USAA Reviews

United Services Automobile Association (USAA) was founded in 1924 by a group of Army officers. They’re headquartered in San Antonio, Texas. They sell auto, home, and life insurance to military personnel and their dependents. In recent years, they’ve begun selling to other government employees. The below USAA reviews are from actual customers.

USAA does not have an agency force, but markets their products directly to their prospective customers. If you have had USAA car insurance, leave a review about your experience, good or bad.

I’d had USAA car insurance since I was 16. When I was 33 I was rear ended at highway speed and airlifted to a trauma unit. I was ok other than severe whiplash. However you might imagine the bills I accrued with all of these emergency serivces. USAA balked at every medical bill even though I had $50,000 of medpay insurance. They even tried to decline the ambulance and airlift bills. I haven’t used USAA since then because of the amount of stress this added to my recovery, although I must admit this is sadly what I would probably experience with any other insurance. It was a complete let-down after paying loyally for 18 years.

I have been extremely happy with USAA as my auto insurance company and highly recommend there service to anyone who is eligible to be a member. My rates are fantastic. When I switched companies about 4 years ago I got better coverage and still paid less than my previous company.

I haven’t had to file a claim with USAA, but I have dealt with their customer service on the phone and have always been completely satisfied with the service provided to me. I have moved 4 times since having insurance with USAA and it is easy to change my coverage online and to print out a new insurance card immediately.

The website gives you so many options to choose your coverage and you can compare your current policy to your old one. This was especially helpful when I moved states as some states have different required coverage amounts. I am completely satisfied with USAA and intend to keep them as my insurance company for life.

My car was getting older and in need of some repairs I figured I would be selling it and I had been driving a different family car. I was still paying insurance on my vehicle and it had been nearly a year since I drove it.

I called up USAA thinking that I could just drop the coverage and have no worries. The lady I spoke with explained to me the whole process you have to go through in order to drop coverage all together. She suggested that I just keep it insured under a garaged policy and that way should the need ever arise I could pull it back out of storage and drive it again. I asked her several questions and she was happy to explain to me and give me her own personal insight.

Her advice saved me a serious headache because a few months later the family car I was driving hit. It was going to be in the shop for a few days and I needed to pull my car out of storage. If I had gone the other direction and she had not taken the time to explain to me my choices I would have had no car to drive. So I am thankful for the woman whom I spoke to who took the time to educate me on my options.

I have had USAA insurance coverage for my home and automobiles for over five (5) years and have been very satisfied with my experience. While I have not made any claims for my home, I have had at least two claims associated with my automobile coverage.

My first automobile claim with USAA was when the sunroof on my wife’s car was broken by falling debris. The claim process was quick and easy, and we had several convenient options of where we could the repairs completed. During the claim process the USAA agent that I was working with mentioned to me that my current deductible amount could be significantly lowered by paying less than $10 more per month. I was honestly shocked that my insurance company would proactively inform me on ways that I could save money on their services.

My most recent automotive claim experience with USAA was this past summer, when I was at fault during an accident. The service process was quick and efficient, and the other individual involved in the accident mentioned to me how great her experience was with dealing with my insurance provided, as she had zero issues making her claim and receiving repairs on her vehicle.

During this claim process I was able to get estimates from any repair shop that I desired, and was able to choose the estimate that I felt best fit my needs vs. the insurance company choosing for me. This allowed me to utilize a repair shop that I already had a relationship with vs. the USAA requiring me to utilize one of their “preferred” repair shops.

USAA is the best insurance that I have ever owned. I have had to use their claims service twice for small minor fender benders that I was not at fault for and I must say that their customer service representative are the nicest I have used for anything. They were knowledgeable, easy to work with and willing to walk me step by step through the process of submitting a claim.

They had first had knowledge of my policy and were able to resolve my claim very quickly. I received my money into my account within a week to get my car fixed. They had many shops that I could choose from to get my work done at. The best part was that my insurance premiums did not go up at all. This was the reason I left my other insurance company. They raised my rates even after the police report found that I was not at fault for the accident.

I would recommend USAA to anyone who can get their insurance. They are reasonably priced and provide the best and most reliable customer service I have ever had the privilege of dealing with. Whenever you call them, a person always greets you and I have never waited more than ten minutes when trying to contact them. They have always been able to help me with whatever I need and I have not been given the run around or switched to a manager to solve the problem.

These guys are the best in the business and it shows in everything they do.

I have had USAA car insurance for the past 15 years. It’s the only car insurance company I have used since I started using them, and they have been truly exceptional from the standpoints of both service and economics. I am familiar with both their full coverage and limited liability insurance policies because I have generally converted my cars to limited liability after I have fully paid them off.

The thing that I like about USAA is that they do not treat their customers as an opportunity. They truly provide value when there is a problem. For example, we were in a recent situation where we had accidentally banged the side of another person’s car while we were on vacation. We were using a rental, and luckily my policy covered rental cars. I didn’t have my insurance policy, so I just gave the other driver my USAA number and within a day USAA had analyzed and completely handled the claim with almost no input from me.

In other instances I have had my car hit from the side and rear, and USAA was very comfortable and quick in making an estimate, finding service, and paying for the repairs. One of the best characteristics of USAA in these instances has been their very long hours on call and their very quick response time. They have adjustors near almost any location, and they give the impression of being more concerned with your safety and handling your situation than with making a few dollars from the transaction.

The roadside assistance from USAA has been better than AAA, and I have relied on them several times to get me out of a bind.

My family uses USAA automobile insurance. I have been a member of USAA since I first received my driver’s license. They have been fantastic every step of the way.

The only way that I would ever change from them is if I could find the exact same coverage at a significant discount. I have shopped around, however, and found that nobody can compete with the coverage my wife and I get at the cost we pay.

They do the simple things well, and that makes a statement. My wife was in an auto accident for example, and they were perfect in the handling of the case. Our caseworker emailed us personally, we could work on our claim and check the status 24/7 by logging into the website, and she showed that she cared for us. The auto accident claim number was just simply our policy number, which makes it very easy to track.

Their website is terrific, and simple to use. They do also pay dividends yearly to customers of their auto insurance. Each year we get a small but helpful check around the end of the year. The only downfall to USAA is in its design. The only people that are eligible are military personnel or family. I do wish that I could refer friends in to USAA, so everyone could get the good service I get. I know of others who have had a lot of trouble with their insurance and therefore are not very loyal and end up switching insurance companies often. I would recommend them to anyone who is eligible, and by the way you get discounts when you sign up for other accounts, like savings, retirement, or homeowner/renters policies.

USAA has been a great auto insurance company to me. While the bill seems a little high, they’ve proven that their worth it.

Last year, I was in a small accident at an intersection. I was rear ended, which sandwiched me between that car and another. I called USAA right away, and they gave me step-by-step instructions on what to do. I was put up in a very nice rental car for a week while my car was being fixed. The only thing I ended up paying for the whole ordeal was the taxes & fees on said car. Everything else was covered by mine and the driver at faults insurance.

They have a great online interface that is simple to use. I’ve added and subracted vehicles from it, as well as adding my husband to my policy in less than ten minutes. The convenience is phenomenal. They also provide an APP which I use regularly. From there you can check on your claims and other things. Like I said, the only draw back is the price. I know we can find cheaper insurance elsewhere, and it probably doesn’t help that neither of us are over 25 yet.

I’ll be sticking with USAA until I find a reason to leave otherwise. It’s a great thing for a company to do what they say, they do what is expected and sometimes more. My husband and I feel protected with this insurance, which gives us piece of mind when driving all around town. Thanks USAA!

I was brought up with a father who was a veteran, who has used USAA for the past 30+ years, so by default I used them with my first car. Customer service is very well put together, and they will help you with anything you need.

I did have an issue with my account being locked while I was out of the country and the only way to get ahold of them was by phone. This was difficult since I did not have access to a phone to make the call to unlock my account, which made paying my account hard. But, once I got back state side they were very gracious to help me and take any charges off of my account that accrued while out of the country.

I have been with USAA for three years on my own account. As for registering for my own plan, they were very helpful and willing to answer any questions I had along the way. They were also not about trying to sell more to you than needed. Nothing was pushed on to me after an initial question of wanting collision coverage (did not need it due to having a car that was completely paid for).

As for the claims department, they were very helpful with processing my request after my only accident. They were not patronizing towards me after experiencing the accident and were very willing to help with getting me situated. Overall I am very pleased with every aspect of USAA.

USAA caters to active duty and retired military members and their families. They really are the cheapest auto insurance if you are eligible to be a member. USAA is cheaper than Geico, but not by much. The savings by using USAA over the years does add up eventually.

Unfortunately, their rates are one of the few good things about USAA auto insurance. USAA’s customer service is subpar, and you have a hard time finding a friendly customer service representative if you call. I have had more than my fair share of customer service reps who seemed bored and did not want to be on the call the few times I have actually had to call them. I mostly called to inquire about coming off my parents’ policy and onto my own, and the customer service person was not friendly or helpful at all.

The way they set up their policy in the state my parents lived in though required that I call to get any insurance policy or changes to a policy. Now that I have my own policy and no longer reside in the state I grew up in, I try to have all my dealings with USAA via their website. Their website is far friendlier than their customer service reps.

My car window was busted and broken into last summer. I once again got an unfriendly customer service person who hassled me about trying to file a claim (glass is completely covered under my policy) before transferring me to Safelight. Speaking with their glass vendor Safelight was like night and day from the typical service you receive from USAA. I spent 45 minutes directly reading the policy verbatim to USAA, and I only spent 20 minutes discussing my claim and setting up my appointment for my new window with Safelight.

Overall, if you do not file a claim and do everything over the internet, USAA is a good company.

USAA is the only insurance company I have ever had, and it is the only one that I will ever have. I am extremely happy with their service and their pricing. I really feel like it is a company that cares about me and my vehicle.

Several years ago I hit a deer on my way into work. The collision did a lot of damage to my truck. The insurance adjuster was out that same day, and he was able to look at the car while I was at work and it didn’t interrupt my already hectic day. He quickly and accurately appraised the damage and recommended a local body shop that did excellent work. While my truck was in the shop, my insurance company took care of a rental car for the entire week. When my truck was ready to pick up, they even gave me an extra two days for the car rental because the rental agency was over eighty miles away.

The best part about this entire experience? My premiums didn’t go up after I hit the deer. They also have excellent roadside assistance. My truck battery died on the side of a rural highway in Texas in the middle of the night. It was pretty scary, but USAA send out a tow truck and the driver was able to give me a jump and get me on my way.

Recently I traded in my truck for a smaller vehicle. USAA was more than happy to give me all of the insurance quotes which I asked for. They were very detailed and easy to understand. The agents patiently answered all of my questions and made sure I understood everything. I have received auto insurance quotes from other companies, but often these quotes are for more than what I am paying now. I find my premiums to be extremely reasonable and I am very pleased with the product that I am receiving for my money.

I’ve never had a problem when dealing with USAA. My entire family uses them for all of their auto insurance. The are prompt, polite, and caring. Whenever I call in for something, I am always greeted with a friendly voice on the other end of the line. I would have no trouble recommending this fine company to all of my friends who happen to be in the market for a new auto insurance company.

I’ve been with USAA since 1972. In all these years, they have been really decent to deal with. A real plus is is when speaking with a USAA rep they all speak an English you can clearly understand. They will raise your rate if you have an accident though so don’t believe they won’t. Since I haven’t had a traffic ticket in these 40 years (knock on wood) I can’t say what they will do in that case. Bottom line, USAA is very difficult to beat.

My husband and I have held USAA insurance for over 20 years. At one time they were only available to active duty military families. We have never been in the military. My husband’s father was in the army and even after we were married the USAA policy was available to us.

We have kept USAA for more than just the great rates we enjoy. Their rates are indeed low in comparison with many companies out there. I have not noticed many rate increases over the course of the policy. The adjusters are attentive and fair. Customer Service representatives are courteous and well-trained. Billing has never been an issue and treatment is relaxed and fair.

USAA has many unique qualities. Their relatively exclusive client base allows them to be a bit more personal with service. Over the years both my husband and myself have had good driving records and no major accidents. However there were times for both of us when there was a cluster of bad luck. We were the victim of two hit and run drivers while living in Las Vegas. These accidents were only a week apart. USAA did not question the validity of the damage. They provided the same service to us for both accidents. Our rate did not even go up.

Two years ago I received two minor traffic tickets in the same year. Again we did not have an increase in our rate. USAA tends to look at the whole driving picture and rewards long time customers. In a world where there is so much unfair treatment, I appreciate the personal and understanding service of USAA. They do not seem to operate from a flow chart when talking with them or reporting accidents. They gather information without bias or standard answers. All the phone representatives are easy to understand and friendly

I have had USAA for my insurance company for almost six years. I’ve been really happy with my insurance and have never had a reason or feeling that I should change companies.

Basically, the main reason I am really happy with USAA is that everything is done online with them and it’s very easy. I went on the website to start my insurance and can do almost all changes online this way as well. Even when I got into a fender bender in a parking lot I did the entire process online to report the accident. I didn’t have to be put on hold or deal with a complicated process in order to get everything taken care of.

I’ve had multiple vehicles on my insurance with USAA and it’s been way cheaper than the insurance I had in the past with GEICO. I don’t know if that’s because USAA is a company that focuses on military member, or if it’s actually cheaper or if I just got older and my rates went down all together anyway and would have been cheaper at any insurance company. More or less, the trouble of changing insurances companies to me isn’t worth it even if it was a few dollars cheaper.

One of my only real problems with USAA has been the fact that they don’t offer motorcycle insurance. While this isn’t the end of the world it was definitely sort of annoying that I had to go through USAA to contact Progressive in order to get motorcycle insurance since they didn’t offer it. So now, I have two insurance accounts on two different websites which I wish they could integrate my motorcycle insurance into the same way all of my other accounts are handled on USAA because I really like and am very familiar with the format of the USAA website.

Something else I like about USAA is the free roadside assistance that comes with my insurance. I’ve used it multiple times for small incidents like flats and running out of gas as well as lockouts. I can’t imagine how stressful these events would’ve been otherwise and the ability to just call USAA and have someone show up and help was definitely invaluable. Since it’s free, it’s something I’ve been really thankful for in the past few years. The service has always been really fast and easy and USAA follows up your call with a text, which works great for me.

USAA is one of the top performing auto insurance firms in the nation. I have had a policy with them for over 40 years.

Although I have never had a major accident with substanital damage to either the vehicle or an injury to myself, I have had a number of minor accidents over the years.

During the entire 4 decades I have never had a problem dealing with USAA. They are very easy to contact- either on line or by phone. Nothing like the long holds you get when you call your cable company or phone company. You can easily and quickly talk to a real live person. I have recommended this company to my two children and they have both been exceptionally pleased with them now that they are adults and have their own families.

The most recent incident involved a minor fender bender which occurred when my granddaughter was suing one of my cars and had a slight accident in the parking lot of a shopping mall. This happened on the weekend but we quickly were able to contact a live agent. We described the situation- he said since there were no injuries and only minor damage to both cars then to contact the main office on Monday and set up a time an d place to get the car repaired. This I did- got a repair date set for Wed and had a repaired car with fresh paint by Friday. As easy and effortless as one could get for such an activity.

A couple of decades ago I got a cracked windshield as a result of being hit by a stone in the roadway. I called USAA- they set me up with a local glass replacement company and made an appointment for me. I went there a day later – waited for less than an hour and left with a new windshield and USAA absobed the entire cost.

Just had a claim when I was driving a rented ORV type vehicle and I sideswiped a rock. Rental company wanted to be paid for having the whole frame replaced for just under $5,000, even through the vehicle was fully functional, and the vehicle cost only $14,000 new.

I didn’t even call USAA for 3 days because no way did I think this vehicle was covered. Talked to 3 attorney’s and the second one is the one who told me to check with my insurance company. I seriously doubt that most other insurance companies would let your coverage for your car, that extends to any car you are driving, include a Kawasaki Teryx. Just ask ’em!

When I called VISA to use their credit card insurance top-up for covering CDW etc, but oh no, they would not cover an unusual vehicle like that, even though it was registered street-legal, 4-person, etc. On top of that, the service from USAA was outstanding. The small rental company did some unusual things, wanted only to be paid by me (would not accept payment from an insurance company). USAA talked directly to the business owner, and to me and worked it out.

We were considering cancelling our comprehensive part of our insurance, because all our vehicles are now pretty old (more than 10 years, more than 100,000 miles). After this experience I will always keep comprehensive on at least one vehicle.

I only have had one other claim with USAA, in about 1999. A gravel from a truck in front of me dropped so much gravel that it broke the lenses in both headlights. USAA was fantastic for that small claim also.

I had gap insurance through a separate company. Only after USAA devalued my car $2500 below blue book without ANY cause, did I find out that my separate gap insurance only covered from blue book to amount owed. So I get to take a $2500 check to the bank although my car was low mileage in show room floor condition? Then they refused to speak with me since the claim was quickly closed. Thanks USAA!!!

I feel that USAA is a good company all around. I have had a bad experiance with them. It do not mean that they are a bad company.

I’ve been driving since i was sixteen. When your young all the insurance companies are out to get you and they come up with all types of reasons why young drivers should have to pay more than older drivers. I think this is a ploy to get more money out of kids especially if they don’t know any better.

My first company I was ever with was progressive. I had bought my first car off a lot and had to get full coverage for the vehicle i was driveing. All the insurance companies were somwhere between 300 and 400 a month. This was way more than what i had to pay towards the loan on my car. I went with progressive because there name was well known

. After a few years out of high school, I had joined the army. With the army alot of things get offer to you that would not have gotten offered other wise.(atleast not to me) I gotten offers for credit cards and clubs and magazines that I never new existed. I ended up running across a letter in the mail that came from USAA. I read how they had the cheapest rates around. I don’t know what made me switch companies except for the cheaper insurance rate that was offered.

I believe at the time USAA was doing a promotional advertisement to where the first six months they would pay half. Anyways I decided to switch to this company. The first year I did not use them long because I went on a deployment. They allowed me to stop the insurance while deployed and pick it back up when I came back. I had the insurance for about two years after returning.

I was getting out of the army and my car ended up getting damaged by the the shipping company that shipped my car. At this time I had a account with a banking account also with USAA. I went online to read my contract. The contract read that they will take full responsibility of any damage thats not my fault. I had liability coverage at that time. I called the company up and spoke to a representative about what had happened to my vehicle. They told me that they would send a estimator out to look at the damage and gave me the date. The estimator came and did what ever he had to do and left.

About two weeks later, I get a letter from USAA that says that they are not going to accept my claim. I called the representative that I spoke to the first time to see why and they said they believe i gave a false claim. I have never had put in a claim in my life time until this time. I have been driving for over a decade and this is the first I ever used my insurance.

I argued back and forth with the lady that was handling my case. I spoke to her boss. I spoke to someone who is suppose to be the head of the department. Then they gave me a number to the headquarters to speak to someone. The person at headquarters gave me a number to speak to someone. Basically they were giving me the run around.

I decided to sue the company that damaged my car. I took them to court. I was suppose to have a jury trial and the judge thought it was ok for him to deny me a jury trial. Right now I’m going through appeals court. Its been two years since the incident. I have not recieved any help or money. I believe that I had a bad experiance. I am not upset but i do want what ever money is owed to me because we are forced to get insurance. If I never had to pay for insurance I probably would be able to buy a new car.

USAA did have the cheapest rate at the time I switched over. I know why now. They not going to pay for any claims. lol

I have been a user of USAA for over 40 years and the service during that entire time has been outstanding. ONe time when my children were quite young someon took a child carseat from my car. I reported it to USAA and they immediately reimbursed me for the cost.

More recently my granddaughter was using my car and had a minor traffic accident in a shopping center parking lot. The occurred on a weekend but I called USAA and answered a few questions aboiut the seriousness of the accident and told to call the office on Monday. I did that and they set up a schedule to get the damage repaired at a local shop. This was done withtin a couple of days and I paid the required deductible and got the car back in great shape.

Any time I have had a quesiton about the insurance they were easy to reach by phone and much of their info is readily available on line. My children now have cars of their own and also are insuyred with USAA. Finally I have been getting an end of year refund for as long as I can remember which now comes to about 25-30% of my annual premium. You can’t do better to be insured by USAA

Had a person rear end me on 060712. Got 3 estimates, ranging from $3500 (dealer, OEM) to $2400 (USAA shop). Was then told–had not been prior, either by adjuster or by website–that I needed to go thru the USAA guy at the USAA approved shop. Estimate: $2080. Still waiting for money (062212).

Adjuster, after initial contact end on 060812, was out of office for nearly all of following week. Had initially said I wanted insurance (Acis) of other (at fault) driver to pay. Once I got hold of another adjuster and after misinformation and just plain omissions of info, I’d changed my mind & said I wanted the money now and that USAA could go after the other driver’s insurer (Avis) to recover its costs & to get my deductible. Was then told on week three I needed the USAA estimator–after waiting for an independent USAA contracted appraiser, who contacted me a week after I was told I would be contacted by USAA and was still not able to meet with me.

Bottom line: USAA requires used, recycled or after market parts on all vehicles 3-years or older. They, in addition, have strict (beyond-the-pale) requirements that the repair shop must follow, generall y to shave costs. With my vehicle, I was told by three estimators that the damage would most likely require welding a new rear end onto the car. Hardly $2 grand worth of damage & more likely $3-4 grand, as my dealer–and other accident appraisers–estimated from the start.

Throughout all this, I was never able to contact my ‘agent,’ and she never returned my VMs or emails.

For the lousy $20 or $30 bucks you’ll save on sem-iannual premiums, the poor service, claims and resultant “repairs” should you have an accident are not worth it. I would rate USAA subpar, far worse than Progressive, which up to now was the worst auto insurance company I’d dealt with. I do recommend State Farm (or Travelers or even Allstate), this first I’d been with for years and from whom I will again be purchasing my auto my insurance.

USAA: extremely poor, even misleading & certainly not forthcoming with restrictions, procedures, etc.

USAA is the best insurance company that I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. They always offer the very best customer service, no matter what the situation.

I have called about a past due balance before and I was treated with the utmost respect over the mishap. They were so willing to provide me with the details of what had occurred and to walk me through everything that I needed to justify the past due balance. I was rear-ended at one point and they were so quick to handle the claim. They spoke with my fiance about all of the details and were immediate in their sympathies to my injury.

They were very respectful yet thorough to make sure that they received all the information so that we wouldn’t have to be in contact with them more than once. There rates are significantly less than any other insurance company that I have ever been with and for more! Full coverage on my Buick was less than liability through Allstate! When we purchased our new car, the phone call lasted mere minutes!

They were so quick to take down the VIN and color of the new vehicle, double check an address change and then fax the current cards to the dealership so that we could drive off the lot! The USAA website is the best I have ever used. You can receive quotes, paying for insurance is a snap! They allow you to add or change drivers and offer a print out, at any time, for insurance documents, including insurance cards.

One of the most important aspects of being with USAA is the friendliness and the lack of “salesman” that work there. They would rather offer upgrades or different things to help you and your lifestyle than push something on you that you don’t want. Asking questions about the family and how my day was is more important to them than meeting a quota. The representatives at USAA make me feel like a real person and not just a number.

This is so important in an age such as this, where making money as fast and haphazardly as possible is the norm. It’s nice to be a part of a company that has genuine family values. The whole process of dealing with USAA in these fashions are so painless, I forget that I even have an insurance company! This makes life so much easier and I am so grateful for everything that USAA does.|

Customer service, easy claims reporting, insurance products and website functionality are the main reasons USAA is one of the best auto insurance company’s today. I look at customer service as being the greatest reason I am with USAA.

I need to use my roadside assistance at one time. The process was easy. I called the USAA phone number, pushed one button that directed me to an agent, gave the agent some information, and they coordinated with a towing company to come out to my location and help me with my problem. It was that easy. USAA followed up with a phone call to ensure that my claim was taken care of in a timely manner as well.

The USAA website is the primary way I update my information. A person can log into the website to update address phone numbers, make payments, transfer funds and a host of other functions. The website does have a couple ads that promote different kinds of products but they do not clutter the webpage in any way. Their website also allows user to transfer funds from either their checking or savings account.

They provide the option of making automatic payments to a monthly insurance bill or to make a lump sum payment for their insurance bill once the policy is renewed. The automatic payments make it easy to manage and maintain my account. I have used the website to make changes to my policy in as little as ten to fifteen minutes. It just takes a short minute to choose policy options from the drop down menu. Once you have selected all of the options that you need you just need to review your change in policy and submit it.

Your billing statement is automatically updated either higher or lower depending on whether you added or subtracted the amount of coverage you want. Overall USAA has been a very easy insurance, banking and investment company to work with. They provide competitive rates on car insurance, they treat customers with the utmost respect, their website is very easy to use, and if a customer needs to call in their representatives will walk you through step by step.

They will take as long as needed to get you what you need. The only drawback to USAA is the fact that they are mostly an online bank and insurance agent. They have very few physical locations around the country. But, they definitely make up for it with their easy to use website and their easy to contact service members.

I will never switch from USAA. I have been with them since I was 16 years old, I’m 29 years old now. Over the last 13 years, I have been treated fairly and like I matter during each and every interaction with the company.

I have been in several accidents during the time I’ve been with them and they have been easy to deal with. When it was not my fault, they were diligent about helping and the time that it was my fault, I was treated kindly. I even had an incident where there was a dispute. It was between us and someone who happened to also be a member.

At first glance, it appeared we had damaged another vehicle. I was sure that we hadn’t. Instead of just paying out because they would have either way because we were both their client, they thoroughly investigated the situation. It turned out that I was correct and had not in fact caused the damage to the other car. Another company might have not taken the time and my rates would have been raised through no fault of mine. They answer my questions and are always friendly too. They also have the best rates of anyone I’ve seen. I haven’t had any big increases, even after an accident.

They make things extremely convenient, offering phone and web assistance. You can use their website to change your policy or easily check new rates if you have a change or are thinking of buying a new car. You can also file auto claims online. You can even go on and order services that are completely covered, like a cracked windshield. I have used this site to have them send a contracted technician out. It is so easy and you don’t pay a penny out of pocket.

They ask for feedback after interactions and invite honest answers, good or bad so that services can be improved when possible or necessary. You also get discounts for using their company, like rental car discounts and perks. They also have programs where you can buy vacations, cars, jewelry etc and get a discount for being with the company. Best of all, you can have them for many different services.

They offer home, personal property, contents, renters and life insurance. They also have banking and financing for loans. This company offers so many different products that any consumer who is able to take advantage of them is better off. Last but not least, they refund some of what you pay every year when they have a year where they don’t pay out as much. It isn’t big check but it is refreshing to get money back from an insurance company. I highly recommend USAA to those who are eligible.

When I turned 16 my father put me on his insurance plan with USAA. USAA is only available to Veterans and their families, and it is a very fortunate thing to be able to utilize this wonderful company. Ever since I first started driving they have always provided me with comprehensive coverage and very low rates. However it is the customer service that really sets them apart.

When you call USAA, you not only get a real human being on the phone, but you get a thoroughly professional human being who is well trained and extremely pleasant to speak with. Transactions with USAA are always handled efficiently, and with a level of kindness that you just do not find with other companies. My sister is also a customer and she had to file a claim with them after being involved in an accident.

She hit a deer on the road and was not very upset, not just by the damage to her car but by the death of the poor animal she struck. USAA not only did a wonderful job in processing her claim, but they sympathized with her and helped her to feel better. In fact, a few days after the accident, her agent even took the time to call her personally just to see how she was doing.

They also kept her premiums from skyrocketing as a result. My coverage with USAA extends not only to my car but also to my home and life insurance. I would never think of using any other company, and regret the fact that my children will not be able to take advantage of their program. My personal car insurance plan includes 24 hour a day road side service.

One day when I was leaving work my car would not start. USAA had a tow truck over to the parking lot within 20 minutes. In an hour, I was home and my car was in the shop getting fixed for the next day. It was almost like a very terrible thing never happened at all. A few years ago I had a pretty serious accident where my car was almost totaled. USAA walked me through the claim process, and stuck up for me. They made sure that my rates would not be affected and were so kind and understanding.

When you are a USAA customer you simply do not worry about being on the road. With my job I travel quite a bit, and despite the fact that my car is pretty old, I never worry about a thing. I know they are always right around the corner to lend a helping hand.

USAA auto insurance is available to military, post military, dependents of military, etc. We have never been in the military but since my husband was covered by this policy when he was a dependent of his father who was in the army, we have been able to hold the insurance for over 25 years now. It didn’t matter that he was no longer a dependent.

I felt that this was a great policy and feel that being able to utilize this exceptional company is a privilege. Though we have only had a few claims in all these years, the once we have had were major. When both of our vehicles were badly damaged in a hail storm the adjuster was very quick to respond despite the large number of claims in the area.

There was no delay in figuring fair compensation for the damage and we were free to chose the repair company of our choice no matter where the estimate was done. Cost is perhaps the next benefit of this provider. Though we consider service to be our number one priority, having a fair and competitive rate is also very important to us. USAA’s rates are some of the lowest if not the lowest in the business. They also offer discounts for good driving records and age of the driver.

Even younger drivers can benefit through programs that offer lower rates for good students and good driving records. USAA seems to base their prices on fair predictors of risk instead of set in stone age categories. They may be a bit more strict on continuing coverage for very poor driving records and repeated tickets or accidents in a short time period, but overall they offer coverage to most drivers. Military families can also provide their dependent children the option of continuing coverage under USAA even after they are on their own, wether they join the military or not.

This reaches quite a broad population and opens up opportunities for other types of insurance products from USAA such as home owner’s insurance or even banking. USAA members receive significant discounts to many types of services such as hotels and rental cars. Often this discount is more than AAA discounts. There are also added options to USAA members for travel such as car upgrades or amenities on rental cars.

When traveling our USAA insurance will completely cover our rental car as well and makes it possible to decline the often inflated rental company insurance policies. In my mind there is no better car insurance option than USAA for my family. We get very low rates and top notch perks everywhere we are on the road. I would give this company five stars and my compliments on a job well done.

USAA has been the best company I could find. Not only is the company doing a great service by making things easier for service members, they go above the beyond when it comes to support, pricing, and convenience. I got quotes at almost every auto insurance company I could think of. Some of the prices were completely outrageous.

For example, Allstate advertises that it helps young people. Even though I have a perfect driving record they refused me insurance. Companies like Framers, 21st Century, Progressive, and Esurance quoted me double what USAA did. Even though USAA does not have witty commercials with promises to lower your rate, they are the only company I found that follows through with this promise. Every time I call USAA the customer service is amazing. The people are friendly and I don’t wait on hold. When asking if you want additional services from USAA they are not annoying and the particular product they are advertising is always something desirable. I had an issue with a price change on my policy and the representative apologized and promptly explained the price difference which to my surprise was even in my favor, they had lowered my rate!

Even though they do not have a local branch I have never had an issue contacting them or managing my account. The website is a little confusing but when I cannot find something a representative can tell you where it is without hesitation. They have mastered the set up for remote banking and insurance services. I even got a discount on my new car for using their auto insurance. While at the dealer they walked me through the entire process of setting up my policy and explained every portion of it.

Those other companies brag about their same day auto insurance, well USAA provided that for me. I purchased a car, the insurance, and drove off the lot on the same day. Finally, to put the icing on the cake I know I can feel comfortable that if I deploy USAA will have my back not only with my auto insurance, but with all of my other finances too.

Overall, I feel like choosing USAA was the best auto insurance choice I could have made. It gives me piece of mind and costs way less than the competition. Their customer service is a pleasure to work with and I trust that they will follow through if I ever have any major issues

I would highly recommend USAA as an insurer! I recently received a notice from the state of Maryland saying that I needed proof of insurance, which I supplied. I then got a notice saying my insurance had lapsed at some point.

I contacted USAA who worked for two days with the MVA and discovered that a change in license plates had caused the confusion and that my insurance had never lapsed. The USAA representative’s thoroughness and dedication saved me hundreds of dollars in fines!

I have had a policy with USAA for several years now, and I have never had a problem with them. When I need to make a change to my policy, I give them a call and within minutes, my new vehicle is insured and ready to go. I love that they can e-mail you your documents so that you can drive immediately, no waiting. When my family fell on hard times, I called them and they were more than willing to work with me on a payment arrangement that would satisfy everyone.

USAA has been my insurance for myself and most of my family. I personally have held a policy with them since the early 90’s. In the time that I have had USAA, I have had to file claims for various and sundry things.

A car that I owned was involved in a small accident in which my son was at fault. USAA paid the claim to the other person, calling to ask a few questions about the accident a few days after it happened, and made sure that my son was physically ok.

Years later, in a rare snowstorm in Dallas, I was rear-ended by a lady who then tried to leave the scene of the accident. I opened my door and she stopped. I went to her car and got her drivers’ license information. She then left the scene as I walked back to the car. I called USAA right then and there, and they were able to track her down and filed the claim against her and she had no auto insurance. USAA let me file under my uninsured/underinsured part of my policy. When my policy came up for renewal, USAA did not increase my rates.

Another good thing about USAA is that they really do care about their policy holders. When I needed a copy of my insurance for my car to get into a place where you had to show proof of insurance, USAA faxed them a copy and stayed on the phone with me to make sure that the fax was received. It is that kind of service that makes me stay with USAA.

GEICO called me several years ago to tell me that they could save me money with their insurance vs. USAA. I told them that they may save me money, but they could not give me the level of service that I had come to expect from USAA. The man tried to persuade me, but his quote was several hundred dollars more than USAA.

USAA continues to surprise me by providing a variety of services beyond simple auto insurance coverage and claims processing. Having sold cars and seen how easy it is for several customers to make a purchase after USAA has pre-negotiated their deals or sorted out quickly their transportation needs after an auto claim has been filed. After becoming their customer for auto insurance, I happily added renters and then home owners insurance as well as several investments with USAA. Every time I have seen the company make the process easier than I could have imagined and the service incredibly great

So far I have had nothing but positive experiences with USAA. Someone broke one of my car windows to steal the pajamas out of my back seat (I’m seriously questioning the thief’s judgment here), and I had to call them.

I didn’t have to wait very long at all on the phone before one of their representatives answered and talked to me. I hadn’t ever called before, so I wasn’t sure to whom I needed to speak. The person on the other end of the phone listened to my problem and made sure I was transferred to the correct line–the FIRST time! So many other places don’t know where to transfer you, and you end up going in circles.

But the USAA representatives made sure that my call went to the right person right away, and then they helped me schedule a time for the glass replacement service team to come fix up my car’s window. They partner with a company here that can fix almost all glass damage right in your home, so you don’t have to bring it in to a garage and deal with the hassle of getting the receipts and sending them into the company and trying to get them to reimburse you.

None of the run-around with USAA, at least I’ve never experienced it. The second time I needed to deal with USAA was when a rock/pebble flew off a truck that was driving in front of me and hit my car. It made a small crack in my front windshield. I called them up and once again, I was fielded to the correct person the first time.

They talked to me to find out the size and placement of the crack, and then once again they helped me set up a time for the same glass repair/replacement service team to come fix my windshield. The repairman sealed the crack and even replaced my windshield wipers, and I found out that there wasn’t any cost for the repair job. My whole family uses USAA and is loyal to it, and I understand why!

I can’t remember anyone else in my family having trouble with them or with their service, and let’s just say that my mother happens to get into a lot of fender-benders and has to deal with them quite a lot over the years. I recommend USAA to anyone who’s looking for comprehensive insurance.|

I am a USAA member and have been ever since my husband and I got married.I’m pretty sure USAA is only for members of the military and their dependents. So, it’s not available to just anyone. The prices with USAA will surprise you, at first I couldn’t believe how low the prices where. At the time I had had 3 speeding tickets and had hit a deer, but was somehow still able to get a rate at under $100 a month with full coverage. I never thought I’d be able to afford full coverage with my driving record. I usually always had only liability.

There customer service is also very good. Whenever my husband and I’s car breaks down all we have to do is call USAA and they will ask a few questions and call the nearest tow company (or you pick the one you prefer) and get your car towed to your home or mechanic of your choice (within a certain distance) for free! I’m not sure if there are a number of times you can use this service per year before they start charging you.

I know my husband used it at least 3 times last year and he was never charged. One day when my husband was downtown he went to a few classes and came back to his car to find that it had been broken into and his stereo equipment was stolen, USAA had his window, door and stereo replaced with the exact stereo equipment and everything.

My husband just had to pay the deductible. USAA also offer more than just car insurance. The offer home loans, bank account (checking and saving) they offer renter insurance, life insurance. Basically any kind of insurance you can think of. It’s pretty much your one stop shop for things like that. I think the only downside about USAA is that they don’t have a physical claim office (at least where I live) for you to go into and speak to someone face to face to a representative or agent.

All of my husband and I’s communication with them has been either on the phone or internet, but that has never really been an issue for us. I think that everyone who has USAA available to them should go with them as your insurance provider. I am highly certain that you will not be disappointed in the price or the customer service!

I started off with a local insurance company in Illinois. They provided quality service at a good rate, but as soon as I had one accident they dropped me even though I was not at fault. After that, I tried out the major companies – Progressive, GEICO, and Allstate. They all were descent but there wasn’t much difference between them. The prices were relatively the same. The customer service was so similar that it felt as if they were using the same call center. I had become settled in paying a high monthly fee for something that I never wanted to use.

I have been an Active Duty Soldier since 2000 and in 2006 I opened up a bank account with USAA. At the time, I did not consider getting a car insurance quote because I figured that all major insurance companies were pretty much carbon copies of each other. When I got a new car in February of 2011, I immediately went with Allstate since they were the last company I had been with. I figured I would check with USAA, not really expecting to hear anything different from the $120 per month that I was paying.

At first I thought they didn’t hear me correctly. I said, “I’m sorry but I was looking for an estimate for a 2011 Buick Lacrosse.” The customer service representative chuckled slightly as if she wasn’t a stranger to a shocked response and repeated the estimate of $42/month. I asked what was left out or reduced from my current insurance – assuming that maybe I was only being quoted for liability or a greatly increased deductible. On the contrary, I was actually getting an improved policy that the one I had with Allstate.

This was one of life’s most simple decisions. I thanked her and asked her to begin my policy immediately. I don’t want to knock the other major companies. I never had a bad experience with their customer service or with a claim. They were ok. It wasn’t until I switched my auto insurance to USAA that I realized what exceptional customer service really was all about. I was recently transferred to a base in the New England. In the midst of moving and trying to make sure I took care of wrapping up my life and all the paperwork associated with it, changing my auto insurance was actually a relieving step.

They explained the policies of my new state and what changes were necessary in my auto insurance policy. It couldn’t have been simpler and I truly appreciated knowing why my policy would change and hearing about the state regulations behind the changes. I highly recommend USAA for all of their services to anyone who can take advantage of the phenomenal benefit to work with a company that truly cares about its customers.

I had USAA for over 20 years. In 2008 I had 3 accidents. All three were as a result of my having suffered from 3 TIA’s while I was driving. The cause of the TIA’s were as a result of untreated diabities. Since I have been on insulin I have had no TIA’s. USAA cancelled me and now will not renew my policy. As an active military person, I have access to USAA and I cannot Say how pleased I am with their services. For the past your I have been doing business with this company and been completely satisfied. It seems that they are more concered with retaining customers than making a profit off of them. When I was late on a payment they worked with me and reduced the bill be 30%!

They truly understand the concept of customer service. They’er rates are also absolutly amazing. For a six month premium I payed $170 for a 93 accord. I was blown away when i saw their insurance qoute. And when I filed my first claim it was an easy process and I was not hasseled at all. They will hold my patronism as long as I drive. USAA gets stars from me and I am not an easy person to please.

I had USAA for 11 years and could not understand why my rates kept creeping higher and higher each year. When i finally called and asked they said they had a new way of calculating thier premiums and there was nothing they could do about the new rate increases. After shopping around, I found GEICO beat the rate by almost $300.00 every six months and I also got an extra benefit not offered by USAA. My vehicle is less than 15 Months old and fewer than 15K miles, so i was able to get Mechanical Breakdown Coverage for only $69.00 every six months, this was included in the price beating comparison, and much better than an extended warranty price tag. Sorry USAA will have a hard time getting my business back, I do however like the banking services.

I would have agreed with all of the reviews given here until now. I have been with USAA for 20 years. During that 20 years, I never had an accident claim, I never got a ticket, not a penny came from their pocket. I used to rave about the company and swore I would never leave them for any other company around.

I recently have had major health problems. During this time, I received a cancelation notice, but because of being in and out of the hospital – I didn’t get it in time. I called them as soon as I saw it, which was about 8 days later, to make a payment. They told me “No”. If I want to have my account reactivated it would require payment in full. Due to my health problems, I didn’t have the full amount – maybe half at best. They refused the payment, even after I explained my situation. I pleaded with them, because I didn’t want to change companies after 20 years. They didn’t care.

I have never been so disappointed in a company as I am now. Obviously, someone else has taken over the company, and just like all the others – we are just a number to them. Twenty years of customer loyalty, 20 years of not a single claim and this is how they treat you. I went online and in 15 minutes, I had insurance, cheaper and willing to take a small downpayment. Even so, I hate it ever happened and think people should know.

My overall experience with USAA as an auto insurance company has been very positive which is why I tend to go back to them time and time again. Their website is easy to use and their agents are friendly and helpful. Many times I had to send emails through the website to ask a question and I always got a quick response, usually between one to two business days. They have a fairly easy website to use and offer multiple policy discounts. This helped save me a bundle when I purchased my new home.

Unfortunately, a year ago, the cost of my homeowners insurance went up so drastically that it was not wise economically to stay with USAA. I had to search elsewhere for an insurance company that would give me a better deal for both of my policies. I use USAA for their banking services so every six months, I return to the auto insurance quote section to see what they can offer me! So far it has not been good enough to switch back but I do believe that they offer exceptional customer service.

USAA is icrdibily difficult to work with and you can not trust their adjusters. I had their adjuster come out to looks at my roof. Their adjust er said I had NO hail damage. I called a roofing company to look at it and they said I had lots of both old and new hail damage. The roofing company person offerred to be there when the adjuster came back out. The Usaa adjuster then showed up 3 hours early to try to avoid dealing with the roofing company person. I had the cell # of the roofing guy so fortunately he came over while the USAA adjust er was there. The roofing person said he would get up on the roof and start marking with white chalk the hail damage. Only then did USAA admit their was hail damage to the roof.
The I paid for hail resistant shingles (upgrade at my own cost). USAA is the only company that will not give a premium discount for the impact resistant shingles. State Farm, Allstate, Farmer’s do give a discount for the hail resistant shingles.
Worse yet they entered 2 claims on my CLUE report for one loss b/c they were called out 2x to look at thedamage from 1 hail storm.

I had USAA when I was rear ended by a ( .292 blood alcohol level ) 21 year old drunk driver traveling at 80 to 90 mph. I spent a month in the hospital. USAA paid the 400K claim. It took time due to the
amount but they did not hassle me about the settlement as I had a 250K plus medical bill.

    I highly recommed USAA…

I have had good experices with USAA auto coverage, but beware of their home owners coverage.

In March 2009 my roof was damaged by hail. The hailstorm was documented by the National Weather Service and USAA does not dispute the damage was caused by the hail. USAA sent an adjuster who says the roof is a total loss and must be replaced.

I have a 2% deductible on hail damage and the last appraisal on my home (this year, 2009) put the value at $158,000. That should make my deductible about $3,160, but USAA says my deductible is over $6,000. They say their figure is based on something they call Comprehensive Replacement Cost and that if my home were a total loss it would cost $306,000 to remove all debris including the foundation and completely rebuild it from the ground up.

Coincidentally their adjuster estimates it will cost right at $6,000 to replace the roof so that lets USAA off the hook and they are saying they will not pay one penny to help replace my roof.

Why they base my deductible for hail damage to the roof on the cost to completely remove my house, including the foundation, and completely rebuild it from the ground up does not make any sense to me. The only way it makes sense is if it is USAA’s way of avoiding paying any claims for roof damage and just accepting not taking care of their customers.

Beware, they’re doing it to me and I’ll bet they’re doing it to all their customers. If you have USAA insurance you need to check with them and seriously think about what happens if you need to fail a claim. If they can base your deductible on any figure they come up with rather than the actual value of your home, what’s to stop them from adjusting that figure as necessary to avoid paying any claim?

I’ve talked to several other insurance companies and am in the process of getting quotes to change insurance, but they ALL say they would not base the deductible on some imaginary future total replacement cost, but on the actual current value of the home.

I understand I have a deductible and any insurance company is not going to want to bear all the cost of repairing damage to my home, and in the past when a few shingles have blown off I’ve just gotten up there and replaced them myself, but for the cost of replacing my entire roof to be just under what they’ve inflated my deductible to be seems calculated and premeditated.

I am continuaously looking for a better priced company but have yet to find one. I have used them for an accident that was not my fault, got three price quotes, and was sent a check for the average quote within days. They are exceptionally friendly and very knowledgeable in their field. I have asked how I may reduce my rates and they come up with alternatives, some I used and some I didn’t. I have used their roadside assistance for a flat tire with quick service. They also give me a rebate check once a year. I choose to paperless billing and automatic monthly payments. Because my payments are paid automatically, I do not have to pay extra fees for monthly payments. I get discounts for having homeowners insurance with them, and multi vehicles, and low travel miles to work.

Being in the Air Force, the first thing you are told about after you get done with Basic Training is about USAA, mostly for banking, but also for their other services, which includes Auto Insurance. The reason for this is because of how good they treat their customers. I can personally attest to this, since every time I call they have been great to work with and very friendly, they truly sound like they enjoy what they do and are there to help you. I called because I had a rock go through my sunroof which needed to be replaced and even though it was not under my coverage they had a list of suggestions I had not even thought about, in turn the sunroof was fixed for under $100. Going above and beyond!

USAA is a great auto insurance company. In my opinion, their rates are very reasonable, but their plans still provide great coverage. The only complaint I would have is their towing coverage. When the timing belt on my car went out about 40 miles from home, they would only pay towing to the shop nearest where my car broke down, which was 38 miles from home. I had to pay the difference, which equaled 38 miles of towing and nearly two hundred dollars. Other than that experience, I am very pleased with USAA. Their customer service is fantastic. Their website is very simple to navigate, which makes it so much easier to add cars to my policy or take them off if I sell them. I can print off my proof of insurance right from the website, so I don’t have to wait on it to come in the mail or take the time to go to an insurance office. In my opinion, USAA is a fantastic insurance provider.

One time I accidentally drove my Volvo into a flooded street. I somehow managed to get through the puddle, although my car was severely water damaged and had two inches of water in the passenger compartment. The electronics were damaged and the car would barely run. I had it towed to a local repair shop and called USAA.

They were supposed to send an adjuster in within 48 hours, but it ended up taking them two weeks just to get someone out there. We were surprised, because we’ve always been happy with their service. They said they didn’t have enough claims adjusters and had to use subcontractors, in the meantime my case fell through the cracks. Once the adjuster looked at the car, it was only a week until the claim was resolved to my satisfaction. We still feel they are an excellent company and have some of the best rates available.

    Update:

We decided we don’t want our 19 year-old son (who doesn’t live with us) on our policy and USAA automatically added him without their being asked to. They said it’s their policy to add eligible drivers to existing policies. My husband is still fighting with them and they haven’t made their decision as to whether or not he will be added against our will.
My husband advised the representative that we will switch to Liberty if they persist in this idiotic course of action.

We are becoming more and more disenchanted with USAA.

My wife and I have been with USAA for several years and are quite satisfied with our policy. First, their rates are very competitive even though we have had a few claims with them over the years. The claims we have submitted have always been handled quickly and professionally with none of the hassles I have experienced with other insurance companies.

For example, they do an excellent job working directly with the body shops, rental car companies, etc. to which keeps the claims process stress-free for us. The USAA website allows you to do a number of things such as bill pay, policy changes, access insurance cards, etc., but navigation can be a bit complex. Just a few weeks ago, I tried to change a credit card we used for billing and gave up in frustration. In the end, I have no major complaints with USAA; you cannot go wrong with them if you are qualified to join.

We have had USAA as our auto insurance company for several years and are very happy with them. They have great rates (we have compared with other companies) and are very responsive whenever we have called them with a problem.

In addition, we get a good driver discount (in the form of a cash rebate) if we go for a certain period of time without a claim, which I think is just great. Whenever we have had to file a claim it has been handled very quickly, thoroughly, and to our satisfaction, we believe they have been very fair in their dealings with us. We currently have three vehicles insured through them, and the price is very low when compared with the competition. We have no complaints to report, USAA has worked great for us.

I have had car insurance with USAA for 20+ years and am generally very pleased. The paperwork always flows smoothly and the claims I’ve filed were always handled expeditiously and fairly.

I will, however, differ with the other reviewer in one respect: other firms will, under certain circumstances, offer lower rates than USAA. It happened to me when I had the misfortune of three minor accidents in a two-year period. USAA raised my rate through the roof so I shopped around and got a significantly better rate from GEICO. I shared the GEICO quote with USAA and asked them to match it. They would not, so I switched to GEICO.

After a couple of years when the accidents started dropping off my record, I checked with USAA and they once again had a better deal. I switched back and am still there.

My guess is that if you have a clean driving record, USAA is very hard to beat. If you have accidents on your record, shop around.

USAA is the best insurance company on the planet. They have great rates, do not raise your rate after a claim, and even give yearly rebates to all members. Once I was approached by an agent from another company wanting to give me a quote. When I told him he could not beat my existing company he said that I should just give him a try. When I told him I was insured with USAA, he didn’t bother going any further and told me I was right, they couldn’t compete with their rates!

The customer service is beyond reproach, with every telephone contact a pleasant experience. I have had “at-fault” accidents, and they were more than fair. When we were the victim of another driver, they were very helpful advocates. Membership is limited to service members and their dependents, but it is surprising how many eligible people do not know they can get in with USAA. They can also provide homeowners’ and renters’ insurance.

They also have a fantastic bank with great rates and superior customer service as well. Heck, instead of charging you for ATM’s, etc., they give you ATM rebates on fees other banks may charge! Everyone should check out USAA.
