be a proud customer of Mercury Insurance Company Ltd. I am a good driver and I am very much careful on the streets. I was one day hit by a car at a turning point and my car had to suffer unnecessary damage. I approached my auto insurance company and the inspectors of the company came to my house. They reviewed the damage caused to my vehicle and after proper inspection, they took photographs of the same. The inspectors called me to the company office and told me the they required to complete proper formalities for processing the charges for damage. They studied my driving record properly and they found that I had not caused any accident in the last ten years. I am in fact a good driver and I drive my vehicle very carefully and with utmost care. I got the recommendation of this company from one of my relatives who himself owned an auto insurance policy of this company. I also carefully reviewed the feedback of this company online before applying for an insurance policy for my car. The application procedure was really fast and at the same time their claim processing procedure is also fast. Within a reasonable amount of time they processed the insurance claim and I got back the cost of my damage. They deserve credit for such a positive review from my side. I would definitely recommend this company to my other friends and relatives as well. At the same time I would give them five stars.

Worst service ever!! I was rear ended by one of there clients while I was sitting at stop light. I have had some minor back pain and over 7200.00 to my car and they have yet to call me back. They keep telling me they are waiting on the driver who hit me to file the claim. Where as I have already been in formed she filed the claim to begin with. Its absolutely ridiculous!!

I was involved in an auto incident where an uninsured driver hit me in a parking lot.
I was told by Mercury Insurane that the claim was settled in my favor. 2 weeks later they call me to tell me that it was now in the favor of the other driver. I felt complete wronged and not safe as the insured. This was completely unprofessional. I felt as though I was merely carrying insurance to take care of other drivers that mess up without insurance. The other driver lied to me and told me that he had insurance and said that he would get his car taken care of himself, then 5 DAYS later called me to say that he wanted my insurance to pay for his car because his insurance had expired. THIS is that man that MY insurance company is siding with. This whole situation has been complete crap and the claims department was unhelpful and rude.

The worst claims department I’ve ever had to deal with. It’s been one year since my accident with a Mercury insured driver that totaled my truck. Still not even a settlement offer. One year! Do you want to risk not getting paid for your loss for one year?

I had received a quote of $452 for a 2012 MINI JCW insured in Texas. It was a good deal so I accepted it (July 28, 2014).
This was paid in advance and in full. On August 05 I got an e-mail saying that I was due a payment of $310. No explanations, the only thing the e-mail said: Due date August 20th. I called the company and after getting multiple reasons as to why my insurance premium went up I called my previous company (Geico) and got a better deal.
I then decided to cancel in written as of 08/06/14. When I get a refund, the refund was not based on the $452 from the premium I had agreed on but the $762 of the increased premium (Which I never accepted/agreed to pay). Called multiple times and customer relations was awful, told me a supervisor would call me, which he/she never did. When I finally talked to a supervisor and explained her that I didn’t understand why I was charged based on a quote I never accepted she told me that it was legal.
(my question was: if you decide to charge me $4,000.00 then you are telling me that I legally owe you more than $3,000?).
No response. It’s not a matter of money(the difference comes down to about $20.00) it’s a matter of principle.

On October 24, 2013, I woke to my car broken into in front of my house. Later that day after going to work and finishing my business as normal, I returned home to find that my HOME had also been robbed with my computer gone, designer bags gone, designer jackets gone, taxes gone, and most of all receipts gone. I have been dealing with to top this whole cake off also minor identity theft, someone calling into my bank and requesting a new card be sent out while I was with clients (clearly wasn’t me), among other minor things. Mind you, I never knew that I had theft coverage. As a matter of fact, I got the renter’s policy in case of fire damage from a previous apartment.

Nonetheless, I ended up making a claim. Shannon ** has been my adjuster and she has been more or less a delight to speak to, HOWEVER the policies that I have come to know, the processes, the damage to my personal sphere, the demands, and the productivity loss with work has just become too much to handle. First, the initial investigation was simple. The paperwork was as expected, thorough. However that is where the simplicities have halted. The claim was forwarded for “further investigation” with an investigator named Jonathon. Said investigator and I met for about 3 maybe 4 hours one afternoon going over every single aspect of the claim. I provided plenty of pictures to “prove my lifestyle” as Shannon put it, I have remained as transparent and honest as is humanly possible, remitted my tax returns, bank statements for 2012 as well as 2013 (nearly 400 pages), given statements from people who were with me during a Christmas party and witnessed a neighbor referring to who did it, I have taken time out of my day and productivity at work to do the investigator’s job and question people who may have information about my incidents.

Mind you, I am a hairstylist, NOT an investigator. As we stand now the investigator has finished his report and now Mercury is wanting to proceed into even yet another process and/or stall tactic of having me do a sworn statement with their lawyers. It just doesn’t make any sense at all. None. Clearly it happened, I have items that have been stolen from me, my neighbors are talking about the incident all the time, and police reports have been filed. This claim is a drop in the pan for Mercury, dragging it out does nothing but hurt the insured.

When we buy an insurance policy whether vehicle, renters, home owners or what have you, we get it so that god forbid anything happen to our belongings, our car, sometimes our livelihood, but also our investments, the company behind the policy is able to catch us from falling. To be our support net when we need it the most. That has not happened, to me NOR to a few others that I have spoken to that have open claims with Mercury Insurance. Its a tragedy really, but a sad reality I have come to accept as I will be canceling my claim as well as my policy first thing.

We have twins and both of them wrecked their cars within months of each other. Mercury was fast and courteous to deal with. They took care of the other people. They also saved us lots of money in premiums. We now have our homeowners with them and they were half as much as Farmers.

Mercury insurance has to be the worst insurance company out there. They are good at collecting money but when it comes time to pay for repairs they do NOT step up. Someone insured by Mercury insurance ran a red light and hit the front of my car. They proceeded to keep driving so I followed them until they pulled over. Because I had to drive about 100 yards before the guy pulled over there were no witnesses available because the others at the intersection had all driven off. Looking at my car it’s very obvious that I was stopped and the other guy side swiped the front of my car as he drove by. However, Mercury denied any responsibility and refused to pay for an accident that was obviously the other guys fault. DO NOT TRUST MERCURY INSURANCE THEY WILL LIE JUST TO SAVE A BUCK. I also know of someone else that was hit by someone insured by Mercury and Mercury refused to pay to color match and blend the damaged area with the rest of the car. There are much better insurance companies than Mercury.

MERCURY INSURANCE SUCKS!!! This company is dishonest and will NOT pay for repairs that they are responsible for. They will also NOT pay to have vehicles properly restored to before accident condition. AVOID this company at all costs. Good luck if you get hit by someone that has Mercury Insurance. They will NOT pay to have your car fixed. They will lie through their teeth and try to blame the accident on you even if their client was clearly at fault.

Mercury is a solid company to deal with. About a year ago I was in a multiple car pile up. When I called to go through the claims process I talked to an claims handler that got all the information regarding the accident. A day later, my claim was then handed over to a local agent that contacted me inquiring about my well being as well as to notify me about shops around me that worked with Mercury that would be able to begin work as soon as possible. After that, Mercury took care of the rest. They periodically notified me about the progress of my claim and addressed any concerns I had until I got my car repaired. The entire claims process took about a month from the time I put a claim until I was cleared of any fault and my car was fully repaired.

About a year later, when I was involved in a second accident, I put in another claim with Mercury. That process again went smoothly with minimal hassle on my end. Overall, about the only gripe I’ve had with Mercury is the fact they handed my case over to a local agent. Unlike the telephone number that’s in the back of the insurance card, which somebody can help you 24 hours a day, you cannot get a hold of your local agent outside of normal business hours if you decide to call. If you are looking for auto insurance at a modest price, Mercury is a company worth considering.

I have been a customer with Mercury Insurance Group for over fifteen years now. I have never had a problem with them in all that time. I have full coverage with uninsured motorist, the works.

I was in an accident about 10 years ago. It was a hit and run. Luckily, I was not injured. I called the customer service number that day. There was a long wait to get a rep on phone, but that was the worst part of the experience with Mercury, except of course the accident. Within a few days, I was contacted by the adjuster. He was very professional and caring. He quickly went to the body shop to see the damage.

They took care of everything so fast. I did not have to worry about a thing with my car. I had my car fix and back in my garage quicker than I thought was possible. I went through a broker to get my insurance originally. I was concerned that it was not a State Farm or AllState kind of company. After all this time, I have no worries about that anymore.

Their rates are always the lowest for me. I can split my payments for the six months, into one, two, or three payments. If I choose two or three payments, they do charge an extra $10 per payment. So that can raise your bill an additional $60 a year. I still shop around every couple of years. I even gave that “other” company, 15 minutes and they were $500 more a year. I tell all my friends to try them.

I have been insured with Mercury Insurance for about two years. I have been a part of a few insurance companies in my day and having a big family I have also seen many in action.

My experience with past insurance companies (i.e State Farm or little hole in the wall places) has not been highly favored. I used to deal with long ringing telephone calls..no answer or no replies. When I was in need of a new windshield they said there was nothing they could do even though I opted for that option, I found out there was a small detail in the contract about the size of the crack that did not pay for cracks over 3 inches. Wow! what a stresser that was!

However, Mercury has been a delight! Since I travel on the road frequently I found myself in the windshield situation again and boy, light years of a difference! I was helped immediately over the phone and the next day someone was at my door to follow up with a repair. My full coverage covered the repair and it was like it never happened and I think that is the trait of a great insurance company. They make you forget the accident, incident, or repair as if it never happened and you are returned to life as usual. Like a train that has fallen off the track, I got right back on track and didn’t feel re-routed or broken (financially).

Mercury Insurance has been a fairly decent company to have as my car insurance provider. The company has for the most part been willing to assist in my times of need.

I contacted Mercury when I needed insurance for my new 2011 Camaro and they had the lowest monthly payment/premium after hours of research. I also chose them because the customer service was stated to be stellar. While I cannot say that I totally agree, I will say that it is above average. Whenever I have an issue on a bill they are quick to assist and provide clarity (long waits on phone though). I cannot give them my full stamp of approval because they do not receive my payments all the time even though I send them in early each month. I receive late notices even though I am caught up completely.

I contact customer service via telephone and it is the same thing every time. I am told that the payment is showing current. This is very annoying but I can live with it. It is just a slight inconvenience.

All in all Mercury gets the job done and I know that if I was ever in an accident that it would be quickly rectified. I would recommend Mercury to anyone who asked. I would just let them know that while it may get the job done there are just a few minor fixes that could be implemented.

Mercury Auto Insurance has been my company for about 3 years. I have had very mixed results with them.

3 years ago shortly after we got the plan, I was in an auto accident, and I was not at fault. My car was totaled, and Mercury tried to raise my rates! They tried to cover their loses which is illegal. I had brought this to the attention of my attorney and he had to fix it up. This was the first negative experience I have had with Mercury, but certainly not the last.

A positive experience I had was that they are located very close to my home which makes meeting with them a breeze. The workers I meet with are always well put together and seem like they always want the best for their clients, I have never had a complain about them, only positive things. On the other hand, meeting with company employees on the phone is a huge hassle! They always try to take a shortcut and make things easier for them, instead of making things easy for their client! I always have to put up a fight with them just to get my point across.

In October of 2012 I was in another accident, again not at fault. After I called them to let them know I did not seek medical attention, they said they would call back in 24 hours just to be sure. I had never received a follow up call. This upset me a little, imagine if i did need attention, and did not have the ability to dial the phone, it could have been a disaster.

Overall my experience has been mixed, I would lean toward the negative side more so than positive.

Ive had mercury insurance for over a decade now and I am very pleased with their services. I am currently a college student and mercury insurance gives me the opportunity to receive a discount with a good Grade Point Average and full time credits.

They’re also good at accomadating people with personal payment plans, for college students or other people that have some financial struggles. I have had some personal struggles in the past with finances and mercury has always been a great help, all I have to do is receive good grades and organize my payment plans to my benefit. I would recommend mercury insurance to any current college student that needs good auto insurance.

It is also beneficial to college students because you do not need alot of experience or a long history of good driving. After a decade of its very great services I have not come across any issues that have not been solved or worked with, Mercury’s employees are great and present Mercury insurance to people in the best of ways.

Another great thing is that mercury insurance offers group discounts that allows its customers to receive better deals, for there children siblings spouse, etc. As long as youre responsible and pay your monthly bills, mercury insurance will help you every step of the way. You will not be disappointed with mercury insurance, I would reccomend this service to anyone but especially college students like myself, that do not have all the financial stability at the present moment.

I’ve had Mercury auto insurance for almost a decade and believe it to be an excellent auto-insurance company. I was once rear-ended, and once I accidentally scraped my car on a parking pole. Both times the company took care of me, quickly and efficiently.

I was not made to wait for long amounts of time on the phone, the auto-body shop they recommended to me was quick and did very thorough job as well. In addition, I was given a rental car both times as my car was in the shop for about a week each. One accident was my fault and one was not, regardless my rates did not go up.

Overall, I would recommend Mercury for a low cost and effective auto insurance company.

I had Mercury Insurance and did not like it. I had Mercury Insurance for 10 yrs and had no accidents except for the following 2 incidents.

I was rear end the 1st time. And the person that hits me also carried Mercury Insurance. I was then Rear ended the 2nd time. And the person that hits me also had Mercury Insurance.

That kinda got me suspicious as what is the chance of you getting rear ended twice by someone who has the same insurance company as you?

I don’t know what kind of game Mercury Insurance was playing but I decided to switch to one of those Non-Profit Insurance Company/ Mutual Insurance Company and got double the coverage for the same price. If you don’t know what a mutual insurance company is, do a Wikipedia search for “Mutual Insurance” and it will tell you that it is a member own Insurance Company, similar to a Credit Union in Banking.

I don’t trust Insurance Companies but with a Non-Profit Insurance & Mutual Insurance, I worry less.

Mercury is by far the worse car insurance company! Got into a minor accident 12/15/12, hit a steel gate that wasn’t suppose to be closed during normal school hours and the parking lot had no lights on at the time so it was dark. As I proceeded down a delincing hill I didn’t even have a chance to notice taht only the exit side of the gate was closed for unknown reasons until it was in my windshield. I filed my claim with Mercury. My adjuster Mary called me the next day and asked what happened. Not one did she ask if I had any pictures, but she did ask if I had witnesses. Luckily when I went back to class the next day several students have witnessed the accident and one even almost hit the gate himself. I called Mary back that evening I left a message stating I had witnesses. Not once did she ever call me back and a day later got a letter stating I was 100% at fault. Not once did Mercury do a thorough investigation but they never called back to see pictures or get witness infomation. I tried to explain my side to them there was no lights on, why was only the exit side gate closed during normal hours, and why wasn’t there anything refelctive on the gate so I could of seen it before hand with my headlights. Mary stated she “tried” to help me by telling the “investigator” I was a nice guy.. What does that have to do with doing a thorough investigation? Mercury is not there for their loyal customers, they can care less about their customers as long as they are making a profit. I plan on canceling them and moving my homeowners and car insurance to a more professional company.

I have been insured through Mercury Insurance for going on four years. Overall, I have had a neutral experience with them. They are very quick to call back if I have a question and even priced matched a quote from a different company. Also, they respond to email inquiries very quickly as well.

One of my biggest complaints is that they really do not have an effective customer loyalty program. I have been driving for over ten years and I have yet to receive a moving violation. Furthermore, I have yet to have gotten in an accident with another vehicle. I have seen advertisements of other agencies with good driver incentive programs. Also, other companies have incentives such as ‘vanishing deductible’ for consecutive months of violation and accident free driving.

Mercury can do a better job at reaching out to their customers to inform them of new deals or even to check and see if they are happy with their insurance. Compared to Gecko Insurance (my previous insurer) Mercury offers a wider variety of liability and deductible options. I switched to Mercury because they had a very enticing new customer promotional. It would be great o get that same rate even if it is just for a year.

If I had to rate my overall service with Mercury, then I would give them a 7 out of 10 or just above average. I will most likely test the waters and get quotes from other insurers as Mercury is not doing a whole lot to keep me with them.

Absolute worst insurance company on the market. I am not one to write poor reviews, or any reviews for that manner but people need to be protected from companies such as this one. I am charged a $10 installment fee every time I make a payment, for reasons unknown even to the so called billing specialist.
I was involved in a 100% not at fault rear ending on the 110 freeway, where I was ‘respectfully declined’ coverage because they had a billing mistake on their end. The bank thought I was covered, I thought I was covered, however they said differently even though I carried their proof of coverage card with me in my truck.
Insurance is a necessary expense that could protect you, however if a headache is not what you want every month, I would stay as far from mercury as possible. I feel as though I am being generous in putting up one star.

We had the same car insurance on our family commuter vehicle for over 12 years with another company. When I had received my new policy with them I happened to notice their rates jumped up significantly (they were asking for over $2000 for the year). With the economic downturn we’ve had recently (and our family needing to be more frugal), I decided to look around for an alternative early last year. I ultimately decided on Mercury Insurance simply because the cost was almost half that of my previous policy.

However, the deciding factor was the fact that I was still able to get the same type of coverage I was used to. I cancelled my old policy immediately and bought the new policy using my credit card (6 months premium in full for the cheapest rate). Even though I was happy to be saving all of that money, I still had a few lingering doubts in the back of my mind (change doesn’t come easy when you’ve been with the same old company for over 10 years). I had just heard so many horror stories over the years about people switching to cheaper policies only to have the new company not pay out when it came time to claim.

Thankfully, all of those doubts were put to rest within the first 6 months (when I had to file a couple of claims shortly after signing up with them). First, I collided with another (parked) car after skidding on some road ice and then not too long after that my windshield was damaged by our tree branch falling on it (after a bad storm). Each time I found them to be extremely responsive, as well as helpful. I don’t have a local agent so I rely totally on the toll free number, but it’s been really easy to file a claim this way (and it can be done anytime, 24/7).

In one of those claims instances, I needed my car right away for work so they got the repairs started on my vehicle as soon as possible and I was even able to use one of our usual (trusted) repair shops to do the work (they were on the approved list). I’ve always found the telephone agents to be professional and courteous every time I call (and I’ve had to call many many times so I would have expected to get at least one cranky employee in there somewhere BUT thankfully no).

So far (fingers crossed), I have still been able to maintain a good rate and the customer service department has not let me down yet! If the good service keeps up then our family plans on keeping Mercury for a long time to come.

Buying insurance is one of those necessary evils, like paying taxes or going to the dentist. Not having insurance is playing Russian Roulette with your driving privileges as well as your finances.

For those who have less than stellar driving records finding affordable insurance can be a real problem. Over the years I have had policies with several different auto insurance companies, some better than others. I currently have a policy with Mercury Insurance and I have to say they are among the better insurance companies that I have dealt with. I have admittedly never been the best driver. I have had more than the average share of accidents. Some have been my fault and some have not.

Therefore I have never really been able to get the best premium rates for my insurance. Some companies have even refused to give me insurance. Mercury has always offered a very competitive rate for my situation and I have never had a problem with them when filing a claim. A few of the other companies I’ve had policies with canceled my policy as soon as I filed my first claim. Mercury has a great website where I can pay my bill or file claims online. They also have very friendly customer service agents if I need to speak to someone in person. Some insurance companies will cancel a policy if you are even one day late paying a premium.

Mercury has a very generous grace period for late payments. Recently my two teenage sons began driving. Mercury still gave me a relatively affordable premium compared to other companies. When my youngest son had a fender-bender a few months ago my claims representative responded quickly and took care of everything. Someone came to my job to take pictures of my car so I wouldn’t have to take time off of work.

He made my son feel very comfortable during the interview. The claims representative really put my mind at ease. The one downside to Mercury is that you have to purchase it through an independent agent. That may add to the premium costs and some issues, such as adding vehicles or drivers can only be resolved by the agent.

Fortunately I have a very helpful agent so that hasn’t been a real problem for me. I also like having someone local who I can talk to if I have any problems with my policy. Overall I have been very satisfied with the service I have received from Mercury. It has been a good insurance company to work with under my current circumstances. I would recommend it to others who have a less than perfect driving record or who have been canceled by other companies.

I was the victim of a rear-end accident that involved a total of 4 vehicles. I had two passengers with me in the car pool lane on the 605 North freeway. The car pool lane was at a complete stop, I was the third vehicle and a fourth vehicle rear-ended me from behind at full speed, which pushed my vehicle #3 into vehicle #2 and pushed them into vehicle #1. This led to my vehicle being considered totaled. Both I and driver of vehicle #4 had Mercury Insurance. Mercury decided to put both of us at fault to benefit from the raised premiums. They concluded that I was 50% at fault because the rear-end damage of vehicle #2 was high, but did not provide details to the damage cost. They did not make their decision based on all documentation/recorded conversations stating that vehicle #4 was at fault for 100% of the accident as well as the driver of vehicle #4 admitting after the accident that it was his fault and that he was not paying attention. Mercury did not attempt to further investigate the issue at my request, by checking the Engine Control Unit of my vehicle that can indicate that I was at a complete stop until vehicle #4 rear-ended me and created the chain reaction. I then decided to cancel with Mercury for their false allegations, just so that they can not benefit from these false claims. After I cancelled, it delayed the arbitration decision because they realized that they will not benefit from me if they put me at fault. This took 1 year for false claims to be determined.

Mercury is the scum bag of all insurance companies, I’m not a litigious person, wish I was, had I’d known how bad Mercury is I would have hired an attorney immediately. Now it’s too late as Mercury knows the game better than we do. If you have a claim against Mercury, don’t waste your time attempting to negotiate with them, they know you don’t stand a chance. The system is tilted to the insurance companies and the lawyers (in Calif,) no way do you .. the consumer get treated fairly……good luck

I do not know why they pay the people that “work” at Mercury Insurance. The adjustors are VERY rude (Jacqueesha/Janeshia/Jalecia/whatever Mills and Antionette Broome- I know you’re not really French LOL!) and they never bother to call you back, even after leaving multiple messages with multiple people. I guess they think that they can ignore people with claims and just hope they go away and don’t have to pay for something that the idiot they insure ruined.

I happen to like my speedy little European car and I didn’t appreciate having to wait two weeks just for Mercury to accept liability for a 4 (yes, 4) car pile-up that some stupid woman caused. I had to provide my body shop with the police report just to get Mercury to accept liability, otherwise they wouldn’t have. Also, the supervisor (Sherri Welch), yeah, she leaves work at 3:45 in the afternoon. These people do not live in the real world and they have a hard time relating to those of us who do.

I would never purchase Mercury Insurance myself and I will do my best to discourage anyone I know from doing so. Also, if you get into an accident where someone has Mercury, be prepared to want to rip your hair out.

My father was living in Florida and had Mercury insurance . He was involved in a serious car accident in 2006 and died 6 weeks later as a result. There was a lot to deal with and Mercury settled the claim for a very fair amount and it was done quickly and efficiently.

Prior to getting married both my husband and I had Mercury for our cars. After marriage we combined our coverage and purchased a home…all covered with Mercury. The price for the coverage was great and hasn’t gone up. Our insurance cards always come a few weeks before the previous ones expire and every 6 months we get a mailer including the outline for our discounts.

On a rainy Monday morning I was on my way to work and was rear-ended (luckily my 5 month old was not in the car with me). The rep at the claims department was friendly and took her time with taking my information, referring me to a body shop and processing my claim. We’re coming up on 5 years with Mercury and I’m sure there will be many more years to come!

I switched to Mercury six years ago with two teenage sons on the policy. Since 2006, Mercury has paid a total of six claims for accidents my sons have been involved in, and I still have insurance with Mercury. This experience should say everything about an insurance company. They have my highest rating in all areas.
Thank you, Mercury. We have really been taken care of by this insurance company.

Since 2005, I have switched to Mercury Insurance at the advice of a friend. Hearing grate things about their claims service, and their reduction in premium costs compared to other companies, I pulled the trigger and switched. I couldn’t be any happier. The online quote process was a breeze, automatically emailing the nearest insurance agent to your location towards the end of the quote.

On a sidenote, the premium was outstanding, and I ended up saving over 100 dollars. I always received my insurance ID cards immediately upon the end of every 6 months. Once I got set up, I knew it was going to be way better than my previous insurance company. The agent I was assigned to, always answered my phone calls (address changes, adjustments to premiums, additional people). One minor fender bender I was involved in was smoothly processed. The claims department was friendly, and they gave me detailed instructions on who to see and where to go (body shops, agents, etc.)

Overall I give them 4 stars, and would definitely recommend them to any of my friends and family.
