I obtained insurance from State Farm when I was 16 years old and just getting my license. At the time I just grabbed up any place to get insurance because I needed it in a hurry and there was a State Farm office right near my house. What I didn’t know at the time was how long I was going to be their customer (17 years!) and what excellent service I was going to receive from them.

During my time with State Farm I did have to file several claims. Most of which were not my fault, so typically the other persons insurance took care of it. I did have 2 claims that I can remember that were my fault. One incident was when a deer had jumped out in front of my van and the second was when I had backed into someone else’s car with my Jeep. Both processes were very simple. I dealt directly with the claims department and everything went smoothly, including the process of getting a rental car.

I never had the opportunity to shop around for prices to compare to other companies because I just felt very comfortable with my agent and it seemed that every few years that went by my premiums were going down. At one point I had full coverage on a fairly new van and it was only around 60.00 a month! Of course a good driving record had something to do with it, but I also know that their rates are pretty good.

My customer service interaction with my agent was great. I felt that outside of having a professional relationship we developed a great friend ship. There were times in the last 17 years that I wasn’t insured with State Farm due to moving out of state once for a brief time and for times that I didn’t have a car. But I always went and always will fall back to the same insurance company. There was even a time when I wasn’t insured that I had a renters insurance question and I called up my agent and she took the time out of her day to go over my options with me and took the time to email me information pertaining to my problem. I recommend State Farm to everyone that I know! I feel that I have enough years experience and examples to justify my opinions and will always use them. State Farm gets a 5 star rating all around from me!|

My entire experience with State Farm has been rather positive. I switched to them several months ago after having a policy with another company for around four years. My new agent seemed genuinely concerned with making sure I got the coverage I needed. So when I asked for liability only he pushed a hard sale of trying to convince me to do otherwise.

I am a very safe driver. There are no violations of any sort on my record, and the only accident I have been in was one in which I was sideswiped while waiting at a red light. Why would I need more coverage than liability?

Knowing that my wife and I had just moved back to Georgia after living out of state for quite some time, my agent made some very convincing arguments. He made several arguments including hit and run drivers, uninsured motorists, vandalism, etc. His most convincing argument was based on the fact that my new residence did not have a garage. Weather damage, such as hail damage, was quite common here, and without additional coverage I would have to pay for that on my own. I responded by saying that I was not very concerned about cosmetic damage so long as I could drive my car. “Well what if a tree fell on your car? That would probably do more than cosmetic damage.” I had a hard time arguing with that one.

Eventually I caved and agreed to additional coverage. Several weeks later I was relaxing on a Saturday morning when I heard a very loud crack, followed by a thunderous crash outside of my house. Being the responsible person that I am I decided that I would ignore the potential nuclear detonation outside of my home and keep enjoying my morning coffee. Several minute later my neighbor knocked on my door and informed me that I needed to go check on my car. As soon as I open my door I see a pine tree lying across my lawn.

I look towards my car and see my windshield is smashed in, and there was some significant denting on my hood. It was time to call my agent. Shortly after I got him on the phone he confirmed that I did have coverage, and gave me a list of local shops. I selected one and he arranged for them to pick up the car for repair. I got the car back about a week later and not only did State Farm take care of all my repair costs, but they sent me a check for the estimated decrease in value of my car.

So far I feel like I have made a great choice in car insurance.

Being a young male driver, finding a car insurance company that offers competitive rates and great service is not easy to find. However, State Farm’s car insurance policy was very affordable for me and I couldn’t believe the deal I was getting.

I first want to discuss in more detail of all the competitive rates they have to offer. First and most importantly, your previous driving record is key to getting the best policy. However, many young drivers don’t realize all the other discounts they offer for doing the little things correctly. All of these little things can really add up in the end and could be the very thing that could help make your car insurance extremely affordable. I have been lucky enough to receive many discounts through State Farm and the one’s that have been the most beneficial financially to me is the good student discount and the discount for successfully completing drivers education.

These discounts are just a few of the many great discounts State Farm has to offer if you choose their auto insurance policy. Also, State Farm’s service simply cannot be matched by any of its top competitors. State Farm is there for you when any type of auto accident occurs. For example, when I accidentally ran into a power line pole, State Farm was able to settle my claim stress free and was able to have me back on the road in less than a week with my car fully and properly fixed. State Farm really does care about their customers and that is a big reason why they have been a successful auto insurance company for decades.

Whenever my friends or family are in question about their auto insurance company, I quickly recommend State Farm, as I truly believe that they are the best car insurance company around. Now that I have covered all the positives, I will talk about the only negative I have ever experienced while being with State Farm.

The only down side to State Farm is that coverage is not available in all areas, however there are other ways of obtaining car insurance through State Farm even if they don’t have an agent close to your place of residence. In conclusion, if you are car owner who is questioning the affordability and service of your current auto insurance company, I would strongly recommend looking into the best auto insurance company I have ever had the pleasure of working with, State Farm.|

I love my State Farm insurance agent. I have had State Farm since I first got my license and in the decades I have maintained my insurance I have not been disappointed. I currently carry multiple cars under my account, and if I ever have a question or concern on any vehicle both live and over-the-phone agents handle all information succinctly and kindly.

I have had to submit a single claim to State Farm during my history with the company. This claim dealt with an uninsured minor driver hitting me at a cross intersection during a storm by taking a left turn on a red light. My car was damaged slightly (I took defensive driving courses for a reduction in my rates) and the other car was totalled.

Upon submission of the claim I heard back from a representative within hours providing all pertinent information, and had a loaner provided within another two hours delivered to my home. The repairs were quickly executed due to no hold up from the insurance company and I was on my way. While this may sound normal for any company, it was the followup care that really stood out. I was contacted by several members of the State Farm team including my local agent and members of their phone support staff.

They assisted me through the entire process, making sure everything was handled, and even assisting in pointing me in the right direction for filing to have my deductible paid by the other driver’s insurance. The State Farm ‘family’ dynamic was incredible; however, when I speak to any other company for quotes I find this is the exception and not the rule in auto insurance policies.

Due to their extensive support staff I would expect a much higher premium, but I am able to carry insurance with State Farm at a rate just a dollar and fifty cents a quarter above the best discount insurance rates I have been quoted. This discount is actually a loss for me as my current policy covers several ‘add ons’ which would increase my rates by quite a bit over my current price, and provide worse service.

Overall, as stated above, I find State Farm to be an excellent company. My local agent is an exemplar of insurance, and if he is any indication of the level of service provided nationwide I would not recommend anyone else for auto, life, or home insurance.

I’ve been driving now for over 30 years, and State Farm has been my insurance company from the very first day I sat behind the wheel. My parents had used State Farm through their driving careers, so it was just automatic that I would continue with them. Through all those years I’ve only had minimum interaction with my various agents, mostly for change of address or when I purchased a new vehicle. I’ve carried most standard coverages – comprehensive, collision, uninsured and under-insured motor vehicle – but when I purchased my Dodge Caliber in 2007 my agent convinced me to add roadside auto assistance to my package of policies. I’m glad I did. A few weeks ago my wife was out shopping while I was at work. She called me to let me know she had gotten a flat tire. She has some health issues that prevented her from changing it herself, and she was alone with no one with her to assist. I told her to call our agent to get the roadside assistance service, which she did. It was a late Saturday afternoon, but even so she got through and was told that the policy would act to reimburse us for any service she needed to get the tire changed. She called me back to let me know this, and I got busy. A quick Internet search found an emergency number, and I was able to get a tow truck dispatched to get the tire changed and get her back on the road within an hour. We paid with a credit card, and she got a receipt from the service technician. The next day I went on the State Farm website to file the claim. The online form was pretty easy to follow and complete. I scanned the receipt and attached it to the form and sent it off. I got an email acknowledgement from the State Farm customer service center in minutes, and a phone call shortly thereafter to tell me the claim was in process and to give me the claim number as well as contact information in case I had questions. The very next day I got an email telling me the claim was processed and approved and that payment was forthcoming. The check was in my mailbox two days later. Now this may not sound like a big deal – the total claim was for $64.95. But what impressed me was how quickly and professionally it was all handled, no muss or fuss, just straightforward service. It indicates to me that State Farm is a quality company – even though my claim was small and not very important, they took care of me. It fills me with confidence and makes me think nice thoughts about them. I have to give them five stars on all aspects of this interaction, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Those that are trustworthy in small things are likely to be the same when you need them for something large.

At the beginning of this year, I made the switch from my previous insurance agency to State Farm and could not be more pleased with my decision. I am receiving MORE coverage for $150 LESS per month – it’s saving our family a lot of money.

My insurance agent is friendly and even calls just to see how I am doing and make sure that I am receiving the best customer service possible. The employees actually care about our family; the company I was with previously never called or offered to talk to me about any additional services or discounts that I could be eligible for.

Now, I have great auto insurance, life insurance, and a retirement plan! I live in Alaska, and anyone who has been here knows that summertime means cracked windshields. When my windshield was broken last month, they quickly helped me find the best company to replace it. Now that my low deductible has been met, any additional damages to my vehicle will be completely covered.

Before, I never gave two thoughts to my auto insurance company – I was just annoyed at rates that kept going higher and higher without any justification. When State Farm was recommended to me, I went in for an initial interview and was pleasantly surprised by the knowledgable and friendly staff, and amazed at the amount of money I was saving. As a mother, that’s extremely important to me! Now the extra money can be used for more important things, like saving up for a trip, family days at the museum, or just set aside for emergencies!

I used to loathe having to make trips to my auto insurance agency’s office. I would literally pace, waiting to bolt out of there as soon as possible. Now that I’m at State Farm, the entire staff knows my name, and loves doting on my 1-year-old son. The staff even gave us a “Good Neigh-Bear” stuffed bear that he carries around everywhere. It makes me feel like I’m an individual, not “just another customer”.

I feel confident knowing that if I ever get into an accident (which is almost inevitable in Alaska) that my vehicle will be fixed or replaced quickly, and any medical bills we receive will be taken care of. For someone on a budget like me, that is a lot less on my mind to worry about. I believe I have found the insurance company that I will be sticking with for life. Thank you State Farm!

My husband and I have two cars insured with State farm and we have Renters insurance as well. Our experience with our local State Farm has been great! We received many discounts on our car policies and when we signed up for their renters insurance, it was FREE after all the discounts that came off of all of our policies with them!

We never had such a great deal with any other car insurance company. We have been with State Farm for three years now and do not plan on changing. They respond quickly when we have questions and they have different types of payment plans available which is great because we are paid bi-weekly. Our car insurance even includes roadside coverage. I use to have AAA for that, and the only thing I don’t like about the coverage with State Farm is that their policy reimburses after the incident. AAA’s Roadside coverage was automatic and upfront. Luckily, I have jumper cables and haven’t needed to use the road coverage yet. Their staff is always friendly, easy to deal with, and always call us back the same day we call them.

Over all, we are very satisfied with State Farm and I recommend them all the time to family and friends. Initially, it was a friend that told us to sign up with State Farm and they sent her a Gas gift card! So they pay you when family or friends sign up with them. About a year ago, my husband had his driver door crushed in at our local Walmart. We turned it in to the insurance company right away. We took his car to our local body shop and gave them our insurance information.

They did the work right away and State Farm paid them quickly. The Body Shop said State Farm pays good and quickly and that is why they got the job done so quickly. We were bumped up ahead of other people who already had work contracts! We never even had to pay a deductible. And it was a good thing we had full coverage. Our policy never did go up in price after the fact and like i said, we are even now receiving Renters insurance for FREE which means after adding it to our policy, our premiums never went up.

Actually, our total premium for everything even went down about $20 less than before we added the Renters insurance. All insurance companies that we had in the past, we have ditched after the first year because they would drive up our insurance even if we never had claims. So far everything is great with State Farm and hope it continues! Occasionally, we have had State Farm make errors with our payments or our payment schedules, but they always fix it at their expense.

They always admit when they make an error, apologize and correct the situation quickly. One time they bounced our checking account by accident and they reimbursed us for the fee that our bank charges. So we were very happy about that. And there has been a few times that we haven’t paid on time, but instead of canceling our insurance, they work with us and let us play catch up! We have never had a car insurance company do this before.

We had other insurance companies cut off our insurance the same time our payment is in the mail on the way to them. But State Farm doesn’t do business that way. If I had to rate State Farm, I would give them Five Stars on Service, Claims, and Price! I would give them Four Stars for their Road Coverage.

I pay for free towing for a few different reasons, being I am a single female living in the southeast Houston area. Now, when I think of free towing, I am under the impression that if for any reason I should have to have my vehicle towed it will be taken care of by State Farm…..because I pay for it with my policy. WRONG I had to have my car towed due to a blown head gasket and manifold intake gasket. I called
State Farm and they sent a tow truck, and told me they would reimburse me. INCONVENIENT. But whatever. I called my agent to find out the proper protocol to get reimbursed for the wrecker. I was told they would only pay for up to $80 on towing….WHAT!…why would they send a wrecker that they weren’t going to pay for? I pay for free towing. I did the right thing and called them and they dispatched a wrecker. I paid said wrecker $160 cash and now they don’t want to reimburse me for the service I pay for. LIARS. I will be changing insurance companies as soon as I can. ’nuff said.

I really like State Farm for the most part. I am a college student with no previous accidents and they provided great discounts. These discounts are over $500 in savings, which goes a long way in my pocketbook.

I can put that money towards books, housing, and travel. My mom warned me that with a sports car and being under 25 my rates would be high, but I find State Farm Really Affordable. Accordingly, as a college student, I am fully covered, but declined some extras like roadside assistance, because I was being extremely cheap. This was really bad for me when my car broke down out of town; I called State Farm to see if there was anything they could do or help me with, they said no and hung up. They could have at least transferred me to a towing company.

Now I actually have roadside assistance, it was really cheap and I learned my lesson. Now one of my good friends is a rep. for State Farm and she is WONDERFUL! Even though I know her personally, I feel she treats other customers just as well as she treats me. When I first got my insurance after doing several online quotes, I felt I might be signing my life away. Being naïve I always never seen the point of insurance and this is the first time that I would be paying for it out of pocket. After doing my research, I choose State Farm.

I paid my fees at night and the next morning I got a call from my local agent. She informed me that I could receive more discounts, if I came in. She was very helpful and concerned. She understood that I was a college student and needed more bang for my buck. After 6 months of having State Farm, I decided to make changes to my State Farm profile. There is a bus on my campus that takes me to class, so I rarely drive every day. I changed my mileage and got a call from my state farm rep the next day. I didn’t know they actually paid any attention to me and I thought I was just a number to them, but I am not.

Overall, I feel comfortable and confident with my decision with State Farm. The next type of insurance I will get is renters insurance, when I move off campus. I plan to continue to have them insure me for a while, as long as their great customer service continues.

I would highly recommend State Farm auto insurance. They have always had good, honest adjusters and salesmen that have treated me very well.

In the past I have had a few different claims to file with them, and I have always had no problem working with them, and have never felt that I was being cheated or short changed. In the past, I have also been involved with many different insurance companies in the past for auto, and have had nothing but terrible luck with them. Instead of the easy claims and working with good adjusters, it was always a hassle and seemed to be taking up their time.

A few years ago I was with Geico, and hit a deer one night, and thought the claim process would be a breeze, little did I know that after a few months of hassling with them, I would just be forced to give up and pay everything out of pocket, even though I had a very low deductible and it was a 2000 dollar bill to get it fixed. Needless to say, a few days later I changed my auto insurance to State Farm. With State Farm, they also have some of the lowest premiums around. I was so used to paying huge premiums with Geico, even when I had a high deductible. Once I switched to State Farm, that all changed. They had very reasonable rates and all that without a terribly high deductible.

They also gave me premium breaks for getting good grades when I was in school, and each year I went without getting in an accident, I saw my premium go down. When I was with Geico, after my deer hit, they jumped my premium saying I was a higher risk now, even if they didnt pay out anything for that claim. I never once saw my rates drop when I went another year without an accident. I would highly recommend State Farm to anyone looking for a new auto insurance ocmpnay, or even to anyone that currently has a policy.

I really think that if you give them a chance, they will save you a ton of money, and will be very friendly and helpful, and usually at a lower rate, at least in my experience. I would never ever go back to any other company for auto insurance, and needless to say will be staying with State Farm for a very very long time.

I have had my auto insured with State Farm for over twenty years. I also worked for a time as a secretary in a State Farm agency, so I may be a little biased.

But I feel that State Farm is one of the best companies, if not the cheapest. What I like best about State Farm is that the agents and their staff get to know you pretty well over time, and this can be the difference in getting your claims resolved quickly and painlessly – or not. During the short time I worked at State Farm, we got a lot of new customers who were dissatisfied with the claims service they had received at other insurance companies, particularly the lowest cost agencies, or those without a large network of agents in the region. In my case, the personal relationships at State Farm really mattered. I have had three cars totaled over the past twenty years. One was a hit-and-run, one was my fault, and the last time, my car was stolen and stripped for parts.

If I had been a new customer at another agency, or at an agency that does not personally know the clients, they could have chosen to doubt my stories or even cancel me for the third claim. They would have fewer incentives to try to solve my claims quickly, and to retain me as a customer. But because my agent has known me for a long time, and I have paid State Farm premiums for twenty years, they have an incentive to keep me as a customer. Their customer service when I had claims made me a loyal customer.

This is also why I have chosen to stay with State Farm, even if their rates are not the cheapest. I prefer dealing with people I know, and who have known me for years. Another advantage that I like with State Farm is their system of multiple discounts. I also have my house insured with them which gives me discounts on both my home and my auto insurance. If I were to try to transfer my auto insurance to another lower cost carrier, I would lose the discounts, so I really wouldn’t save much money.

The main point is this: there are lots of cheaper insurance companies, and companies that rely on computer programs and not people. There are also companies that don’t treat their agents very well, so there is a revolving door. It’s the people at State Farm that make the difference, and it is a difference that’s worth paying a little bit more for.

State Farm insurance has been my insurance company for 8 years now. They have provided me with excellent service over those 8 years and overall I have been quite satisfied. Their insurance rates are what I would consider above average, however I feel like you get what you pay for. What has stuck out most to me about state farm is how my agent was willing to establish a personal relationship with me. When I need to call my agent, she instantly remembers who I am, my family, where I’m working, and I feel is genuinely interested as me as a person. This has made it tremendously easy for me when dealing with issues over the years.

Even though insurance companies obviously are out to make money, my agent has consistently brought to me, unsolicited, ways that I can save on my insurance rates. Over the years she has saved me a significant amount on my rates, and in most cases she brought these savings to me.

I was involved in one accident during my time insured with State Farm. After reporting the accident, they were very helpful and considerate. First thing after the accident they were interested in how I was doing emotionally after the accident, and if I was injured at all. In the weeks following the accident they were very helpful in helping me through the process of filing claims, getting in contact with the other driver’s insurance company, filing police reports, etc.

Since this was my first auto accident, I found it extremely helpful to have their assistance through the process. Where I feel State Farm is below average is in their insurance rates. I shopped around for a different insurance company about a year after being with State Farm. I found that I could get considerably lower rates than other companies. They were not the most expensive company, but they were above average in price. Overall I have been extremely satisfied with the service I’ve received from State Farm.

I feel like the company has tried to move away from the stigma of money-grabbing firms that don’t care about their customers. I also feel like you have to pay for this service. This isn’t a cut-rate company, and they deliver extensively on the premium you pay over other companies. My recommendation: State Farm is a company for those who desire more than the average insurance company in terms of service. You get what you pay for, and in this case you are paying for excellence.

State Farm and I will part after several years. They arbitrarily switched me to another agent who is the least customer service oriented I have ever experienced. Service has declined. Get in an accident and regardless if not at fault they make you feel like you are a bad driver. I am gone in about 60 days. They have tanked. P.S. will be filing a complaint with the State of Indiana.

I have never had anything but State Farm insurance-for about 45 yrs of driving. I have had several wrecks, some with uninsured, some insured, drivers. State Farm has always been there for me. (The company not my agent, which is not my agent anymore). They have told me things I never would have guessed I could have done or had. We also have life insurance. I only wish they would insure my home which does not have central heating. My ratings are for the company.

I have been with State Farm for over 25 years and I always thought they were a good company, reliable when you needed them. I have been an excellent customer and I never saw a reason to leave until now. In six months alone they have raised their prices 25%. When I called them to inquire I was told they had an approved rate increased in Florida. They should raise the premium to people with tickets, not people like me with a clean license and no accidents. They should look at the policies on an individual basis to see who deserves a premium increase. I am shopping around for car insurance because I refuse to pay this outrageous increase.

This is the WORST insurance company. They do everything they can to get out of paying legitimate claims. They take your money for years, but don’t think they will ever treat you with any respect when it comes to paying for medical when one of their clients hits you. They just string you along for years and do everything they can to try to get out of paying claims. State Farm is the kind of company that those movies are made about that show the insurance company doing everything they can to avoid their obligations to pay clients. I would NEVER recommend this company!

We have been with SF since 1978. Our kids are with SF. We have with them AUTO, HOME, LIFE, PERSONAL LIABILITY ins for 33 years. We have good agent and helps as much as possible. SF has been good until you have claim when they have to pay. Recently due to first water damage claim to home in 33 years we have been with them , SF increase our deducable from $500 to $2000 without talking to us. Our agent tried to talk to head office with no result and also lately keep increasing rates on all policies to cover the cost for their national payout incrases. Only thing good about them is they do fix things but you pay dearly and they do not fight for you with other ins companies. I never have looked some where else but now I am thinking about it.

Alarm on State Farm Auto Repair Policy

For any car more than one year old, state farm request body shop to put a used or refurbilished parts, such as steel wheel, drive axis.

I am scared by a used drive axis which will be put on my three and half year old car with 27000 miles.

Why would the state farm like to save money like that?

I have been with State Farm for less than a year. My girlfriend and I are on the same policy and have the homeowners insurance, Harley Davidson, and a small trailer, and of course our two cars. Her car was keyed and we filed a claim. The total damage was a little over 700.00 to fix. The deductible was 250.00. State Farm raised our rates 30.00 a month because of the claim. Never will I have state farm ever again.

I have been insured with State Farm for over 20 years and have always been extremely pleased with their service and claims handling. This is an insurance company that is actually concerned with their policy holders and will go the extra mile to make sure they are happy. Their rates are very competitive with other insurance companies and State Farm policies are much broader than most other companies.

If you are looking for an insurance company that is financially stable and will be around when you need them, State Farm is that company. They also offer several discounts for home, auto and youthful drivers that can reduce your premiums significantly. If you stay accident free for 10 years, you will receive a 20% discount on your auto premium and also a forgiven accident if you are involved in an at fault accident. Youthful operators can qualify for a good student discount, driver’s training discount and the steer clear discount which is a self assessment driving program offered by State Farm. You can also receive a multi car discount for insuring more than one vehicle and a multi line discount if you have homeowners, renters or life insurance.

They also offer a home/auto discount on your homeowners policy if you insure your auto through them along with a security system discount. claim free discount and longevity discount. You cannot go wrong if you choose State Farm and pick a great agent as I believe your agent makes a big difference in your insurance experience with any carrier you choose.

When I turned 16, my parents put me on their auto insurance to help save us some money since I was a new driver. I didn’t know the first thing about auto insurance, so I was fine with it. My price was a little up there, but after shopping around, I realized being a new driver is just expensive and I’m actually getting a great deal.

It was when I was in my first accident that I really understood what I was paying for. I was struck in my school parking lot by a fellow student, who was uninsured. I panicked, and called the police. I then called my mother, who was at work and did not answer her phone.

After what seemed to be a lifetime went by, I decided to call my insurance company for advice. The phone number on my card was my local office, not just some 888 number. The lady knew exactly who I was after I told her my name, and she was not only helpful, but also very caring. She knew I was young and this was the first time I had ever been in this kind of situation and she guided me through every step.

Now that I am 25, I have my own home and family, and I am still with State Farm. They offer the best price with all of my discounts, and they also go above and beyond with their service.

I was with State Farm for several years and assumed that going anywhere else for my basic single-car policy wouldn’t result in a significant savings. My rate jumped a bit when I bought another car (the same econobox kind of car, but 10 years newer and with the more sophisticated computer controls of its generation), then jumped again for no apparent reason. Neither time did I get any notice or explanation, which I took as disregard for customers’ budgeting needs. I called my State Farm representative and was told that the second jump was a standard rate adjustment. That’s not an unreasonable insurance practice (a notice or explanation is still in order), but the main issue was that my rate had gone up by about 35% within two years. It was time to shop around.

I called one of the companies that advertises low rates and ended up with higher coverage amounts at a rate 46% less than I was paying at State Farm. I don’t yet know what the customer service experience will be should I ever need to call on the new company, but I’m not about to turn down a 46% savings over fear of a bad experience that I could as easily have with any company.

My husband and I had State Farm Insurance for probably 24 years and we were very satisfied with the service we received. However when my daughter turned 16 I requested a price quote to add her and it was astronomical. I then started to check around. I got in touch with Country Companies and they gave me a far better quote. I called my State Farm agent back and gave hime the opportunity to match this quote and he told me he could not possibly match it. I was amazed since we had been with them for so many years that he was so willing to let us go. Since then we have been with Country Companies, about 14 years who I would like to add is the only insurance company out there that has the lowest complaints filed ( if any ) than any other insurance company.

State Farm as an insurance company may be just fine. For the last 25 years we have not had to file any insurance claims, but 25 years ago they did what you would expect from an auto insurance company. So my issue is not with State Farm Insurance, but rather with my agent and the individuals that run the office. We have several cars insured with them and they are constantly mis-applying our payments, allowing one policy to lapse while another one that has already been paid for gets the payment applied and eventually we get a refund check. Phone calls are a lesson in patience as no one in the office will ever take responsibility for an error and all errors are always the customers, in this case our, fault. My experiences have been so bad that I will switch insurance companies as soon as the money becomes available.

State Farm has been the best insurance company that I have ever dealt with and by profession I am an Insurance Agent. When I was involved in a very serious auto accident they were extremely efficient at handling my claim. I received promt service when I called the claim in. My adjuster was assigned to me immediately. They were very knowledgeable about every question that I would impose upon them. My check was issued in a timely manner. I was called throughout the entire process. Once my check was received I continued to be contacted to make sure that there was nothing else additional that I needed. They paid the medical bills and covered the other vehicle that I hit. All in all State Farm was the best insurance company that I have delat with in my 25 years in the insurance industry.

I am not a State Farm customer and never will be. I was recently in a fender-bender with a State Farm customer. I was making a right turn at an intersection where there are two traffic lanes with a bus stop to the right of them. I was in the right-hand of the two traffic lanes; when I turned I was hit from the right by someone who could only have been coming from the bus stop, but, well, was not driving a bus.

The first time my claim was refused, I was cited a statute saying I should have been as close to the curb as possible when turning. I looked up the statute, saw that local traffic regulations (such as marked bus stops) override it, and sent back a letter with that information, Google photos of the intersection, etc.

I got a new letter with a new story, now claiming that their driver was in the right lane and I was in the left. Which is simply impossible (we would have been blocking the intersection until we were towed 45 minutes later); and when I called in, I was told that an investigator had visited the intersection and there’s no bus stop there. Either he went to the wrong intersection or he’s lying. I work on that block and know it well. There is a clearly marked (by signage and on the pavement) bus zone which no car should be in.

Also, there’s a person claiming to be a witness but who showed up 20 minutes after the accident. I told the cop that, but he chose to ignore that and cited the witness (and no one else) on the police report. I pointed that out to State Farm and they said they’d try to reach the witness. When I called in after the second denial, they said they’d been unable to reach the witness but somehow – in what is apparently their idea of logic – that means they’re justified in relying on him (“not being able to reach the witness means they have no reason to overturn their initial decision,” or words to that effect.)

So we’re out $3,700 for repairs (until we take the issue to court). State Farm is clearly not interested in honestly resolving claims, just in paying out as little as possible. Maybe this is good from the point of view of the insured, but it’s just not right.

My insurance company is State Farm. I have been with them for over 30 years, and I am very pleased with them. They may be slightly higher than other companies, but they are very dependable. Their customer service is wonderful. They work with me to help me reduce my insurance costs. They are available 24 hours a day, which is great if I have an emergency. They have been very responsive to the few claims I have had. They paid my claims very quickly. I would highly recommend State Farm Insurance to anyone.

The rates are decent and they offer multiple discounts like family, multiple accounts, as well as a “good student discount.” There was a time, though, that I was in a fender bender that wasn’t my fault and it took WAAAY too long to actually get a hold of someone at State Farm and I felt like I had to do more then I should have to get them to call me back.

Also my policy provided me with a rental car so State Farm contacted a company they go with, Enterprise, and got a car ready for me. Everything was supposed to be taken care of and after I returned the car I got a bill for the so called “insurance” for the rental car. This was all setup by State Farm so basically I paid 100 bucks to get hit by some guy that can’t drive in snow. I wasn’t real happy that they didn’t reimburse me because they are the ones who set it up. When I’m off my parents insurance I probably won’t stay with this company.

State Farm, although they have received a bad reputation in disaster insurance, is by far the best auto insurance company one could hope for. If ever I have a problem they cut through all the red tape and respond quickly. When my windshield was vandalized I simply made one phone call to my agent and it was repaired that day for no charge!

Occasionally I have fallen behind in my payments, even though they provide very reasonable rates, and they are more than willing to work with me. They genuinely care about retaining you as a customer. Perhaps you are wondering is it just my agent that is so attentive? Yes and no. My agent is extremely attentive but I have received stellar service from all the State Farm agents I have done business with. My entire family is in fact under State Farm coverage and I wouldn’t have it any other way!!

I wrecked my brand new silver Toyota Yaris yesterday in a four car chain collision. There were over 14,000 dollars in damages between all of the vehicles, and mine was among the worst involved. I immediately called up State Farm Insurance and explained what had happened to them. They ran me through a series of steps that needed to be taken next in order to get my car back in working order. Also, because my plan was decent, I only had to pay a 500 dollar deductible for over 3,500 dollars of damage. They covered the cost of a rental car as well.

I also had to be taken to the hospital along with my girlfriend Mia, because both of us had some minor injuries. State Farm Insurance covered the hospital costs too. Today alone I have been called by my State Farm representative 3 times just to confirm that everything is okay and running smoothly. I do not regret for a moment having signed up with State Farm Insurance! Those guys are spectacular as well as some of the nicest individuals around.

I absolutely love State Farm Insurance Company. They have the best deals on full coverage insurance. I just called today to add my fiance on to my insurance. We were paying $280 a month through another provider. I got her car insured, full coverage, for $95 a month. Aside from the great deals, their customer service is wonderful. They are very friendly. I signed up through an independent insurance agent. He was the owner of the local branch. When I called him he was at home on his cell phone. Still got me the quote and got me setup so I could ride my motorcycle off the lot that day. Talk about service! I absolutely love State Farm.

State farm is the best insurance company there is. I was with Farmers insurance for 15 years and decided to do a little shopping around. I filled out a quote request on the internet and State Farm came back with a quote for my daughter and my self $700 less per year than I was paying. Farmers didn’t even try to match the quote and so I switched over. I have been very happy with the service I’ve received. My daughter lost her insurance card and they sent out a new one the same day I called. I was able to get my new policy all signed and completed thru email with my assigned agent. They always return my calls very quickly and are just really nice and helpful.

When I turned 16 and needed car insurance, I went with the same insurer my father had, a man he went to high school with. He took excellent care of our family through State Farm for years, until my father’s death. For some reason, after that his interest and care in our family faded. We changed to another local State Farm agent and continued to have excellent service. When I moved to Texas and then North Carolina, I got referrals from my home agent, and I have also been happy with the service and performance of those agents. State Farm may cost a little more, but the benefits are well worth it.

I have nothing but good things to say about State Farm auto insurance. I have been with the same agent for almost 25 years. They have always been extremely prompt to answer any questions I’ve had, and to respond to any claim that I’ve been forced to make. I think there are less expensive insurers out there–though State Farm’s prices are competitive–but I’ve never been tempted to switch because I know some of the cheaper places don’t have as good customer service, whereas, again, I’ve always had top-notch response from State Farm.

The few times that I’ve had a fender bender or whatever, the agent has responded to the issue within half a day or less. Whenever I send my agent an email message, he always responds within an hour or two. His staff is very courteous when I call. I recommend State Farm without reservation.

I have had State Farm insurance for all of my cars for the last 25 years. While I think the cost of the insurance is higher then most I have been very pleased with the service I have received. During the course of the 25 years I have insured myself ,my wife and 2 children as well. During this time both of my kids during their teenage years had fairly significant accidents. In one case totalling new BMW. While their rates did go up I was happy with the coverage and how the claims were handled. State Farm did fight legally the insurance company of the other driver and I thought they did well. So overall I feel the extra cost was worth it as the insurance and the customer service was strong.

State Farm is overall very good to deal with. I had someone hit me receantly and they gave me a low estimate for repairs. Keep in mind I drive a 1966 Mustang so parts are harder to price. I sent them back how much they should cost and they are currently going over it to grant me what I want. I also managed to have them reopen this claim after 9 months of procrastination on my part. They are fair, and easy to deal with most of the time. It always depends on who you talk to, but they are very compliant and helpful through the process.

I have had to call my insurance company with claims on two occasions. On both occasions, they made the process more difficult than necessary by making me provide duplicate information to two of their claim representatives. When I explained my frustrations, they gave a hurried, insincere explanation that state law required they act this way.

One time, I actually got a threatening-sounding letter stating that my auto insurance renewal was overdue and I was going to lose my coverage. This happened before they even sent me the regular renewal notice (with the two wallet-sized insurance cards). Fortunately, the lady at my agent’s office was able to resolve the situation quickly.

For those considering State Farm, make sure your agent’s office is efficient and competent. You can change agents while staying with State Farm if you choose. I have been frustrated with State Farm, but surprisingly I have not found better rates for my coverage with other reputable insurance providers.

State Farm is the company I’ve been with for about 15 years. I have had overall good service with them, and I have found them to consistently offer the best rate available. I have had only one major accident, and I was very impressed with the speed with which they processed my claim. I always have a pleasant phone experience with them, and when I’ve had to leave messages, my calls are always returned by the end of the business day.

The number one issue , really the only issue I have, with State Farm is that their roadside assistance plan is virtually worthless. Although it’s very cheap(a few bucks a month),it barely is worth it. The problem is, that although you are technically covered, it’s extremely difficult to get reimbursed.

For example, when I had to have my car towed, I had to pay the entire 300 dollars out of pocket up front, and then file with state farm for a reimbursement which took weeks to be processed. Then, they only covered 125 dollars of that amount as that is their maximum, because I chose to have it towed to my mechanic and they said i could have had it towed for less. That alone made me seriously reconsider State Farm, but I had the idea of joining AAA, which has a REAL roadside assistance program, and now I am fine with that. As long as I have that extra AAA program, I am perfectly happy with State Farm’s insurance services.

State Farm Auto Insurance has provided our family with exceptional customer service over the past 10 years. Any questions or concerns we’ve had have been dealt with in a fast and professional manner. When purchasing a new car, State Farm initiates our new policy within an hour and has the necessary paperwork at the dealer shortly after we’ve made our request.

With the unfortunate event of an accident, State Farm quickly supplied us with options for repair and kindly answered questions about our policy coverage. Our State Farm office checks in with us from time to time to be sure we’re satisfied with our coverage and to assure that we’re adequately covered. While State Farm may not be the least expensive auto insurance option, they are in my opinion the best value for our money.

Overall, I like State Farm. I have been with them since I was 16 years old and changed agents a few times but all is OK with them really. My current agent has really really good customer service via email.

My only real complaint is that they say they are 24/7 but they are not. When you call that 800 number during non-business hours, all they offer to do is take a message. They do not have access to your personal policy information and thus can answer no questions for you. That stinks. For the money I pay, I should be able to have access to my policy information by phone 24/7, as the ads state. Other than that, I have no real complaints. I have had a few wrecks/accidents over the years and they have never hassled me or raised my rates because of them.

My husband and I carry State Farm Insurance. We’ve had it for the 12 years we’ve been married. Our local office has always been so generous to us. They never fail to call us if we’ve been late. They have even given us a second call to remind at the last minute. When we go in to pay, they always make us feel very comfortable. As for paying out on our claims, we couldn’t ask for a better insurance company.

We had a minor incident when we were on vacation once, and they took care of it, no problem. Someone ran a stop sign and t-boned our SUV causing major damage (and drove off!) — Again, not a problem. I’ve even gone to them with possible claims and they told me the best way to handle it as not to have to up our insurance. This is the kind of service we expect and they never have let us down.

I have held an auto insurance policy with State Farm for 9 years (since I was 16). I have nothing but good things to say about State Farm Insurance. Throughout high school and college, I received a good student discount for having good grades. In 2005, my car was damaged by hail. State Farm gave me a great quote, and I was able to pay off my car loan. In 2006, I added renters insurance, and the combined total of the two was actually LOWER than my single rate for auto insurance. When I turned 25, my rates went down to phenomenal lows. This summer, I purchased a brand new 2008 vehicle, and my insurance is still insanely low. This month, for now reason at all, my premium went down AGAIN, saving me $15 a month. I could not be happier with my insurance.

I have been with this company since I started driving 36 years ago. Agents have retired and I find a new one. They have always been quick to pay which has actually rarely happened for me, but I know I can count on a quick response if I need one. My agent has even come to my work for me so that I did not have to take time off when I needed something.

I have checked around periodically and there is no place less expensive or more personable or fair. They also offer other things, like life insurance or savings as they are also a bank. They are never pushy in trying to get you into their other things. They are just an all around stable company that I am proud to be with.

I now have my daughter with them and she is happy as well as they talk to her and answer her questions in a way that makes her not afraid to ask since she is a new driver. My dad was also with them. I would not even ever consider switching unless they went out of business. Also you can view and make changes on line which is a convenience for me.

Extremely satisfied with State Farm. Rates have gone up a little past few years, and big jump past 12 months after a massive car accident involving my spouse over a year ago. But my only contact was after the wreck, and fast and efficient service. This is when you need your insurance company, usually when something goes wrong and you’re involved in an accident! All in all i’m onboard, but the current state of the economy has me on edge and I’ll be looking around again sooner ranther than later, as the recession is hurting my pocketbook and i need to save everywhere i can.
