Progressive claims that they will let you “name your price” when signing up for auto insurance. It is true that when you sign up on their website they give you many different coverage options based on different price points. However, when compared to competing companies, the amount of coverage you will get is much less. They have a wide variety from coverages ranging from auto to motorcycle to boat coverage, some of these are not offered by other auto insurance companies.

If you want to speak to a customer service representative by calling in, be prepared for a long wait time and indifferent representatives. The last time I called in, the customer service rep seemed inexperienced and confused. I was placed on hold three times and the only thing I needed to do was have my address updated in their system. Luckily, most policy changes and services such as ordering ID cards can be done online.

Progressive has an optional device called “Snapshot” that can be plugged into your car. The point of this is to see if you can qualify for additional discounts based on your driving. However, if you live in a heavily populated city, you may need to brake harder than usual. This will cause the device to beep. The beeps negatively impact your driving score, and you will most likely not receive an additional discount-unless you live in a rural area.

Overall, if you want impersonal service for a low price with a wide range of different coverages, Progressive is a good company to go with. If you like the extra “perk” of having your own representative, I suggest going with a different insurance company.

For nearly 20 years, I have been proud to say that I have been a member of the Progressive Insurance Family – and when I say family, I mean it. Compared to all other companies in that time period, I have yet to find a company that has combined the best price, with the most results…and also…has a reputable brand that stems from a great past history. In my case, I do not have the best driving record, negative points on my driving record and some recent speeding tickets/accidents – while my insurance did go up, I talked to an agent to make sure it was still within my bounds of what I could afford and much to my surprise, the agent also gave me some tips to help bring that down in the future if my driving performance improves.

On another occasion, I had a run-in with a driver who attempted to swerve around my car as I was making a turn into an intersection (the opposing driver had his head down and saw me too late). In the process of trying to avoid the other driver, I had to scrape the side of his car in a sharp turn to avoid a major head on collision. After the police came, the driver tried to argue that it was my fault, but through careful investigation and positioning of the car, Progressive saw that it was the fault of the other driver and acted accordingly when it came to my insurance claim on that particular matter. Of note – My father is with AllState and my brother, with Geico, – the stories I have heard from them regarding lost payments and poor customer service (Geico), I have yet to run into with Progressive and I am hoping that it stays that way into the future.

I am also a homeowner and though I am pleased with my house insurance through Farmer’s, I am planning on combining both driving and house insurance in the future as Progressive also offers deals for folks who do both through them. Just one more perk of being part of this company.

I have been with Progressive since 2008 and can honestly say I’m very happy with my service. Every six months I shop around for better rates and can never find anything better than what I’ve got. When I had to file a claim everyone was very helpful and the process was completely painless (as I’d never filed a claim before and didn’t know what I was doing) I had to take my car in for an assessment but they cut me a check the same day, no hassle whatsoever. They didn’t even raise my rate after filing the claim, it actually went down, which was surprising. The representatives both on the phone and in person are top notch and the online system is easy to navigate. I also love that they’re really forgiving if you can’t make your payment on time or you forget your renewal date (which I’ve done both a couple of times) but my coverage never lapses and they rarely charge any late fees unless it goes a month or more (in my experience). My only complaint would be the snapshot program. When I tried it out I had a perfect driving record, no tickets, nothing like that at all, but because the majority of my driving was at night (having a significant other on the night shift will do that) I wasn’t eligible for any discounts, which was a major disappointment. Other than that, my experience with Progressive has been completely positive and easier than any other insurance company I’ve dealt with in the past.

I have had Progressive as my insurance company for the past 5 years or so.

I have only been in an accident 1 time and it was my own fault. I backed into a pile of gravel and damaged my rear suspension and bumper. Also my tail lights were a bit dinged up and the paint was what I considered a mess. I called progressive to see what the procedure was that I had to follow as I had never been in an accident or needed to even call my insurance company in the past. They were extremely plesant to me and it was really a breath of fresh air.

I was noticeably shook from the accident and was a little bit worried about what was going to be the procedure as I use my car daily and was worried how long I would be without it. They had a tow truck dispatched to my house within the hour and I had a rental car at my place in about the same amount of time. I could not believe how fast they were and how good of service they provided. I did not know anyone at the company so I was not getting special treatment or anything and I was somewhat worried about this.

My car was sent into the shop and was back to me within about 7 days time. This is remarkable for the amount of work that needed to be done to the back end of my car. After this experience I would not change companies. This has made me a progressive customer for life unless something drastic changes.

When I started shopping for a new car insurance policy a couple of years ago, I browsed a lot of different providers and plan. Ultimately I chose Progressive because I found them to be the best value for my personal situation. I had also heard a lot about the company and thought they were quite reputable. Price was the biggest deciding factor for me, but I didn’t want to go with a really cheap no-name company. I thought Progressive offered the best of best of both worlds. I have been satisfied with my experience and coverage through Progressive.

My policy just renewed, and my monthly premium actually decreased a little bit, rather than a dreaded increase. I haven’t had to file any claims, so I can’t comment on that, but I have had excellent experiences with customer service. I have had to contact them on a couple of different occasions with questions I had about my policy and they were always very helpful. There was a bit of a wait when I called, but it was during peak business hours.

Progressive has given me the option to print my new insurance cards, or opt to have them mailed directly to my home address. I appreciate the choice. They also send me an email notification every month reminding me that my monthly premium will be deducted from my bank account in the following days. Email communication with them is excellent in other areas, as well. I am notified when I have a new document to view online, and they inform me of policy changes via email.

I have no gripes about the coverage I have selected through Progressive. They offered a wide-range of options and you can customize your policy to suit your personal needs. I have been happy with my experiences with Progressive, and see no reason to switch to a different insurance provider unless I find a better deal in the future.

I had progressive insurance for a long time. They were the only ones that would accept me because I didn’t have a long established history of having insurance. I would have trouble paying the 6 month term in full without having a lapse in insurance. This wasn’t their fault it was mine, however, I wasn’t able to get cheaper insurance without making 6 consecutive payments.

The one time I had a claim they were able to handle it quickly and paid what they were supposed to. Any time I called to speak to an agent about a billing situation, the person I spoke with on the phone was always professional and courteous. I did not mind having progressive insurance, it just was a lot more expensive than what my friends were paying for similar policies with other companies. Granted they were more responsible than I was with remembering to pay their bill on time. I finally was able to pay for 12 months up front. Once I did that, I was able to research and compare the prices progressive gave me with other available insurance plans in my local area.

I really liked the fact that when a lot of companies wouldn’t even give me a quote, progressive was able to sign me up for insurance in one day. Of the companies that provide insurance for people who have not yet had insurance for 6 consecutive months, progressive was the cheapest and also the company I had heard the most about.

They treated me fairly, they took care of my claim, and the rate was never different before or after I was involved in an accident that was later ruled to be what is conidered “no fault” They handled the claim quickly and professionally and never made me feel stupid or at fault, the way a lot of insurance companies would. All they wanted was for me to get my car fixed and have it fixed right. They provided a rental car for the entire two weeks it took to get my car fixed. When there was a problem with the body shop, my claims adjuster came out and took care of the small issue that they were having, without too much of a delay in getting it fixed.

Sure, other insurance companies may provide the same level of service for less money, but until you earn the right to be with a top- rated insurance provider, go with Progressive. They will treat you right when no one else will!

I have been with progressive since I got my first car at the age of 16. Now when I was 16 my parents were paying for my insurance, but when I moved out at 21, they made sure to transfer that over to me, and I have dealt with them ever since. I have nothing but great things to say about progressive, so where should I start?

Their claims department was OUTSTANDING! I had been in one accident before and had to make a claim, and the agent I spoke with made it nothing but smooth sailing. I was so happy because I have heard horror stories about claims departments trying to screw you over to make an easy buck or two, but that was NOT my experience with progressive, I felt as if they really cared that I had been in a somewhat serious auto accident.

Their customer service is what I will talk about next, and it was nothing short of an amazing experience. Every time I call one of their offices I am treated like a family member, and that is one of the most important aspects of customer service that I care about. I don’t know if it’s something in their coffee, but every time I call I end the conversation with a big smile on my face.

For the past few years progressive has truly shown me what a great business can all be about and I am glad I have stuck with them through thick and thin.

I’ve been with Progressive for a little over two years. My feelings about their insurance and them as a whole is pretty neutral. I love the fact that my insurance is not very high like I thought it would be, considering I’m under 25 and don’t have a much of a history as far as my driving record is concerned. Their customer service is on point and I’d give them an A+ for the two times I have had to speak with a representative on the phone.

The first time was because I’d broken down on the side of the road with a flat tire and they sent someone out to assist me right away. The second time, I’d locked my keys in the car and, although I didn’t have AAA added to my account, they gave me a free pass and sent someone out for me anyway.

They also added AAA to my account for me which didn’t add much to my monthly bill at all as I thought it might have.

For the most part, Progressive is an okay insurance company to start with if you are unfamiliar with how insurance policies really work. The support team is by far the greatest I have ever seen in an insurance company and that is the main reason I stay with them now. The price is fairly higher in comparison to other companies, but once again I stay for the service.

It is possible to get lower rates the longer you stay with companies as well as through features such as a small camera they put in your car to monitor driving habits. When you use the camera, it makes the rates cheaper the better you drive. That is something I enjoy quite a lot about them. Overall I would say they are a solid company, but the price is the only negative depending on your chosen policy. I was recommended Progressive by a friend and decided to go for it and have stayed with them since. If I found a better insurance company for a lower price I would have no problem switching, but I have no time to do so.

Price is the main thing that is inferior to other companies, but I am okay with it for the time being. Really I am just paying for good service when I call in or use the website(which is frequent) so for that I have no complaints. I do not like their last push to use those cameras in the cars though because I feel uncomfortable with an eye watching me all the time, but there is no enforcing of it(clearly). I would say if you need insurance fast for whatever reason, Progressive is a good option.

Off on and for the past several years, ever since the day I bought my first car, I have used Progressive. I have always been very pleased with their service. Though I admit to having dabbled with other providers, I have always gone back to progressive. They are like the love of your life, that you constantly break up with to see other people but end up running back to in the end.

Why? For one thing, they have great prices on their policies and plenty of opportunity to get lower rates through discounts and promotions. The name your price tool is great, and thiugh it wasn’t for me (apparently I slam on my breaks a lot more than I realize), the Snapshot is another great way for somebody with good driving skills to get rewarded with a discount. There are many other discounts that one can get. Another great thing about Progressive is their customer service. They are friendly, helpful, and always willing to work with the customer, and best of all, always available. If you happen to forget to pay your bill, they don’t cut you off at the source-they give you a bit of cushion so that you can make your payment without risking driving around illegally. I have never hung up after a call with Progressive feeling as though they don’t care about me.

The good thing about Progressive, too, is that they offer more than one type of insurance, so if you can esentially insure everything with them. They are just a great all around company to work with, and I am happy to recommend them to anybody.

I have been with Progressive for last 4 years and I can tell you I have never been happier. I used to be with Geico and they were charging lot of money. I switched to Progressive and I saved over $100 right away. It really helped me financially because I didn’t have that much money during that time since my job wasn’t paying that much. One time I had an accident and I called Progressive and they sent the tow truck within 20 minutes and they also provided me with loaner car next day. I was really happy with their service.

There was this another time when someone broke into my car and stole my gps. I had to repair the door glass myself and I paid for it. I called Progressive and they said if I send them the receipt they will re-imburse me for it and all behold I got re-imbursed within two weeks. Their customer service rep has always been a good to me. There was only one time when I got a rep who was not very knowledgeable about the product and that’s why I rated customer service as 4. You would think that their price would go up with years but every year I get a discount on my account.

They also provided me with this tool which attaches to the car and monitors your speed. If you follow speed limit all the time they will give you good discount for being a good driver and I don’t know any other insurance company who does it!!

I’m really unhappy with progressive. I was lured in by the commercials about saving money and decided to check out a quote with them. I was surprised how much cheaper it was so I signed up with them at my local office.

Well everything was fine for a few months but then I noticed my rates started rising a little bit, not a lot just a few dollars a month. They never notified me at all I just kept seeing the amount being withdrawn from my account and it would differ and go up just a little bit each month. Then I experienced their customer service.

I got into an accident where I hit a deer, and basically caused a couple thousand dollars worth of damage. They basically informed me my rates would be going up because I was a new customer and unfortunately there was nothing I could do about it. I got my car fixed and paid my deductible and after a that next month my rate jumped up almost 25% just like they said it would. It was almost like I was being force fed a rate jump and that would have to take it and like it. I was really upset and complained a bunch to customer service but they were equally unhelpful. I just felt stuck, and thats a terrible feeling to have with a car insurance company. After I finished my first year with them I went looking else where for another policy.

I used to have Geico and they were charging me lot of money for my auto insurance. One of my friend told me about Progressive and how great they are so I called them up and they gave me very good discount.

It was $70 less than I was paying at Geico. They also sent me this device which I attach to my car and it keeps track of my car speed and they give you discount if you drive carefully and follow the speed limit. If you are a good driver they give you very good discount every six months. I have never been happier.

One time I had an accident which was my fault I called Progressive and they sent tow truck within twenty minutes and next day I got a loaner car delivered to my house. They were quick in repairing my car even though it was damaged badly. I think all new insurance company in the market are not very fair to customers and I was paying high monthly payment because of it but ever since I switched to Progressive they look after me and give me good discount every time I renew the policy.

Their customer service could be little better because every time I’ve called them I always get someone who is not very nice and I always have to talk to their supervisor in order to resolve my problem. I think they have done a great job overtime and they provide different kind of insurance for different vehicles. I also have motorcycle insured with them and I have never had any problem with it so far. I have been with them for last two years and I don’t think I’ll go to different insurance provider any time soon.

Progressive many very well be the worst car insurance I ever have. Everything was great when I first signed up. Customer support was friendly, they promptly mailed my flashy insurance cards, and I felt like I definitely made the right insurance choice.

It wasn’t until my hours were cut back at my job 4 months later that I was proven dead wrong. I wasn’t given much notice that my hours were going to be cut, however as soon as I was notified I looked over my responsibilities and called Progressive right away. The rep assured me over the phone that they would be able to work with me since I was tight on funds. I requested an extension on my payment date so I would have time to gather the money, and she stated it was absolutely fine and they would give me a couple weeks.

Two weeks go by past my original due date and I’m able to pay my bill, thankfully. I go to submit my payment online, only to find that I am unable to pay online. I call in confused, and they tell me that because I missed my payment date, and it was weeks ago, my insurance had been cancelled and I would need to pay a reinstatement fee in the hundreds to even get my insurance back.

Needless to say, I couldn’t pay it. I raised a fuss, demanded managers, went back and forth between reps who didn’t know anything about the situation until I finally gave up.

Progressive has long been a bit unique in it’s structure-and modus operandi. The owner/CEO back in the early 90’s or so, dedicated much of his time and money to social causes and voting referendums. I liked this, so i opted for them as my car insurance company.

Of course, what really sealed the deal was their open transparency about their pricing. And, that pricing was not only very competitive, but a nice savings for me [as compared to ALL other companies]. The billing was and is clearly stated-no hidden costs. I have the same options for when I want to pay[every month/quarterly/yearly etc. Even though my policy is a meager one-just meeting the legal requirements, I’m treated as a valued customer.

I did switch from Progressive to a Classic car only company [American Classics Auto Insurers}since Progressive did not cover such cars [their pricing would have been way too high], nor did the competition. However, when I sold the 1949 Olds 98 fastback [should have kept it!!]I checked for the best pricing on my new car[used] I had to choose between 3 companies. Progressive matched a price offered to me from a competitor, and I gladed reunited with my longtime FRIEND. Indeed, after having a business relationship for many years, I feel a bit connected to them..we have a good history together.

I have yet to file a claim, have yet to be involved in any type of incident related to my insured vehicle, so they appreciate my spotless driving record. I haven’t received any violation citations-not even a parking ticket for the past 15 years!!! So-for my requirements-just meeting the state’s legal requirements, Progressive offers me friendly, flexible, professional coverage/service.

My time with Progressive was a love/hate relationship. I loved that they gave me so many discounts when I first got their coverage. It was price competitively and I thought I would be content with it. My opinion changed a few months later.

During the 6th month of my coverage, it was time to renew, but the price was going up $20 despite me not having an accident or ticket in 10 years. So I was going to bite the bullet and continue coverage, but with the price increase, I needed to change the billing date to make sure I had enough money to deal with the increase. I was told by my agent that it would be a simple phone call for the change to happen. Well after 3 days of calling different people, I find out that I could NOT change my billing date because it was less than 15 days before renewal. I couldn’t change my billing date for another 6 months! The customer series person had a real attitude when I pleaded for the change.

I felt trapped and I did not want to stick around a company that wasn’t to treat me like nothing. I’m in the process of leaving Progressive and I can’t wait for that day I’m no longer under their coverage.

I bought a policy with Progressive over 10 years ago, and they have been a good company. Not perfect, but good. They’re reliable, helpful, knowledgeable, and a solid company. The customer service line is open 24 hours a day, and over the years I’ve had to call for coverage questions, coverage changes, new ID cards, and other things I can’t think of right now. Most of the time, they have done a great job in assisting me, and insuring our cars.

The two areas I have an issue with are the high premiums I was charged, and the way our claim was handled. The premiums were really too high, For all the years we were accident free, our premiums should have been a lot less. They were charging me so much (they said) because of the zip code we lived in. At the same time, because we were “good drivers” they gave us a discount. So if you charge a high premium, and then give a small discount, who are you really helping? Progressive, that’s who. For all the money we paid them over the years, it was pure profit. It got so I hated seeing all their commercials on tv, over and over again. I feel that’s where all the money we paid went to. When we finally reported an accident, I felt the adjuster was impatient with my questions. I mean, I asked them anyway, I wasn’t going to let her attitude stop me, but it made things more unpleasant. I think the company should spend some of that money on customer service training, instead of 50 commercials a day with Flo. I finally took some steps to lower my premium, and it made me feel a lot better. So, overall, Progressive is a good company. I would suggest getting quotes from other reputable companies before signing up. They are not the only rodeo in town.

I’ve been insured with Progressive Auto Insurance for about four years now. When I got my first vehicle, a old, beat-up Dodge van, I first talked to Geico about getting insurance and the rate they quoted me was absurd. I went to Progressive next, and their rate seemed much more fair. My agent was very informative about the policies and things that were covered/not covered, and has always been available to reach at any time. She helped me tremendously when I had my first (and only!) accident two years ago due to brake failure. I started out with just liability insurance, but upgraded to full coverage with a deductible after a few months. Progressive also has a program where the rates on my policy decrease over time, which has led to a nice, low monthly payment now. The online claims service for accidents is nice, though I only had to use it once after conferring with my agent. It makes reporting and processing an accident fairly easy. Also, my rates did not go up after my accident, which I found both surprising and very nice, as I have heard horror stories from other insurance companies who hike their rates after an accident. Overall, I have really enjoyed having my insurance through Progressive and can’t see any reason to leave them. The monthly payment is fairly low, I get excellent service from both my local agent and the company as a whole, and they make everything pretty easy and streamlined to work through. I highly recommend them for anyone that needs auto insurance, whether liability or full coverage.

I used to swear by Commerce Insurance Co. Im not the most careful driver. I have had a few accidents and a few speeding tickets. Recently, I had another driving infraction which added 5 points onto my license. Commerce Insurance Co. sent me a letter saying they were raising my insurance premium from $2400/year to $3700/year.

I started looking around and found Progressive.com. I typed in all of my information and they quickly emailed me a quote. $1400/year!!! I didnt understand how that was even possible so I called my old insurance agent. They basically told me that because Im a “high-risk driver” that they require me to have the absolute maximum on each category of the policy: for example state minimum for liability in Massachusetts is 20,000/40,000. They were requiring 100,000/300,000.

So I called Progressive and asked them how they can afford to give me such a low price. In their own words they told me that they don’t look at me as a “high risk driver” and that’s what I needed to pay. Not only was the price great, but the two representatives I spoke to were very knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with.

Since then, I’ve gotten several friends to switch to Progressive and their premiums also dropped significantly. I would definitely recommend Progressive to anyone. I encourage people all the time to get a quick quote online because its easy and only takes a few minutes. My entire experience with them has been a positive one so far.

Don’t fall for the “low price” guarantee with these guys. We have been with them for two years and seen our premiums increase from $39/month to $59/mo. We have had no moving violations, no accidents, no reason for an increase. When we called to see why, we were told it was because of losses in Florida and the New York/New Jersey areas of the country. Not sure what that has to do with us in Nevada. Needless to say, we are leaving Progressive for greener pastures.

When I moved to another state recently, I decided to check my insurance rates with several companies. Progressive turned out to be the best one, so I changed my coverage.

I have not had to make a claim, but I have had to insure two new vehicles, and get a teenager on my policy. That was all handled very quickly and efficiently. One of the vehicles had a problem with the title that took a few months to resolve, but I was able to get it covered anyway. That was a relief because we occasionally have storms and hail in this part of the country.

With regard to my teenager, I was concerned that my rates were going to skyrocket, but after all was said and done the increase was affordable. The agent I spoke to even mention a few things I didn’t know that wound up saving us some money. For example, she mentioned defensive driving classes would lower the rate some, and since we had our teen take these classes as part of his prep for the licensure test it wound up reducing the rate somewhat. It took some time to determine the courses were eligible, so the extra attention was certainly appreciated.

I was not expecting this level of service, especially since my prior carrier has a brick and mortar operation in my small town. In hindsight, I think that was a lot more about the personality of the agent, and not the product itself. I’ll take the latter, since that’s what we’re actually buying.

Progressive has been a great company to be insured through. I have been insured through Progressive for about 6 years now and it has been a breeze the entire time. I began with State Farm Insurance because that is what my parents were insured with. The rates were decent being insured under my parents, but when it was time to get my own insurance the rates weren’t as great.

I switched over to Progressive and my auto insurance rates were considerably lower than any other insurance company. Also, about three years ago I got a ticket for driving under the influence and my insurance rate never went up and they didn’t kick me off or anything. They’ve been very supportive in helping me get over the incident and I feel protected and secure with them. Due to the ticket, I had to get SR27 added to my insurance policy, which makes it so if I get another ticket or something else happens, I would get my license taken away immediately. Progressive made it very simple to add this to my policy and didn’t even charge me anything.

Also, a great thing about Progressive is that you can pick whatever date you want your payment to be deducted from your account. It is very helpful when you might have something come up and need that cash for something else. They also have great price reductions for signing up for e-bills online and for adding extra policies, such as rental or home insurance. They have fantastic customer service personnel and are always very easy to communicate with.

When I bought my van back in 2011, I looked at a bunch of different insurance companies and finally settled on Progressive because they gave me the lowest monthly rate.

I opted for the paperless option to save some money, which ended up being a headache later on when I tried to get my new insurance cards after the first six month period. I was not aware they were available to be printed online, and spent several hours working my way through their phone system labyrinth before being notified of this fact.

Overall, though, Progressive has good customer service. My agent is almost always available to talk for questions, and their online claims service makes reporting an accident easy.

I was involved in a rear-end collision and they took care of everything for both the other driver and myself, and I only needed to make one phone call to verify the information I had entered on the website. I only have basic coverage, but they also offer some nice services such as rental car coverage and other stuff.

My only real gripe is that my monthly fee has gone up twice since I began with Progressive; once after my accident, and a small raise the next year for initially unspecified reasons. I called my agent and she looked it up for me, turned out to be a standard rates increase across the board for all insured drivers.

Overall, though, Progressive has given me great and reliable service, and I have no plans on switching to another auto insurance provider anytime soon.

Though they are not the most popular insurance company, I have no doubt that they are the best. I originally went with the company after returning from college and looking for a low-cost provider. Progressive was among the cheapest, and I decided to go with Progressive over Geico, because it had a better reputation. It was the best decision. In terms of examples, one particular incident really made a difference in the way I looked at Progressive.

I had gotten into an accident by a foreign exchange student and it was the student’s fault. This happened as a I was going to work and the student only had basic insurance that covered the car damages, but nothing else. I also only had the basic insurance, but the Progressive agent heard my circumstances, knew I had to go to work…and because I had been with the company for so long – they sent out a tow and a one-time voucher to use for transportation (rental). I was able to still go to work and what I learned is that if people are with Progressive for a long time, they will do everything they can to keep you. It was tremendous service and a great experience.

I would recommend Progressive to everyone, but mostly to younger drivers as I feel their agents are more “nurturing” and actually take a minute to listen. The last thing someone wants to hear after getting in an accident is someone who makes the claim difficult. Though I have had accidents that I have caused, I can truly say I have never had problem with the claim service itself.

I really do like my insurance company. The only issue that I had was that my rate went up ten dollars and I don’t know why that is. Perhaps it’s my fault for not calling them to verify that. Other than that, they were the cheapest insurance company by far and I would recommend them to anyone.

My husband and I have been with progressive for over 6 years now. Many people complain about the prices at Progressive, but that is not ME! I believe that we have great insurance protection for a great price. Progressive allows my family to be able to afford to own two vehicles, with me being a stay at home mommy every discount matters.

Did I mention that Progressive offers all kinds of discounts from being married to completing a college degree. There is NO limit on the amount of discounts that you can apply to your account either.

A few years ago our vehicle had been hit and no one seen anything. We were nervous about calling and reporting a hit and run. However, they made the process simple. Making a collision report could not be easier. They have plenty of locations around where we live to choose from to get a quote, so you do not feel limited to where you can take your vehicle.

Making payments is simple; you can make online payments or make payments over the phone. The customer service reps are always nice and welcoming when you have to call to make a payment or anything otherwise. We have never have had any problems receiving our insurance cards or replacement cards when ones are lost.

Progressive makes it easy to manage your insurance protection online with different options to choose from and with detailed information about your service and plans. I would recommend Progressive to anyone and everyone I Know.

I’ve been with Progressive for a couple of years now and thoroughly enjoyed having them for the most part. There was no hassle whatsoever when I bought a new car and had to change my policy (the billing was fairly seemless).

When I was involved in a hit and run accident the process of reporting the accident and making the claim and having my car inspected all was much smoother than I had expected. However, my local agent never stopped badgering me for the police report information (though I had given it to her a couple of times and was originally told I didn’t even need it). Also, because of this one claim, my premium has sky-rocketed and I now have to change to another company.

While I was with Progressive I tried out the snapshot program for six months and put up with all the annoying little beeps only to not be given any discount. The reason given was simply “driving information”. I wish they were more specific in that regard, but all in all they have been good to me.

It’s a shame that they raised my rates so much for an accident that I wasn’t at-fault for. There is also a pretty large differential between paying your six-month premium all at once or paying it month-by-month, which is unfortunate. The customer service I received was on the whole pretty good, but there’s not much point of insurance if after one accident (in my entire driving history!) they jack my premium up by a factor of three (well over the check they cut me, mind you).

Progressive car insurance has been nothing but a blessing to me for the last 2 years and 6 months. In the beginning, Progressive offered the lowest rates imaginable for my vehicle. At the end of the first year I received an additional small discount!

When I purchase a new vehicle I entered into the Progressive snapshot program after seeing it on television commercials. Upon receiving the small piece of equipment I was not really sure what to expect. I put it on my vehicle and found that I could track how far, how fast and how many hard brakes I encountered on all of my trips. Upon completion of the snapshot program I received an additional 20% discount which made an already low insurance cost, even lower!

In another 6 months I will receive an additional small discount for having 3 years of continuous service with Progressive. During this 2 and a half years I have experience one small fender bender which allowed me to truly assess the customer service capabilities of Progressive. I must say that this experience proved to be pretty painless. After one phone call, and a few emails, I was not required to input anymore into the handling of the situation and it was all taken care of in a timely manner.

As someone who works full-time and goes to school full-time, not having to spend much time dealing with a situation like that was a blessing. Overall, I have been extremely pleased with Progressive so far and have no intentions of switching companies anytime soon!

I got Progressive last year when I needed a special kind of commercial auto policy for my job, and they happened to have the cheapest rates (though it is still an expensive policy). It was easy to set up, and my representative explained the breakdown of the charges and also recommended what sorts of services to add on (such as roadside assistance). He was very thorough, and I definitely felt like my business was appreciated.

The main snag I ran into was when I got into an accident a few months later, and called Progressive to make a claim. The person who answered was very helpful and nice, however, I was assigned someone specifically to work my claim and getting a hold of him was impossible. I left several voicemails, received no call backs, and every time I called I was told he was the one who needed to work my case. I eventually just stopped trying. The lack of communication was frustrating, given how many times I called. However, this was the only time I have had a problem with them.

I have called to have my ID card e-mailed to me, and the first time the representative sent it, it did not view properly. When I called back, the second representative edited the document and then stayed on the phone with me until I pulled it up on my computer so I could confirm that it viewed correctly and all the information was visible, which I appreciated. I also get a couple of discounts on my policy, for being a good student and having a good driving record.

All in all, I have been pretty happy with Progressive.

I was a 24 year old with no driving record when i first got my license i was very confused on who to get. I thought i would go online and just look around at the prices. They were very surprising i thought i was going to pay a fortune. But it was nice to see they weren’t that high even though i live in a major city. I googled different car insurances and they all came in at a price that i not wanna pay.

Then i went to progressive and there website was easy to use and was much cheaper than the others so i went with them which i thought was awesome. They were very easy to use i got discounts for many things like paying for 6 months ahead of time. They offered a program called snapshot which was awesome they give me 30% off just because i drive slow and not at night much it was awesome to get a discount for that. I have been using them for two years and don’t have a complaint. When my time is coming up they send me warnings so I won’t forget and it is nice because i forget often.

I have yet to file a claim with them but i am sure it is easy to do they even have apps that you can use of your phone. I wouldn’t hesitate to use progressive if you want solid cheap car insurance that is reliable and easy to use.

I have had Progressive as my insurance company for 4 years and I have never had any major problem with them. I had one accident and they provided me with good support and reliable car. They always treat me well. I have Honda Civic 2006 and my insurance is extremely low. I used to be with different insurance company and they were charging me almost double of what I am paying with Progressive.

I remember one time I had an accident and they sent a tow truck for me. They called me next day and gave me a loaner car so I could get to work and do my daily work. I have been very happy with them and I don’t think I’ll ever find a company as good as Progressive.

I have recommended it to my friends and family as well and they are very happy with this company. Their customer service is not very nice if you call them for first time but they are nice once you have gained their trust by paying your dues on time. They always lower my monthly premium every six months.

There was this other time when someone broke into my car and I had to get glass replaced. I paid it from my pocket but when I called Progressive about refund they told me to send them receipt and they’ll reimburse the money and they reimbursed me after two weeks. I don’t think I”ll ever change my insurance company from Progressive. They are very reliable and know how to keep their customers happy.

I have never been treated worse in my entire life than how I was treated by Progressive auto insurance. The company looks great superficially. They offer great premiums and rates, they answer your questions when you have them, and they give you multiple ways to communicate with them. However, if you ever have to file a claim with them, beware of the consequences.

When someone hit me in a parking lot and gave me their information, and took the blame at the scene, and had a witness, it seemed like a slam dunk for me. When I called Progressive and reported the claim, they said that they cared and would handle it. After a full month went by, I asked them what is going on and they said that the other party is claiming that someone had stolen the car and that person who stole it hit me. The whole time I had the person’s info from the accident, which matched his insurance info, but Progressive kept telling me that they couldn’t do anything about it.

After talking to at least four people at Progressive, and getting zero help whatsoever, I was forced to pay for a $500 deductible for something that was supposed to be covered by the person who hit me! Progressive did not defend me, and they did not take this case to court. Instead they told me “tough luck” and charged me $500. Then when it came time to renew with them, they tried to increase my premium!

This company is totally unfair in how it treats customers, and it does not do everything it can to help. The company is bottom-line oriented and basically does nothing for the little guy. Avoid!

I currently have Progressive as my insurance carrier for my automobile. I have been a long time customer of theirs since 2006. I like Progressive because of their ease of use, friendly customer service, and optional services that you can add onto their policy.

Each month, my bank account is automatically withdrawn for the monthly amount I agreed upon when signing a contract with Progressive, so I don’t have to mess with writing cumbersome checks or spending money on costly stamps. Progressive will even offer you a choice to pay early…. Or, if money is an issue that month, they will periodically allow you to pay later with a small late fee. They try very hard to work with people on a tight budget. At no time, did I ever feel berated by their customer service department when things got tough and I had to ask for a later date to pay my insurance.

In addition, I had purchased an optional service plan for my car that offered roadside assistance and towing for whenever my car broke down. The fee is an extra $5 a month and it has been worth every penny. One time, my battery completely died, and I called their service department for assistance. They connected me with a service company they had a contract with, and the service company came out (within an hour,) jump started my battery, and even offered to tow my car to the nearest mechanic for service work. I opted to drive myself to the nearest auto-supply store and replaced the battery myself, but I was happy they offered to go above and beyond their normal service. There was no additional cost to me because I had that $5 roadside policy and it was a real life saver. This is definitely a service feature I recommend to anyone, especially if you are a single woman, a business traveler, or even a mother with a small family…. This is a definite must have if something happens while you are travelling, and unable to get assistance otherwise.

I have not had an auto-accident as of yet so I cannot state how their service is for that, but the longer you drive accident-free and stay with them, the more discounts and rewards they offer to their clients.

Progressive is a good, solid auto insurance company that I’ve been with for several years. They have always given me decent customer service.

In fact, sometimes their friendly representatives can be a bit dramatic, as in what happened to me when I got locked out of my car and needed a locksmith. The representative on the line was extremely concerned about my safety, assuming that I was on the side of a road somewhere even though I was only in the middle of a safe parking lot. But that’s okay – I don’t mind them making a bit of a fuss over me. I’ve only been in one accident which was not my fault, so I can’t review how Progressive customer service handles things when it’s the customer’s fault for an accident. However, Progressive did handle all the coordination between me and the other driver’s insurance company smoothly.

One thing I wish Progressive did better is that they would keep me up to date on the latest auto insurance discounts, and any legislation, regulatory changes or other changes that might affect my insurance policy rates. I would also love to be notified when my rates change significantly for any reason. For example, a few months ago my monthly insurance bill was suddenly $30 less. I was delighted, but Progressive never gave me an explanation as to why my rates dropped. I could always call them to ask them, but that’s a bit of a hassle.

It would be nice if they just sent me an email or text message instead, updating me on the status of my policy. For example: “Good news! We learned that recently a gate was installed at your apartment complex. This will reduce your insurance rate!” It is very possible that they already offer these instant update features, but if they have, I haven’t heard of it, and they haven’t notified me of it.

The other thing they could upgrade is the look of their statements and policies. I think they could use a larger, sans serif font instead of the small serif font that they currently use, to make their insurance statements easier to read. Also, more graphics or charts to illustrate costs and benefits would be nice. All in all though, Progressive is a solid, reliable auto insurance company. I would grade it a B+.

I have been with Progressive Auto Insurance Company for about a year now. I like this company alot. I like how everything can be done online. Anytime I have ever had a question that could not be answered online I always call the customer service department. They are always friendly and informative when I speak to them. They also provided the cheapest rates on car insurance compared to other companies.

The only complaint I would have is that the renter’s insurance rates are not as competitive as the car insurance rates. I called a few weeks ago to receive a quote on 100 renter’s insurance and was shocked that Progressive offered the highest rates. I will say that when I informed Progressive that the rate was a little too high for my liking they made every attempt to bring the price down. Although I was pleased with the customer service I received I eventually decided to go with another company for my renter’s insurance needs. I would recommend Progressive Auto Insurance Company to anyone.

I also like Progressive because when my fiance needed a new insurance policy I was able to add him to my policy without any problems. Adding him to my policy actually made my rate lower. This is because Progressive has an excellent program that gives discounts when you combine or add policy members to your policy. My payments are automatically withdrawn from my account and as a full time employee it is always more convenient when that option is available.I will continue to stick with Progressive Auto Insurance Company for many years to come.

I’ve been with Progressive since 2006 and I can honestly say that Progressive makes car insurance easy and affordable. From the beginning, the enrollment process was quick and easy to understand. My local representative is bilingual (Spanish) and she has been very helpful in getting me the best price and coverage without spending thousands. They also offer many discounts for students; I was glad because I was going to college at the time I signed my first policy.

I like the fact that every bill/policy changes I get online (less paper clutter and better for the environment) and can pay right there as well in either one discounted payment or in 5 installments. Another great aspect about the company is that every time I call and have a question I don’t have to wait more than a couple minutes to speak with a very helpful and friendly representative.

In 2008, I had a car accident during the winter and I called immediately to get assistance. Not only did the representative helped me right away filling out the claim, but he also showed a human side worrying if I was all right or needed anything. Progressive followed up with me, and since I was not at fault my premium payments did not go up at all. Also, at least every two years or so I receive an additional discount for my 6 month policy and I appreciate not having to constantly check other insurance companies. I stay with them because their excellent customer service, affordable plans/discounts for my car and convenience to pay.

I’ve been a Progressive auto and home insurance customer for six years. My insurance premium is very affordable. I researched a number of insurance companies in my area before choosing Progressive. I chose Progressive due to its affordable rates, program benefits, and overall customer service experience. Progressive took all my needs into consideration when I received my first quote. My final policy was even hundred dollars less than the initial quote I received from Progressive.

Progressive understood my needs and my Progressive agent was very knowledgeable about the products the company offered. My Progressive agent worked tirelessly to make sure that I was getting the best deal for the amount of insurance coverage I needed. I never had to worry about my questions going unanswered, because my agent keep in contact with me throughout the entire process.

I also chose Progressive, because my policy information and forms I may need could be easily accessed online through Progressive’s website. Its also great that I could pay my policy premium online and make changes to my policy. Progressive also sends a copy of any policy changes or company policy changes to my email. Progressive online serves as a great resource to learning more about the company, the insurance options it offers, and a buyers guide.

Through Progressive online, consumers can use the Name Your Price Tool to get the best quote for their budget. Also, Progressive allows me to file and process claims easily. I could report a claim and vehicles repairs online. Progressive has a great Roadside Assistance program that I’ve used a number of times in the past. Roadside assistance normally arrives within 10-40 minutes after I contact Progressive. I’m also apart of Progressive’s reward program due to the number of years I’ve been a Progressive insurance customer. Through the rewards program, I receive a continuous insurance discount on my policies.

Progressive is the best insurance company for my needs and I will continue to remain a customer for years to come.

I got a great deal with Progressive. Because of my good driving record and continuous coverage, I was able to afford higher than the minimum required limits for my state. I have not had to put in a claim yet but I feel that if I needed to it would be attended to promptly and justly. My monthly payment is very reasonable for having full coverage. When I purchased my first car, I had to debate heavily with myself on which insurance company I should trust it to, in case I were to get into an accident. After hunting around for a few days and comparing quotes, I came across Progressive Auto Insurance. Their insurance quoting system was unique because it offered me the option of not only seeing what kind of rates that they would offer me, but also the rates of many of their competitors. I was shocked to discover that, indeed, Progressive offered me the lowest and most reasonable rate that I could find for minimum coverage on my vehicle.

After a few short minutes of discussing my options with one of their sales representatives, I immediately chose to sign up for the service which they were offering me. I really have enjoyed the service which this company has provided me, for many reasons. First and foremost, the longer a customer is insured by Progressive, the lower their insurance rates become and the more benefits they receive. With this company, it truly pays off to stick around for a while. About a year and a half after I got my insurance, I got into my first car accident.

Unfortunately, due to hard financial situations, I had been forced to let the insurance on my vehicle lapse. I am quite confident, however, that Progressive would have been truly helpful and supportive with me through my claims process, as they were a stellar company for me to do business with, while I could.

Me and my husband have been with progressive for 1 year now. We went with them because they provided us with the best quote and great customer service for a DUI filing in Florida. They were the only company to offer us payments on a DUI everywhere else in the state of Florida wanted us to pay upfront for 6 months we could not afford to do that. They helped us get our Id cards when we lost them they emailed them to me so I could print them instantly.

They were very quick to get in touch with us when we were in a car accident. They helped us get our claim settled quickly and without any issues since we were not at fault. When we could not make are payments on a certain date they would extend our payment date with us with no problems sometimes they would just add it on to our next months bill. I am always able to get in touch with them and they answer all my questions to the best of their knowledge.

The application process is quick and easy you can have your payments set up online to be took out of your bank. I could not afford to pay them up front when we started our policy but the next month I was able to pay them up whole for 6 months so I did and they sent me 319.00 credit back to my account for paying in full. I was excited that was extra money I did not plan on and was able to use it to buy needed items. I would recommend progressive I love their company their insurance and their customer service is excellent.

One time our insurance policy was closed with them because we had an outstanding balance they let us open up a new policy later and take care of the old payments whenever. They have worked with us a lot since we have been with them and we will continue to be a customer to them in the future.|

Progressive may be a bit more pricey for some people based on what you’re insuring, but believe me when I say that their claims department and customer service is PHENOMENAL.

I total’d my car driving home one night by losing control into a guard rail. I did not hit any other cars. My car was towed to a wrecker by the city and when I called progressive to file a claim they answered quickly and made sure I and any passengers were ok.

They took care of everything. The payed the tow fee, moved my car to their lot for claims adjustment, gave me well above KBB for the car, negotiated with the bank to payoff the loan on my behalf, took out the deductible, and cut me a check, all in 3 business days! I literally did not have to do anything and they did it all no questions asked and made sure I was informed and had the littlest trouble possible for such a stressful event.

They even told me to send them any bills from the city for damage as they would happily take care of it. They even spoke with my passenger in the car to make sure he was OK and that if anything medically developed to call them directly immediately to file a PIP claim.

Outstanding service and care for their customers, I would not choose anyone else.

My daughter’s car was rammed by a car while she was attempting to change lanes to the right. While driving along with her signal blinking, she was waiting for the car next to her to clear the lane before moving over, when “road rage”, who was tailgating and honking at her, punched into the left rear corner of her car with the right front corner of his car. The whole thing was witnessed clearly by another driver who completely validated my daughter’s version of the accident. George Ramirez at Progressive-San Antonio refused 100% of the claim, stating the damage to her car and damage to his car indicated that she had somehow SIDESWIPED him, which is physically impossible to do when you’re in the SAME LANE. Instead, the damage was completely and solely compatible with an accident caused by an impatient driver who was not controlling his speed or following distance, and who had to swerve to the left just prior to impact when he realized he was going to hit her. When asked about the witness testimony, which fully vindicated my daughter, he implied that the neutral witness “had it in for his policyholder” and was therefore not credible. In other words, he claims the witness LIED, as if there was any motive to do so. The bottom line: this dishonorable man has no integrity and was willing to resort to forced and willful illogic to deny this claim.

I am very pleased with the service that Progressive has given me. When I switched from liability to full coverage when I purchased a new vehicle, they made me aware of many discounts and programs that I was eligible for, such as the Snapshot program (which in turn made me into a safer driver in itself).

On top of the services that they offer me, what I found as their most positive quality is their customer service over the phone. They have made mistakes involving my premium, as well as getting me into a little bit of hot water with the Nevada DMV such as an insurance lapse.

However, they were quick to admit their mistake when they reviewed and re-listened to a phone call I had made with them when I was making major changes to my policy. I was a bit shocked to find out that they were reversing their original decision and they spoke to the DMV on my behalf and cleared up any misunderstanding, which saved me over 250 dollars. I was very surprised to see that an insurance company was fighting on my behalf rather than their own. They would have saved a little bit of money, but they would have lost a loyal customer.

The pick your price was a very helpful program which had saved me over 200 dollars on my premium right off the bat, which made them a better choice than Geico or State Farm. I never really had any issues with Geico prior to switching over to Progressive but the price, and at the end of the day it is the prices that are the bottom line. I had not gotten into any wrecks yet, and it is true that you don’t know how good your insurance company is until you need them the most, but I have very little doubt that Progressive would let me down in case of an emergency.

Progressive will eventually rip you off–STAY AWAY! First of all I would like to preface by saying I have a perfect driving record, perfect credit score as well as a loyal Progressive customer for 7 years. Just recently, my insurace went up $20.00/month for no apparent reason- no tickets/accidents, life change, policy changes etc.. I asked why my insurance was increasing $20/month-$120 per renewal period and they stated it was because of the “cost of doing business.” I was under the impression that insurance companies often reward you for being a loyal customer by decreasing premiums; not increasing premiums. I then asked about the famous “name your own price” advertised on their television commercials.. They stated this offer was only for new customers, not existing customers. So in a nutshell, Progressive will do anything to get you as a customer, yet slowing increase your premium while you are with them by adding “cost of doing business” increases to your policy. I caution anyone from making the move over to this insurance company. I took my loyal business over to Geico, and I am very happy with the switch considering I was able to save money. I also enjoy their website much better than Progressive’s website. The interface is much easier to navigate through. PLEASE…AVOID PROGRSSIVE! Take it from someone with a pefect driving record and credit score not to mention 7 years of loyalty with the company.

I have had Progressive insurance for about four months. It is the first car insurance policy I have owned. I bought my plan through a private insurance agency and the process went very smoothly. The agents were very friendly and helped me get together all of the documents that I needed, as well as choose the right coverage that I needed. It seemed like there were enough options in coverage from Progressive to meet the needs of most people looking for insurance.

I received an email from Progressive shortly after I submitted all of my paperwork to the insurance agent. About a week later I received in the mail all of my insurance documentation. I was able to make my first payment a bi-yearly payment, which is very convenient for me. I really like that they offer this option.

As far as experience with Progressive itself, everything has gone well. The only interaction I have had is paying my first bill and receiving my insurance documents in the mail. I have not yet called Progressive agent or filed a claim. I am happy with the prompt service I have received from Progressive, and at this point I am confident that they will be able to help me out if I am ever in a car accident.

I do not really know, however, if the rates I am paying are competitive, since I bought the insurance through an agency. If I did it again, I would probably deal directly with Progressive since I am confident that they are helpful enough to set me up on my own.

Progressive is the best car insurance out there. I had been a client of another company for years and had a nasty accident dispute after which my insurance got cancelled (after promises that it would not be, no less). So, finding Progressive was a happy mistake.

Progressive actually gave me better coverage for less money! They have great loyalty programs including accident forgiveness, and best of all, snapshot, which monitors your driving. With snapshot, I was able to get a huge discount, which I really needed since I have 3 cars , one of them new, on the policy. I was so lucky to find Progressive!

My one critique of the snapshot program is that if you change states, you lose your discount and have to start all over again. I think this is because some states do not allow this type of program by law, but it is frustrating because you have to go through the same trial period fronting more money than you’ll end up paying after the discount.

I don’t move a lot, but someone who does would probably want to consider that. There have been a few problems, for example, for some reason they couldn’t locate my driving records and the customer service reps were not the best at letting me know what was actually going on during that time, so I submitted a written request with the change that needed to be made, which was promptly responded to.

Overall, great service, and friendly people, even if they don’t always immediately have the right answer.

Progressive has been great…so far. I could never get a hold of my previous agent so i started looking for a new insurance company. Progressive was able to get me the same amount of coverage that i had with my previous company for $600 less per year!Due to the huge price difference we ended up switching my husbands insurance and the home owners policy as well.

I have been warned by others that progressive does tend to increase their prices every year but i have yet to see this happen. As far as I am concerned Progressive is amazing. Any company that can save me that much money is good in my book.
