Insurance Advertising Giant – GEICO Reviews

The Government Employees Insurance Company (GEICO) provides car insurance for over 10 million customers. The below GEICO reviews are from some of those customers.

Founded in 1936 by Leo Goodwin, Sr., GEICO  began selling auto insurance to federal government employees and their families. Despite having ‘government’ in its name, GEICO has always been a private corporation and has never been affiliated with any federal or state governments. Headquartered in Chevy Chase, Maryland, GEICO sells car insurance in all 50 states. The below GEICO reviews are from nearly all of these states.

Owned by Berkshire Hathaway, GEICO has enjoyed a resurgence in recent years thanks to advertising. Several of their advertising campaigns have become well-known in recent years – most notably the GEICO gecko and cavemen campaigns. As of 2007, GEICO boasted over 13 million insured vehicles with over 11 million policyholders.  GEICO is one of top insurers of automobiles in the nation. If you have an experience with GEICO, leave a review – good or bad.

I have been a customer of GEICO for six years. Although its policy price is a little bit higher than some other insurance companies, the service I received is worth every cent I paid.

Two years ago, I have my car (2009 Honda Civic) crashed with a tree, which results a total loss. I first though they might not pay me full compensation for this was caused by my own carelessness. But, after knowing my situation, they immediately decided to pay the whole loss I experienced back! I got 200,000 reimbursement, which is enough for me to buy a new car!

The customer service representative of GEICO was really considerate. She knew I was distressed for this accident, and told me that I did not need to reproach myself, because crashed into a tree when driving backwards is really common mistakes. She was very funny and tried hard to make me happy. Claiming a loss is really easy and the reimbursement is pretty quick, I received the check within 20 days. During that period, GEICO also rented a car for me, I only needed to pay 5 dollars a day for renting a Mercedes-Benz C300.

GEICO’s service is really convenient for me. Everything is pretty open on their website. You do not need to deal with local agent. You can simply make payment, claim, and change policy on their website or by phone. I did all my claim by phone in last 6 years and avoided endless bargaining with agents. But I like to do this with their mobile application on my Android phone.

I have been insured by GEICO for the past five years. It’s the only insurance company I’ve known since I learned how to drive. I have never been with another insurance company and wouldn’t have it any other way. As a young driver, it was important for me have complete insurance coverage without paying sky-high premiums.

Although I have never been in an accident, my sister has who is also with GEICO. The claims representative handled her claim in a timely and professional matter. Within a few days she received a check for a new car after being in an accident. She even received more than her car was worth! Plus, GEICO also reimbursed for her laptop that was destroyed in the accident! It doesn’t get much better than that!

I love the GEICO and how its so easy to check you statements online. I can also pull up a new insurance card online and don’t have to wait for them to send me one. I can be clumsy at times and accidently locked me keys in the car. I ended up having to call a locksmith because that was my only key to the car. GEICO reimbursed me for the money I spent on the locksmith!

Although I have not personally, filed a claim with GEICO, I feel confident in them because of the report they have with my sister as well as with my parents. They provide full coverage at reasonable prices and are always available to help when needed.

I choose Gieco because I was invested in Berkshire Hathaway, the parent company and their was a discount. I rarely have to engage with the insurance company so I wasn’t concerned about agent availability, the hand holding promised by some of Gieco’s competitors. When I did get hit and needed them to fix my car they were extremely helpful. The process was simple and the work done at the garage affiliated with Gieco did great work; they were fast and thorough.

And the accident didn’t effect my rates much, I was worried that I would be victim to some algorithmic process that would conclude that I was a bad risk.

We have been with Geico for about six years. Fortunately we haven’t had an accident so I can’t address the claim review as well as others may be able to. However we have had a couple of flat tires over the years. As a matter of fact, we have one right now and I will be calling them to get the tire changed for free (as soon as the freezing rain stops, I don’t want to make someone come change our tire in this weather).

Each time, the service we received from the Geico representative on the phone has been very courteous, prompt and pleasant. I don’t know if they acquire reviews about the stations/mechanics that they assign to do the work, but our service was always done by people who were quick, efficient and courteous.

As far as price for Geico, no complaints there. They are very reasonable. We keep getting ads in the mail from other companies claiming to be able to save us hundreds a year. That would be impossible as the price we pay (we live in Vermont) for two cars is only about 800 a year. And we have a very comprehensive policy. No one can beat that.

In fact, about a month ago, we just received a letter saying that we have earned a deductible bonus. In other words, should we have an accident, we won’t even have to pay the deductible. That’s fantastic. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Geico anyone shopping around for insurance.

I really like my auto insurance company. I think what I like the most about my auto insurance company is that they are willing to work with you.

Another thing that I like about my auto insurance company is that the agent that I work with is amazing. She really helps to take care of me when I need her to. For example, I was recently in an accident and I called her immediately to let her know that I was in an accident. The accident was not my fault, but I was still really worried about it anyway. She was there to reassure me that everything would be alright in terms of my auto insurance and deductible. I was really pleased with the way that she treated me and the way that she offered me such great reassurance.

Another thing that I find so good about my auto insurance company is that they actually seem to care about their customers. They seem to really go the extra mile to make sure that I am taken care of and that I am really clear on what is going on and what I am getting into. They do this each and every time I work with them and I always feel confident that there aren’t going to be things that are hidden from me.

I really feel like my auto insurance company was the best choice for me because I am able to feel confident and good in all of my dealings with them.

I have been with my insurance company for 3 years, and have never been happier with an insurance company. During this time I have also received several discount such as the safe driver discount and the good student discount. When these savings are applied to my already low rate, I end up paying much less than I would if I had been with another company.

Another thing I love about GEICO is the fact that they truly care about their customers, and it really does show in all parts of the company. For instance, after I was in a collision, I called my provider. The first thing she asked was if I was okay. It kind of took me by surprise since you don’t expect to hear that from an insurance company. It was reassuring because I was a little rattled from the accident, and it was nice to know that they care about my safety.

I have needed to contact the corporate office several times during the length of my policy, and have found that it is extremely easy to do that as well. Not only am I speaking with a live representative in a matter of minutes, but all of their call centers are based in the US, which makes it easier to converse with the operator.

I plan on continuing my coverage at GEICO for these reasons, and on top of which they are constantly working to find me new ways to save money.

I have had Geico insurance for over 20 years. When my husband and I divorced, we separated our Geico insurance accounts. Since my teenage son was driving my car when he was at my house, I added him to my insurance. After paying the insurance premiums for a year, I realized that I was covering my son and my husband was covering my son. I contacted Geico and they promptly refunded the entire amount of premiums I had paid for my son.

When my son had an automobile accident, I called the Geico Claims Department. The agent was very efficient, well-mannered, polite and courteous. He helped me through each step of the claims process as I had no experience with filing claims. His instructions were very clear. He found a location near my home where we could take the car for an estimate.

Actually, he provided me with three nearby locations. I chose to have the estimate provided at Geico’s shop. The person who provided the estimate was professional, sympathetic, efficient, well-mannered, knowledgeable and courteous. My Geico agent had suggested three places to have the repairs done, all of which were near my house. I chose to have the work done by Geico’s mechanics which had a garage nearby. Their mechanics did an excellent job of repairing my car and restored it to its original condition. They estimated the time it would take to complete the repairs and were accurate in their estimation.

It was been a few years since it has been necessary for me to file any claims. This year when it was time to renew my contract, I realized that they had lowered my rate. I was very impressed that it was done automatically without any requests from me. Geico has convenient online payment options. I choose to have the premiums automatically deducted from my checking account. I have never had any problems by using this feature. They even have an option to delay the automatic withdrawal by a week when necessary.

Their website is extremely ease to navigate. I enjoy paying four months then having two months when a payment is not due. I like not having a paper bill sent to my house. All of my insurance requirements are kept at their site and are easy to locate.

I was paying $1007.50 with Farmers per 6 months! I received the same quote with Geico for $360.50!! Hello Geico. Thank you for being fair. I did not have to deal with service and claims, so I did not rate that.

I have been using geico insurance for last 3 yrs. every year they raised the premium amount though there was no event / claim repeorted in the last 3 yrs. The surprise came this year they raised the premium without informing me and it came to my notice when I checked my bank statement. When I called geico they told me they increased it because accident rate has gone up in the county I live. I asked them to cancell my policy, they said their manager will call me back and never happened. Geico not even pass any non claim bonus, but they might even take more money from your account with out informing you if you give them standing instruction for an auto pay. Be careful with these guys!!

I have currently been insured with geico for 6 months now. I choose Geico after leaving state farm because it was quite a bit cheaper, i was with State Farm for about four years and decided to see how much cheaper other companies would be.

Although i have low insurance limits and no collision on my car i am extremely happy with Geico’s price, it was about 50 dollars cheaper (per 6 months) than the next company. On top of that i recently had to switch my billing options from paying in one installment to four. Their website was extremely easy to use, and the customer service was also excellent.

Although i never had any problems with state farm, i have been much more impressed with geico. On top of that the Geico mobile app is super useful. It has insurance cards right on your phone and allows you to make claims right away. It makes checking your payment status and keeping up with payments convenient. Although i have yet to file a claim with Geico, i feel confident that if i do it will go as smoothly as everything else has gone since joining geico.

I would rate Geico a 5 star insurance company if it weren’t for their horribly annoying ads and their shameless pleading that you stay with them if you should decide to leave.

I left them a year ago because I got rid of my car and had no need for insurance anymore, but they continue to send me desperate letters pleading for me to come back. I’m not even exaggerating. One of the letters they sent me actually said, “Please come back, baby!” You’re one of the largest insurers in america, I’m sure you’ll do ok without me.

Even ending my insurance policy with them was a hassle. I explained that I was happy with their service, I just didn’t need car insurance because I didn’t have a car. They tried to hard sell me occasional driver insurance, for use in rental cars, and even renter’s insurance. It was like the saddest breakup ever. I think the sales rep was even choking back a few tears and saying he thought we really had something. It’s not you, GEICO, it’s me.

Neediness notwithstanding, they do a good job if you have a car. My insurance may have been higher than others, I can’t say. I didn’t shop around much. But after two accidents – one which totalled my car – they responded promptly and gave me my payout and got me back into a car again. The website is user friendly, and the customer service is great too. Just stop sounding so desperate, GEICO. It’s not attractive.

My insurance company is the best choice for me because I became unemployed for a while about 3 years ago. I had always made my insurance payments, but after my insurance lapsed for a time I couldn’t find an insurance company that would give us a policy. This was very annoying. GEICO went above and beyond what other companies would do and insured us.

The other companies were saying we needed to get insurance with someone else then come to them and they would give us a policy. This would be impossible if a company like GEICO didn’t exist. Also GEICO is very good because we make our payments monthly, which makes the payments smaller.

After researching several other companies, that would not allow us a policy, GEICO was the cheapest. GEICO is also very convenient because we can go online at any given time and print insurance cards. Our payments are automatically deducted from our account each month on a specific date.

GEICO cares about its customers. Any time I’ve needed to talk to someone or had a question they were always very nice and friendly and answered my questions quickly and were very informative. My family could not ask for a better insurance company to do business with. We would never switch companies, even if our payments were cheaper. A company that helps you in your time of need really deserves your loyalty and support. We will continue using GEICO because GEICO came through for us at a time when we really needed insurance.

I heard about this insurance company from my friend. I always wanted a trust worhty company for my auto insurance as I had been living in US since 2 years only and i wanted to go back home debt free. GEICO is one of the cheapest reliable auto insurance company. the customer service is excellent and they have a lot of patience.

recently I wanted to add my wife to the insurance and they provided me with the best rate possible since she had less than three years of experience. I didn’t believe them when they told that I can check with other companies and give a call back and i did call other companies for information and it was unbelievable that GEICO had the lowest rate of insurance. I didn’t have to think anymore to make a decision. I have added my wife to the auto insurance and she has been charged only 600$ approximately for 6 months which I believe is reasonable.

Overall the company has a very good policy covrage even though i am dissappointed that they don’t have medical payments included in the coverage.I am very happy that I am a member of this auto insurance company.I would definitely suggest GEICO to my friends.

I have been using the GEICO Car Insurance since the day I have been driving and I must say that I am more than happy to have chosen this service provider. GEICO has been very professional and customer oriented in handling all my concerns and clarifications. Their representatives have always assisted me in choosing the right type of coverage as per my requirements. It’s very simple to change your plan online or update information and I have always made alterations depending upon my needs. Their website is very self-explanatory, interactive and easy to use. I get regular reminders for payments and policy updates from them and hence I have never missed the billing deadlines. On rare occasions when I did miss a payment they were generous enough to revert any late fees charged to my account upon my request. Filing a claim with them is a very smooth and painless process and they do offer you sincere advice on the best options available to you. My car was once hit in the parking lot by another vehicle and was severely damaged. I immediately sought GEICO’S assistance and was impressed with their response and attitude and the way they promptly dealt with my claim. They guided me very well through the entire process and even after this incident they raised my insurance very reasonably and did not try to rip me off. I have also used their roadside assistance service and have been pleased with their promptness. I did not have to wait for very long from the time I called them to the time they arrived. Moreover, after being a policy holder for 5 years I qualified for their ‘Accident Forgiveness’ program which means that GEICO will not add a surcharge to my premium even if I encounter an accident in which I am at fault. This is one of the best benefits I have got for being a loyal customer and I feel pretty much relaxed now. I would certainly recommend GEICO to anyone who wants excellent service and wishes to feel valued as a customer.

My experience with Geico has been relatively neutral. There haven’t been any significant issues with them, other than difficulties with communicating through messages to change some personal information. You are also not always forewarned about how those changes will influence the cost.

Overall though, it has been a relatively uneventful relationship and therefore I must say that I am happy with their coverage and recommended it to my spouse as well. Their website is very helpful. It is typically quite easy to find any information that you need and they have a good FAQ section for commonly asked questions. They will also respond to you pretty quickly when you ask any particular questions. They will not always answer you clearly though.

One issue I have had with their website is that their explanations of coverage are very confusing and difficult to understand. I have had to do a lot of outside research on the internet in order to understand some of the information on there. I am still not completely sure what types of things are or are not covered in my policy. Their discounts are similar to other companies that I have looked into. I have recently researched other companies and found that I would prefer to stay with Geico since their prices are comparable and they have been reliant thus far.

They also give you reminders about when payments are due and also email verification that your payments have been received. Their mailing system isn’t completely great though, since I still frequently get ads from them as though I weren’t already a customer.

    |I initially decided to go with Geico because out of the better respected insurers, they gave me the best rates. The service has been pretty good, for the most part. I like the website and the customer service is REALLY good.

However I made two claims with them, and I have had little dings against my opinion on them in each. In the first claim, the insurance adjuster did a poor job of actually doing a comprehensive job of noting damage and approving repairs. I had to go without a car for an additional week after it was supposed to be done because they missed some very serious damage, and I didn’t want to hassle with getting another rental. To be fair to Geico though, I’m pretty sure the guy that did the adjusting was an independent contractor that they hire. But I was not pleased none the less.

In the second claim, there was a dispute over who was at fault. Geico found me to be not at fault, but when actually challenged they chose to avoid litigation and accepted going to an insurance arbitration board.

For this particular scenario, this was a very poor forum for my case. It was a tricky case, and one that needed discussion and explanation. There was also outstanding citations on the books that were used as evidence against me, but were dropped by the courts even before the arbitration…but it was already too late to submit evidence, even though the actual arbitration happened months after the scheduled date.

So, overall the price was mostly right and the customer service is friendly and helpful…but when it came down to where it really mattered, I was mostly let down.

Geico car insurance is the company that has provided my coverage for the last decade. As a matter of fact, my entire family is currently insured through Geico and we have been very happy with the service.

Several years ago, I spent a great deal of time shopping around for rates when my previous car insurance company raised my monthly payments for no reason. I chose Geico because it was the least expensive provider while offering good plans with low deductibles.

When my son turned 16 and began driving, I was worried that the cost of his auto insurance would be through the roof. I called Geico and was pleasantly surprised to learn I could afford the insurance for my teenager. Going through the process of adding him to my policy was simple and efficient.

When my son had a car accident, the adjuster came out right away and was very professional. The estimate to repair the vehicle was fair and although my insurance premium went up due to this accident, it wasn’t as much as I had anticipated. As time has gone by, and my son has become a better driver, our rates have actually dropped.

My husband has never had an accident or traffic infraction in his life and it has been many years since anyone in my family has. It is wonderful when your car insurance carrier actually rewards you for being a safe driver. I still check rates of other companies once in awhile, but don’t think I will ever find a company that is better overall.

I was extremely excited to have my first car at the age of 26. I couldn’t wait to get out on the road so I had to find a good insurance company fast. I did a little research online and I saw that on GEICO, I could get my car insured over the phone and have the ID cards mailed to me. I was all set with that by the end of the work day and was able to pick up my car after work. I’m a very on-the-go type person so I was excited to see that I could access almost all my information through the GEICO app.

Needless to say, you can access everything online as well. I’ve never had any kind of insurance on anything I’ve owned, so all of this was completely foreign to me. The lady I talked to at customer service was extremely helpful and spoke in terms I could understand. She also made sure to inform me that when I needed new ID cards, I could easily request it online and have it sent to me within a few days.

There are also reward programs for being a good/bad driver. I’ve saved a few bucks a month! I was skeptical at first, because I’ve heard people complain about the policy going up. So far, under the first year I have not had that issue.

The best thing I can say to summarize is that I feel well taken care of with GEICO. Awesome customer service, and ease of access.

I have been a customer of this company for over ten years. Their rates cannot be undersold, and their customer service is great. You can reach a real person, who is actually able to help you, during any hour, day or night. Many companies such as this have foreign call centers, and you can’t understand the person on the other end of the phone, nut this is certainly not the case with GEICO.

Another thing I really like about doing business with this company is that you can manage nearly everything over the web. Did you lose your I’d cards? No problem, just login and.print off new ones. Want to make a change in your policy? Same thing. Go on their website and you can do all of this and more.

Finally, they offer special rates for belonging to different groups, safe driver discounts, and safety discounts. Many people may have the mistaken view that you can only get this insurance if you are a government employee , but this is not the situation. Anyone can buy a policy, and depending on which groups that you belong to, your driving record, and other things such as the number of vehicles you have, you can get discounts to their already low rates..

My auto insurance company is Geico. I have always been a Geico customer ever since I started owning a car. At first it was difficult to get approved for coverage because Geico demands a squeaky clean driving record from its applicants. But after a thorough and detailed application process, I finally got in.

I think Geico’s rates are very competitive and reasonable compared to their competitors. Just out of plain curiosity, I recently obtained a rate quote from Travelers which is one of its competitors, and what Travelers quoted me was three times more expensive than Geico’s rates.

One convenient thing about Geico is that it has a web site where I can pay my premiums. I also use the website to file accident claims and to check the status of my policy. I can also print my insurance card and policy contract from the website.

What I like most about Geico aside from its reasonable rates is the quick and easy claims process. I have made a couple of accident claims over the years and I have never been dissatisfied or frustrated with its service. Its customer service agents are truly one of the most well-trained people in the industry. They are very professional and responsive of the customers’ needs.

Geico also has a really nice feature called Accident Forgiveness which as the term suggests “forgives” you of the consequences of an accident such as increased premium even when you are “at fault.” That’s why I love Geico. It’s the best in its class.

To be perfectly honest, I was not that aware of Geico’s auto insurance until their marketing campaign kicked into high gear through charming television advertisements raising my awareness of the brand. This might sound like a promotional ad patting Geico on the back for their famous computer generated lizard, but I’m being truthful and simultaneously explaining how little my awareness of auto insurance actually was.

Although I have nearly nothing to compare Geico with, I was impressed with the flexibility of the insurance, which has helped me in a few freak situations. Before writing this review I perused the internet for helpful points to remind me of my experience with this service, but I did not find very many relatable opinions until I realized how many other customers were having their own difficulties with Geico’s customer service.

Let’s be frank, because I already started this review by embarrassing myself with an admission of insurance ignorance: when you need to contact your insurance company for help regarding ‘any’ matter, it’s serious, and the quicker the insurance company can get a hold of you the better. Geico has given me a frustrating customer service experience twice, and both times were over the phone.

The first call lasted at leas half an hour before I could get down to brass tacks about a repeat bill they had sent me, while the second call seemed to reach an outsourced center and I had too much difficulty understanding the accent to be helped through my questions. I suppose this is a common complaint for any service provider, but insurance providers need to be especially diligent when answering customer complaints and questions – money is on the line.

I really appreciate my auto insurance company because I get treated respectfully. They treat me like I am a very important person when I call them. I feel like my insurance person actually cares about me and what happens to me.

I was involved in an accident a few months ago that was not my fault. I got on the phone and I was immediately connected to my insurance person. This was my very first accident ever and so I was very shook up both physically and emotionally. I was very stressed out and felt like I needed some help to figure out where to go from there. Because I had never been in an accident before, my insurance claims person talked me through what happens in the case of an accident.

She helped me to be able to understand what to expect and all those things. She helped me to get everything squared away because the accident, according to the police and various witnesses, was not my fault at all. It really felt good to feel like I had someone there who was on my side.

Maybe it helped that my insurance lady is a very kind and thoughtful person. I’m sure it did but I really feel like my insurance company actually cares about people. While it is important for them to make a profit, I think at the same time they really want to help people out. I would really recommend this insurance company to others because it’s a good one

I think geico has been a good car insurance company for me at least. Signing up was a convenient process, all taken care of by phone, and payment has always been easy. Paperless billing is a big plus for me, so that was good. Payment options have always been flexible, even when I make a late payment they give me a chance so I can pay up when the time comes. Never been cut off yet, never had any sort of problem with them, although I am the kind of driver that never really gets in wrecks, so it doesn’t matter that much.

I do have one complaint, one time I was late on a payment and they skipped and doubled up the payment, then they increased my bill after that every time! I really don’t like that. But otherwise they have been good to me.

I recently bought a new car, and when I was shopping for my car I did what any responsible auto buyer does and checked with my insurance company at the time (State Farm) to see how much my insurance premiums would increase. I expected my premiums to increase, because I was moving from and old, beat-up Honda Civic to a nice, new sedan, but when they told me I was looking at a 100% increase I thought that seemed a little high.

I have been with State Farm since my first car needed insurance, and they have always been great when it comes to customer service, but I wasn’t looking to spend that much more a month on insurance, so I started looking around. A friend of mine said she had a good experience with GEICO, so I got a quote online, which literally only took 15 minutes by the way, and they gave me a much better price than State Farm. I was a little suspect at first, because I was used to State Farm and having an agent, but I looked up some reviews and figured I would give them a chance. I haven’t looked back.

I will say that I cannot vouch for their accident support, because I have never been involved in an accident myself, but everything about GEICO has been great. Customer service has been superb. I love the online insurance center. Printing insurance cards could not be easier. This is how an insurance company should be run. Combining all this with the difference in price make me wonder how much money I have wasted over the years. I am very pleased, and would recommend them to anyone.

Our limited experience thus far with Geico has been extremely positive. We used to have Allstate for many years and their premiums just kept rising every year. When our policy was about to expire, we decided to look for other opinions in the auto insurance market. You would have to live in a cave of in the middle of nowhere to not have heard of Geico before. Their hilarious commercials are all over the place, and the recommendations we reached through word of mouth praised how great this insurance company really is. When we first inquired about switching over to Geico, not only were we able to save hundreds of dollars, but we were able to get an even better, more comprehensive policy. We signed up right away, after having all our questions and concerns taken care of by the staff, and we received our policy, as well as ID cards and all right away. We actually had to file a claim pretty early on in our policy from a small accident near the vicinity of our home. The staff over at Geico did an exemplary job at assisting us with our accident, telling us what to do and how and where to go to get our car repaired. They were able to take a stressful and worrying situation, and make it as painless as possible. In the past year, we have added two new cars to our home, all of them covered by Geico. We have also gotten our grandmother to switch, and recommended the company to all those looking for a great auto insurer.

My wife and I decided to move to tennessee three years ago and our insurance was due to be renewed. well we had been with progressive for almost 10 years by myself and another 2 with my wife. Unfortunately when we moved our insurance with progressive was going to skyrocket because they told me its higher to have insurance in our state. this wasnt good enough for our family so we started looking for around for another insurance company and geico was who we chose. Not only did they lower the rate from what progressive quoted they actually went even lower than what our current payment was with progressive in our old state. We have had no problems maing our payments online and customer service has always been great. We have never had an accident or ticket so i cant speak on the rate increases if they happen hopefully we can keep on trucking and never have to worry ab out that again! My family would recommend geico to anyone living in tennessee as we have not been able to find anyone else that has offered us cheaper rates with the great coverage that we get.

So, after myriad phone calls to Geico, ZERO communication from them regarding policy coverage or status of the repair to my car, sparse incidence of returned phone calls from Corporate, I was finally able to get the Damage Adjuster’s supervisor on the phone who insinuated that I’m a liar after explaining to him all of the aforementioned. If you are insured through Geico, expect to have a similar experience. I will certainly be switching providers once this debacle finally comes to a conclusion. Don’t get lured in by the slightly lower premiums. You too will end up paying the difference and then some in the longrun!

My family and I have been using Geico for over 10 years. The primary reason that they have kept us around as a customer for this long is simply because of their superb customer service. The associates who work for them are always friendly and extremely helpful. If they are supposed to find out information for you, they do it quickly and efficiently. If they are supposed to call you back, they actually do it, and in a very timely manner. I have never been left waiting for a long period of time and that is the case for my family members who also use them.

As far as filing a claim goes, they make is easy and painless and can offer you advice on what is the best decision to make. A few months ago, I was parked in a parking lot when a woman cut across the parking lot and smashed in the side of my car and back bumper. I was devastated. Luckily, the woman, who was in her 90’s, finally, came to a stop about 100 feet away. I was able to file a police report and get down all of her information. She was also using Geico as her insurance. I was able to call Geico, explain my situation, and was advised on exactly what to do. The lady who helped me even started the claim for me, even though I was filing against the other woman’s auto insurance policy.

She was extremely helpful in getting all the information and setting me up to get my car fixed as well as a rental car. The many questions that I had were answered thoroughly. This is the case any time I have had to contact Geico and because of this, my family and I will continue to be loyal customers for many years to come.

I am with Geico for almost 2 years now. Recently I filed my first claim after I had a hit and run incident. The attitude of the claim adjuster was horrible. I would have paid almost 4 times in premium than the amount I claimed.

Geico is a chameleon that shows its actual color after You file a claim.

I have just switched to Geico and I love it! They are telling the truth when they say that you save a lot of money, because they charge me way less money than my previous insurance company, and their services are way better as well. I have had no problems with customer service, and I am always calling the with questions about my insurance. The customer service representatives are polite, and their main goal is to make sure that you are happy, and any issues are resolved. I am happy that I decided to switch, because it is way better than my previous insurance.

My car was just hit last week by a careless driver, and they did not boost my premium because of the accident, and I am so happy about that. I am a college student who does not have much money or a great driving history, but they will still give you great coverage. There was a time that my car broke down on the side of the road and they would not help me, because roadside assistance was not a part of my policy. They told me that I would have to pay an additional $75 on to my premium, and I could not use the services until the next business day. That really annoyed me, because as a loyal customer I felt as if they should have just helped me out that one time.

Other than that incident, I really do not have many bad things to say about Geico. I was sent to this company by my sister, and I see why she loves it so much. I will recommend Geico to anyone, because they are that great!

Geico has been one of the best, if not the best insurance company for cars that I have ever experienced. I have never had a wreck or accident that was my fault, however the price alone is basically what I am writing a raving review about.

Most of the time I have paid a crazy amount it seems for car insurance, and thought that Geico was the same way. I thought I had done a quote with them in the past and they were actually more expensive than most actually. It turns out they have been the cheapest auto insurance I have ever had the chance to have.

Not only that, the customer service rep on the phone was so laid back and chill. He bared with me as I fumbled for information and asked questions. I must say, he was very patient with me and was very helpful. I was able to get a printout immediately to show that I was covered. That was very helpful to ease my mind as I was in a hurry to get out on the road. It also helped ease my mother’s mind which is a very hard thing to do. The real card came very promptly in the mail which was a surprise as well.

I sound like a paid actor or something, but seriously, this was a great experience all around. I expected a long drawn out process and a surly customer service representative just because it seems to be the normal thing nowadays. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Pretty much in every way, shape, and form. Geico would be something I would easily recommend to anyone looking to get affordable, efficient, and easy to get auto insurance.

I am not that much satisfied with this insurance company.

I had a very bad experience.I met with an accident last month in Boston and the appraiser who is chosen by the insurance did not arrive at the right time. Also I had to pay extra money for the rental coverage. The insurance company did not respond to most of my calls and when i called them, they told that the second appraiser will be coming as the first appraiser couldn’t come due to some unavoidable circumstances.

When the car was taken to the auto repair shop as instructed by the insurance company, they didn’t repair the car unless the second appraiser would arrive. This was most disappointing.

I would suggest all my friends not to be a part of this insurance company as this is the worst company I have ever seen. They cheat everyone and do not respond to our questions and say false reasons when called. Also they charged me an extra amount for the rental coverage.

The most disgusting thing was about customer service. They didn’t responded to my calls and if they attended they will say false reasons. The claims service is also not good.Overall,my experience with this insurance company is disappointing and it’s definitely sure that I will not recommend this to anyone.

I switched to GEICO for my auto insurance in 2010, because my other insurance kept going up. I was able to go online and get all the necessary price quotes and coverage I wanted. I then was able to submit my payment and print my coverage cards. Within 5 minutes a person from GEICO called me and went over my coverage. She even found me discounts and saved me even more money. In the last 2 years I have found them to be a great insurance company.

When I bought my new truck, I was able to add it to my policy and remove my old vehicle from the comfort of my own home on my computer. I can review my policy and all on my IPhone application for GEICO. I really like being able to do things from my home computer or IPhone because when you have to call it takes so much time, and also I can access my account online when it is convient for me. Each month they send me a payment reminder 10 days before they draft it out of my account.

Any questions that I have ever had have been fully answered quickly. While I have not had to experience a claim with them. I do not expect any problems if I did. One neat thing is claims can even be filed online or through your IPhone application. GEICO provides quality insurance and great customer service, while providing a great price. They have really saved me a ton of money on my insurance.

I am not satify with geico that much. Recently I asked the quote from geico, i got it with reasonable price and I purchased it. During the quote there was one question, did you have any accident in past 5 years, I answered “No” because I did not have any with my fault. After few days of purchasing the policy, they increased my policy premium. I asked them why it increased, they told me that I have an accident record in my dirving history. I told me that yes I had, but it wasn’t my fault, then why should it count against me? They told me that its simply a part of my driving history.

I think its not reasonable to increase the policy premiun because the accident wasn’t my fault and did not count against me. The insurence compnay should think and look about this thing. Without any mistake whey should I pay more?

Signing up with GEICO is a simple process that is all done online. The rate they quoted me was lower than all the others. Because I had gone a couple of years without a car, some of the quotes were pretty high. GEICO provided the coverage I needed until my car was involved in a hit and run accident while parked at the curb.

My policy did not cover property damage. I understood that, but they did not help me out at all. The agent actually sounded bored with me when I asked about finding the person who hit my car.

Then, they wanted to charge me for a four day lapse of insurance when I did not renew my policy. The representative said the lapse would affect the price of my next policy unless I sent them the money. The car was not drivable and I had filed the non-op paperwork with the DMV. But, there were four days between my policy ending and the day I filed with the DMV.

Sure enough, the quotes I received from other companies were high because of the lapse and the accident being on my record. I had to go to several agents and explain what had happened. I also had to show them proof that the accident was not my fault. GEICO let me down. My driving record is perfect but, because of them, it was hard to get a fair quote from anyone.

They were uncaring and did nothing to try and keep me as a customer. There is no personalized service, no perks for having a good driving record. GEICO is an example of a company who is only interested in how much money is in it for them. I would not recommend them to anyone. I may even run the gecko over if I see him.

My husband and I had Progressive Insurance and were happy with them. They handled our claim swiftly when we had a deer/ auto collision. We decided to try Geico because their rates were lower. Big mistake.
Geico commercials portray that you can do so much online. We could not file a claim online. We had to speak with a Geico Representative and have them mail specific claim paperwork that is not available online. Here’s why…. part of their scam is to say they will mail you the paperwork. When we did not receive it, we called again. We were told that it may take time to receive it and we should give it a few more days. When it never came, after a few more days, we called again to have it resent. During the course of our claim, we had to mail all correspondence certified mail or they would claim that they never received it. Even with the certified mailing, we would call and ask if it was received, when we had proof that it was, and they would say they never received it. When we pointed out that we had proof it was received, they would say “Well, I can check the mail room.” It was such an uphill battle with this company. Check online at all of the real review sites and you will find many similar stories. That’s how they get all of their advertising money, they aren’t paying their claims.

Geico insurance has been great for me, and my family over the past five years I have been associated with them. I started using Geico services back in 2007. Before them I had another insurance company, I will not state who it is to not slander them, but I will say this their services were inferior.

With Geico I have had nothing but, positive experiences with them. The customer service I have experienced with Geico is some of the best around. Whenever I have needed any type of help with any questions, or concerns, I have simply picked up the phone, and they have always promptly answered everything. The prices they offer are also very accessible adjusting plans to your needs and budget is no problem and can be easily done simply by calling or using their website.

A few years ago I had a accident where my family and I was making a cross country trip, and our car burnt up. All of our possessions, and car was destroyed. So, what we did is we gave them a call, and they promptly responded setting us up in a hotel, and providing our tickets to get back home. They really took care of us that time. When we got home they took care of the car as well.

I also deeply enjoy the ease of using their website. It really makes your experience of quotes very simple, and just a few clicks away. If you ever need your ID cards all you do is simply go on the website, and new ones can be printed for you with just a few simple clicks, no need to wait for the mail to get them to you. In all I have had great experiences with them, and I will continue to trust in their services for the years to come.

I have been a Geico customer for about 5 years after deciding to make the switch to save a some money. They are always amazing. They explain all the coverage in detail and make suggestions to ensure you have the best coverage possible. With my old insurance company I honestly have no idea what kind of coverage I had. They never took the time to explain anything to me.

Last year I was in an accident, that was my fault, and Geico has been wonderful assisting me during the entire process. The owner of the other vehicle was trying to get a lot more money than they deserved and because Geico made sure that I was properly insured there have been no problems. I have had to spend quite a bit of time on the phone with customer service as well as the claims department.

They are always very friendly and they are very easy to understand. The last representative I spoke to I made a point to speak to her supervisor to give some positive feedback. She was wonderful. They have handled everything from start to finish and even made a point to tell me NOT to speak to the attorney of the other driver.

They advertise that you can save money with them and this is also true. The other insurance company never gave any kind of discounts and I was a customer with them for over 10 years. I wouldn’t change insurance companies again even if I could save more money. They are great!!

I was a little bit leary when switching to Geico. I thought that since it was a big company, they would not care about their individual customers as much as a smaller agency would. I could not have been more wrong.

The application process was super easy and fast. I was approved within minutes. Geico has excellent customer service and they are very friendly and helpful.

I was in an auto accident in July of 2011 and thought my world was crashing around me. I was expecting my premiums to go out the roof. The agent came to access the damages the very next day. I was shocked to learn that not only were they going to give me the full blue book value of my car, but also they did not change my rates one bit. It wasn’t my fault so it did not count against me. I thought I would have to practically beg for any kind of settlement which was not the case at all. I recommend getting the full coverage if you can afford it because it’s worth the extra money.

I recently had my mother switch to Geico as well. I insured her under the most basic plan, just making it legal enough for her to drive. She loves it and hasn’t had a complaint. I absolutely love that I can pay my bill online or even have it taken out of my checking account automatically so I do not miss a payment. I plan on sticking with Geico for a long time.

Geico is only a good deal if you have a good driving record, fit into one of their low-rate categories, and never get into an accident. Unfortunately, we can’t all be so lucky. And if you’re in an accident involving Geico, it probably won’t end well. I’ve had two incidents with this awful insurance company:

When I had insurance with Geico in 2010, I had a minor at-fault accident and the “customer service” agents I spoke to were generally rude and impatient on the phone. The Geico representative who performed my estimate at the repair shop seemed to have very little knowledge of cars and repairs. She could not answer even my basic questions about what the repair would entail. After the whole ordeal, they canceled my policy mid-term and informed me that I could reinstate my policy for double the rate I was paying before. No thanks, I found another insurance company that offered me the same coverage at a rate not much higher than what I was paying before. I’m much happier with my new insurance company.

On the flip side, a Geico insured driver recently hit my car. My insurance company promptly filed a claim with Geico, yet it took almost two weeks to hear back from them. When the Geico representative called to interview me regarding the accident, her tone was hostile and she seemed to be asking loaded questions to try and get me to admit some fault. They’ve disregarded the statements of an independent witness to the accident and are now insisting on arbitration rather than paying the damages caused by their irresponsible driver. So even though I’m no longer insured by Geico, they continue to complicate my life.

We’ve had Geico, my husband and I, for many years now, to be precise, since 1995. We used to have only one compact car, a small and sturdy Nissan Sentra from 1995 we bought in Miami as our first car shortly after we married. We recently added a van to the car equation for our family, a Honda Odyssey from 2011 in order to be able to comfortably travel long distances with the family and our dog, a Bichon Frise.

For both vehicles we use Geico and we will keep using the same car insurance company in the future. We haven’t had many claims to file with Geico but the very few over the years were always dealt with in a very diligent and prompt manner. Geico has always provided very good service and prompt answers to our questions and never misses a deadline by sending the cards always on time.

We periodically receive offers from other companies to switch companies, from both local and national car insurance companies, and we always decline them as we are happy with Geico. The only insurance for our cars not covered by Geico, and we use a different company for that, is insurance to assist us in case we need help while on a trip. In order to be really protected when it comes to travel, we supplement the car insurance with AAA in case we have problems, as we had with the aging Nissan while we travel.

I have Geico insurance for the past 6 years. I nothing but positive things to say about the services I have been offered though out my tenure as a customer with them. All of my families cars have been insured through them, and I have the utmost confidence to place my families safety in their hands.

The quote process is a easy and painless affair to partake in. I tried other insurance agency’s before them, And they were always calling in the most in inopportune times possible. When ever I have had a claim or a question. The agents have always been the friendliest and helpful around, always answering your questions asap. The ability to look and change all of your information online make the geico service that much more enjoyable, easy to use and interactive.

Also, my wallet enjoys the affordable plans for safe drivers they offer. The commercials they advertise on TV are right on, when they say that they are the best around. They offer all kinds of different types of insurance policies for what ever vehicle you can think of. Also, if you need a extra card policy to print out, they make the service absolutely easy and painless process, that even a caveman can do(small Geico pun).

Plus they have the cutest mascot ever to advertise their service. That is totally irrelevant to the service but the Gecko is so darn cute I had to mention it somewhere. Overall If your looking into changing your policy or activating a new one, I highly recommend you take a look at Geico. They do not disappoint.

With GEICO, I have had a very positive experience, overall. First: the initial process of obtaining car insurance with GEICO was painless, compared to other insurance companies. Everything could be handled online, and GEICO’s website is very intuitive and easy to use. My proof of insurance cards were sent promptly within a few days.

I also very much appreciated that GEICO did not feel the need to check my credit, unlike other insurance companies. A credit check is simply another hoop to go through that shouldn’t be necessary to get something that my state requires me to have.

I also appreciated the variety of plans available. I chose the monthly payment plan because it best fits my budget. And the price was definitely one reason I chose GEICO over its competitors. My Camaro required a higher monthly payment with nearly every other insurance company. The only ones that outbid GEICO received very poor reviews online, so I paid a tiny bit more to go with a company I felt I could trust. And the act of paying my bill was very easy to accomplish online.

That trust was well-rewarded when I unfortunately had a fender bender last year. An SUV rear-ended my Camaro at a stoplight. Thankfully I wasn’t physically hurt, but my car had major damage to the bumper, as well as smashed and broken tail-lights. I called GEICO and spoke with a friendly, helpful associate who walked me through the claims process. I decided to take advantage of GEICO’s Auto Repair XPress program, which was a nice all-in-one service that gave me a damage estimate, gave me a rental car, and did the repairs. Finally, and most importantly, GEICO’s check was in my mailbox even before the repairs were completed.

Many of the more local, higher-priced auto insurance companies will try to tell you that GEICO is too large and too faceless to give you good service, but you shouldn’t believe those claims. I have never regretted choosing GEICO, and I even added renter’s insurance to my overall policy. I plan on using GEICO for the foreseeable future

I recently switched back to GEICO after being with Progressive for several years. I was originally unsatisfied with GEICO because they dropped my coverage after I submitted 2 claims with them. I vowed to never use them again, but I became upset with Progressive because I sold my only vehicle and canceled my coverage. When I purchased a new vehicle, I got a quote from Progressive to add my new vehicle. When it came time to purchase the policy I was told my quote was no longer valid and my premium was raised significantly.

I was upset with them so I got a quote from GEICO. GEICO’s price was much lower than Progressive, even though I had been with Progressive longer. All-in-all I’m more satisfied with GEICO than Progressive because my premium is lower and they have a nifty Android app which lets me view insurance information and my ID cards right from my phone. It’s very convenient to use the phone app when I’m in my vehicle (not driving, of course!)to check payment or coverage information instead of having to log on to a website by using my phone’s tiny key pad.

Also, I really like the GEICO mascot. I know that may be kind of a crazy reason to like an insurance company, but I love lizards and the GEICO gecko is very funny. As long as I don’t have any more issues with GEICO dropping me for submitting a claim, I will be satisfied staying with them. I’m still a little upset about what they did in the past, but everyone deserves a second chance…especially if they have lower rates.

Geico has been a good car company for low cost car insurance for our family. They have always answered our questions, and been patient when we changed our policy. Geico even has a smartphone app to allow us to file a claim, manage our policy, get ID cards, roadside assistance, and a quote.

Our monthly payments are directly taken out of our bank account so we never miss a payment. Geico is very customer friendly, in our experience with them.

In the two years we have been Geico customers, we have only had one claim. We were headed several states away on a family vacation. I spun out a rental car after narrowly missing a deer. We were fortunate that none of us was injured. There was no damage to other cars or to any property. Happily, our rental car was covered by the insurance that the car we own is. Sadly, we only had liability, so the damage the rental company tried to blame on us wasn’t covered. That was our mistake, not Geico’s. Lesson learned: always make sure your car is as fully insured as you can afford for it to be. We notified Geico of our accident as soon as we got home. The Geico associate patiently sat through listening to what had happened, and immediately let us know what would have been covered in the accident.

We appreciated Geico’s honesty, without making us wait to find out we weren’t covered for damages to the car we were driving.

I’ve always been very pleased with the way I’ve been treated at Geico. It is surprisingly modestly priced, at least compared to other companies I’ve looked into, and provides a wide range of coverage depending on your needs.

I’ve been especially in love with them since one time my parked car was hit, shattering the bumper, while I wasn’t around. Even though I didn’t witness the accident or have any idea who hit my car, Geico gave me no trouble and the bumper was replaced. I did have to pay around $800 upfront, but that was reimbursed, so no harm no foul. It was really convenient too – I went to a shop right by my house and they handled all the conversations between themselves and Geico, without forcing me to make countless phone calls to make sure everyone was on the same page.

Only complaint – the shop took longer than I would have hoped to repair/replace my bumper. I’m not sure how much control Geico had over that, but if they have any way of creating incentives for quick repairs, that would be one area of improvement. Still, considering the fact that one day I walked up to my car to see a gaping hole in the bumper, and a week later I was driving a car with no visible damage, for $0… I can’t complain.

Staff was very nice and helpful, not to mention knowledgeable. I wasn’t passed around from one department to another on the phone, which was great, because I HATE being on hold over and over again. Really quality service.

I have had Geico for around five months after previously having Allstate insurance and I could not be happier about the switch. Geico provides me with excellent customer service to answer any questions that I ever have. I requested a quote from Geico on a day and they got back to me within the same day and gave me a very reasonable quote. I have never had to file a claim with Geico but I am confident that if I ever had any problems that Geico would come through for me and provide me with excellent service.

When I had Allstate, they were charging me a ridiculous amount of money for the exact same type of coverage and insurance that I am currently getting from Geico. I am a fairly younger person and I drive a Cadillac. When I was with Allstate, they wanted to charge me so much money and even more than I had in order to have insurance on my car. Geico is not this same way, they are very reasonable in their prices and they explain why the put the prices they do when I contacted them.

Geico also offers online billing for me which is very convenient. They e-mail when my bill is due a few days before to remind me and make sure that I do not forget. The billing online is very quick and I have never had any problems getting my payment to Geico or keeping up with the payment. I would recommend Geico to anyone looking for a good deal and service on car insurance. I rate them five out of five for sure.

Our auto insurance company is Geico. We have been insured by them for about six years for both of our cars, a 1998 Toyota van and a mid sized 2005 Toyota Corolla.

About a year ago, we had an incident occur that would solidify our belief that we had chosen the right insurance company for our car insurance needs. On this particular day, my husband took his car to the quick mart for milk. After leaving the store, he started the car and got about a block when the engine caught on fire. He pulled the car over and tried to put out the fire himself before someone called the fire department and they arrived and put out the fire. The fire burned through the engine and hood but not dramatically so as the fire was put out quickly.

We called Geico and had the car towed to our auto repair shop in town. Geico responded immediately to our call. They set up an appointment that same week for an appraiser to come out and check the damage to the car. We assumed it would simply be a repair issue. When asked what my husband thought may have happened to cause the fire, he told them he’d had the battery replaced a week before that time. Despite another company being responsible for the faulty battery install, Geico covered the loss completely.

About two weeks later, we had a check in the mail for the full replacement cost of the vehicle, as they considered it totaled because the wiring had been burned through. In the end, our rates did NOT go up at all and we are still happily insured with our replacement car, through Geico! Now that is an awesome car insurance company, in my opinion.

I had a terrible experience with one of the auto insurance company in the past. They never extended help and support which I badly needed once my car was hit by a speeding motorcyclist. I contacted them multiple times for an appointment but all in vain. I never had trust left in any of the company dealing with auto insurance.

Then, GEICO auto insurance company was referred to me by one of my co-worker. As past experience dictated, I contacted them online with a heavy heart. But their customer care representative responded so nicely that I found it an awesome conversation which proved fruitful for the times to come.

I was impressed by their practical response once my car met an accident. I contacted them and within an hour, their representative was with me for accessing the damage and giving me a pledge to pay all the expenses for its repair. They helped me a great deal and offered the best services. I was not expecting such a prompt response from them, but that is how, they proved themselves best in customer care.

Their customer care is second to none as they have dedicated mobile teams who ensure prompt response to their customers. They reach out themselves rather than customer run after them. I cherish my experience with GEICO and look forward to keep affiliated with them. I would recommend the company for all those who truly want to benefit in bad times. Thumbs up for GEICO.
