Country Financial began as a fire and lightning insurance company in 1925. In 1927, they started selling auto insurance to their client base. Like State Farm Insurance, Country Financial is headquartered in Bloomington, Illinois. Country Financial is sometimes referred to as Country Companies Insurance.

Country Financial is segmented by several different property and casualty insurance companies which covers auto insurance. These include Country Mutual Insurance Company, Country Preferred Insurance Company, Country Casualty Insurance Company, Modern Service Insurance Company, MSI Preferred Insurance Company, Middlesex Mutual Insurance Company, Holyoke Mutual Insurance Company, Shield Insurance Company, and Cotton States Mutual Insurance Company. They are a smaller company with just over 2,600 policies in force as of 2008.

My country financial auto insurance agent works very hard for me. I was put in a tight financial spot, and had a lot of problems to deal with. Although my new 6 month policy should have been raised due to my own DMV record, my agent talked with his supervisor and worked out a policy that did not raise at all, in fact in lowered a few dollars a month! I was very impressed by the effort applied to helping me out in a difficult time. I recommend Country Mutual Insurance 100%. And yes, you probably can find cheaper rates, but with my situation I’m gonna give them 5 stars up and down!

My Country Agent is awesome, she takes her time to make sure we have all the coverage we need. Ive heard some bad things about Country previously, but if you go in and listen to their advice on being properly insured, you have nothing to worry about. I leave making an informed choice everytime… I rated the price as 4 stars because even though I could find my insurance for less, there is no one that will put my needs first like my agent.
