I absolutely hate Farmers Insurance! I had an agent who barely spoke English, and no one at their 1-800 number would help me. They always said I had to call my agent. I called the 1800 number to find out the cost to add my husband to my policy, and they said I had to call my agent. My agent said we could not add him as a driver of my car because he did not help me buy the car.
When we were rear-ended, it took Farmers 4 days to get my car into the shop. The reason was because they kept forgetting to call the tow company to have it towed to the body shop. My car was totaled as well. The cost to fix my car was 12,000, but it was worth 17,500 so they had it fixed instead. Now the door squeaks, and when I hit 40 mph or more, my car sounds like a plane taking off! Farmers said they restored it to the way it was before the accident, but they didn’t even come close to it. The body shop they made me go to put a big scratch in my paint, and then said they couldn’t prove it was them, so now I have a huge scratch because they refused to fix it. Farmers raised my insurance rate after the accident, and then said all rates went up. They said it was not because of the accident that was not my fault, but because insurance all around the country went up. They said they raised my rate four months prior, but I called as soon as I got the raised bill so they had no idea when and why they raised my rates! I will never work with this company again!

I do not really like this insurance company to be completely honest. I have gotten into 2 crashes in the last year and a half, and because of these 2 incidents my insurance payments have raised more then 5 times the original price. I do not feel that it should have been raised this high, as for one of them they did not have to pay a cent towards fixing my car. They really should try to get an accident forgiveness policy in order so that prices for their insurance do not get out of control like this.
However, before the 2 crashes, I really liked the insurance and the low cost. I originally chose them because the rates were great and they cover a lot of damages to cars, in almost all circumstances, which is rare.

I am a member of Farmers Insurance. If you would have asked me a few years ago if I liked my insurance company, I would not be able to give you an answer. It was something I never had needed, and so would rank along with paying taxes or getting a tooth pulled. A necessary evil. But it turns out, they are a wonderful company to be with. When a friend of mine borrowed my car and ended up getting into an accident, Farmers was there to take care of everything. Even when I was sued, they made me feel like everything was going to be okay, and they were true to their word. Farmers Insurance has wonderful agents and I fully recommend them to everyone!

I have been using Farmers insurance for past 10 years, and their service was excellent. I am a Korean, and they have 3 Korean speaking staff, 24 hours service. When my car was broke on the highway, I called agent and around 20 minutes later towing truck had came, and I didn’t paid anything. When I engaged insurance they recommended me to engage the service of free towing, and I usually call towing service around 2 times in a year. When I got an accident somebody hit my car from the behind, they recommend me a lawyer to handle it, so I have no trouble with Farmers insurance. I am recommending to my friends anyone who want to engage car insurance, and I engaged House insurance also recently.

Farmers has insured our family since my husband and I got married. We got our first renters and car insurance from a local agent after doing some research. The agent was just starting out at the time. Since then, we have been with them for over 15 years. We have changed to homeowners insurance and have added 3 more cars to the policy. We have shopped around for better rates a few times, but in the end, Farmers has always covered our property for the best price. We have had a few claims over the years and usually it has been handled well and fairly.
Our original agent has several people working under him, and they are all excellent. We managed to keep our insurance even though we have moved to a town about an hour south of our original location. When we added teenaged drivers to our policy, our rates went way up, however, when we compared with our friends, our rates were about half what most of them were paying. No one was paying less. We are very happy with Farmers Insurance.

we have been with farmers about 38 years. we have had 2 small homeowner claims, both handled vey well. my wife had 2 car accidents ,both the other drivers fault. we fixed car both times under our collision coverage.paid the ded in about 40 days we received our ded back.they were handled very well by all involved. rates have always been competetive. we just switched our 2 cars ins to 21st centurybecause it is a subsidary of farmers group. same claims. the rates were quite a bit lower. dont plan on leaving farmers, despite the reviews.

I’ve had Farmer’s Insurance for over 10 years. I thought of switching since I’m an AARP member, but read the horrible reviews about The Hartford and no support from AARP. Farmer’s has always given me excellent service. Claims – proficient and efficient…. absolutely no problems. Customer service was very courteous and helpful. I always thought Farmer’s was on the pricy side, but love the service.

All is Happy till the unfortunate day comes when you actually have an auto accident. I meet in an accident where I was luckily saved, but the oncoming car hit my hood very badly. I reaslised, the car was in no shape to be fixed. It was a 2009 Chevy Model for which I paid $15000.
My Story goes as follows…I come home to file claim online…The farmers site refuses to work and accept my claim…Frustrated, I later call the helpline to file the claim. Cheerfully I was asked to take the vehicle to either Farmers recommended shop or one my choice. I reviewed among choice given and took it to the recommended one. Got a rental too. A week later body shop determines its a Total loss.
Next days, A farmers rep visits the shop to list out damages for appraisal. He latter calls me saying there were few damages but overall its fine..I ask him for report next day and get this pdf file with photos in it.. Most of the pictures were of small tiny marks hardly visible to naked eyes and also of few dirt marks on leg mats and seats. These pretty much looked of marks left by body shop employees. ..2 days latter I get a Market Value Report of My car….Surprise, Surprise… Farmers now deducts $1500 of my cars value due to those dirt marks on mats and the single sopt on seat and also the unvisible marks….
Latter in the report (which was well manipulated by CCC) they have listed 25 vehciles of similar type…50% of the vehciles were of rock bottom prices which were either too far in some depressed towns or non existent in dealers outlet. Avg these low ball prices Farmers now offer me $11K for a 2009 Model vehcile which every dealer in the city is selling for $16,000. Farmers rep then threatens mee too that if I dont accept what the offer, they simple will mail the cheque – Salvage cost…..STAY AWAY. Its a s*****, lousy, unethical, greedy company…sucking away hard working american workers money.

Words can not even come close to describe how much I hate this company!
If this was the one and only auto insurance company in the U.S. I would rather drive without insurance and suffer the consequences then give this underhanded, corrupt company one more cent!
I had a wonderful business relationship with my adjuster until I caught her in numerous lies. I am now being forced to hire an attorney to settle the absolute disaster they have created!
