American Family Car Insurance Discounts

Finding ways to save money with American Family car insurance discounts.

American Family Car Insurance Discounts are offered for a wide variety of reasons by American Family Insurance, including some that you don’t always see from other companies.  If you don’t already have American Family and some of these discounts apply to you, you may want to look into getting a quote from them.

American Family Vehicle Discounts

• Air Bag Discount – Discount rates range from 10 to 30 percent for private passenger vehicles that are equipped with factory-installed air bags.

American Family Driver Discounts

• Accident-Free Discount– In certain states, good drivers are eligible for a 5 percent discount if you’ve insured your vehicle with American Family Insurance for three consecutive years without an accident. After 6 years without an accident, you could be eligible for a 10 percent insurance discount.
• Good Driver Discount – Drivers that have no accidents, violations or claims could receive 5 to 10 percent off their premiums.
• Defensive Driver Discount – 5 to 10 percent discount for those that have completed an approved defensive driving course and meet specific age requirements.
• Good Student Discount – This discount varies based on certain factors that your American Family Car Insurance agent can go over with you.
• mySafetyValet — Based on driving performance, this discount could save you 5% at first and then after six months into the program, up to 30%. Discount percentages vary. This program is not available in all states.

American Family Policy Discounts

• EarlyBird Discount – If you’re an auto customer holding an active policy with another carrier and receive a quote from us at least seven days before it goes into effect, there may be a discount in it for you. Discount percentages will vary
• Multiple Vehicle Discount – Insure one or more vehicles on the same policy and you could paying less than if they were insured on separate policies
• Steer into Savings Discount – Switching to American Family from another insurance company could qualify you for a discount

American Family Special Discounts

• TimeAway Discount – For drivers up to 24-years-old who are attending school 100 miles or more away from home and do not have the insured vehicles could be eligible for a discount.
