The company is headquartered in Van Wert, Ohio and has 3 other regional offices that they work out of. They sell insurance through independent agents in the eastern and southern parts of the United States over the span of 18 different states.

    Stay away. Stay far, far away from Central Insurance. Absolutely not a “helping hand” here. Had an accident on Sept. 19, work didn’t start until Oct. 4, work not completed until Nov. 10. (actual work took 2 weeks max). The remaining time our vehicle sat, waiting for Central to respond to us and to the dealership. And certainly don’t call the number on the back of the card when you are in an emergency unless you want to hear that they know nothing about your insurance coverage. Bottom line, they did end up paying, but it was a circus of the grandest magnitude.

    I’ve been a customer since 1995 and they continue to treat customers horrible. But not for long. I wouldn’t even give them a star in any dept but that’s not a option

    I wouldnt even give them a star. I filed a claim because their insured hit my car and over 3 weeks after filing the claim it was denied. Police report was taken showing their insured at fault.

    Company had no contact with me other than when i called to submit claim so no updates til recieving denial. Customer service was horrible lady was rude and i never once lost my temper with her i was nothing but nice. No one ever come out to look at car NOTHING.

    As a result i cant get my car fixed unless i pay for damage that someone else did. Or i pay to take the actual driver to court and go after him for damages. I dont even want to imagine what would happen if this had been a very serious accident and my car was undrivable! Would you want your personal property in their hands?
