Overall, I’ve had a positive experience with Geico insurance. I signed up with Geico after leaving my previous company due to terrible customer service. I was involved in an accident that was not my fault and was treated very poorly by the company. The rates at the old company had continued to escalate year after year even though I had a spotless driving record without any tickets. After the accident, I decided it was time for a change.

I shopped around for quotes and decided on Geico. The rates were much better than the previous company and I couldn’t pass it up. I knew they couldn’t be any worse than my previous company so I didn’t have a lot to lose. Luckily, I received several discounts for my car having air bags, an alarm system, etc. They even gave me a discount simply because I wear my safety belt.

Switching was relatively easy to do also. At first, I was a little worried about the service because Geico is such a big nationwide company. I thought by being a large company, there was a chance the customer service would be lacking. However, every time I have called customer service their responses have been prompt and courteous. I have only had to call them three times since signing up, but was happy with the service I received each time. The last time I called, a very nice lady on the phone gave me a discount for being a good customer. This further lowered my monthly premiums.

They seem to be a very well organized business with professional customer care at the heart of their business model. I also enjoy the convenience of being able to pay my bill automatically online. Because of the hours I work, paying by mail can sometimes be a hassle. My old company didn’t even offer online pay. With Geico, my insurance premiums are automatically deducted from my checking account. I can view my account status online and chat with customer support. You can even report a claim online. Luckily, I haven’t needed to file a claim yet, but it does seem much better than waiting on the phone for an hour to speak with someone – like with my old company.

Overall, I’m very satisfied with Geico. I would certainly recommend them to a friend or family member. I’m even considering using them for my home insurance too. I’m very happy with Geico.

I have had my automobile coverage with Progressive Insurance for over 10 years. I think they are the best auto insurer for a variety of reasons. First, their online website is very user-friendly. The site is very clear and concise. One can select various options needed for insurance – full tort or limited tort, comprehensive, collision, insured and non insured driver medical coverage – with complete ease.

When I’ve ever had questions, I could e-mail a representative on a particular coverage and their customer service responded within a few hours. I also could compare my insurance needs and make certain my prices were competitive with other carriers. As an IT developer, I noticed that Progressive takes advantage of RSS feeds. This makes me think there is a more interactive feel with the company. They utilize Real Syndication Service by updating blogs, streaming media, and updating news items directly on their website.

But more importantly, when I got into an accident (on a Friday night), Progressive was very responsive in handling my claim. I called their 1-800 number and reported the accident. After giving information about the accident, which took about 15 minutes, the Progressive representative walked me through what would happen within the next few days. He explained that I should inform Progressive what body shop my car was towed to, so that a claim examiner could give me an estimate on the repairs. He then explained that once the estimate was completed, Progressive would cut me a check so that my car could be repaired as soon as possible.

Within 2 days, Progressive had their claim examiner look at my car, and I received a check on the 3rd day after my accident (the following Monday). I signed the check over to the body shop and my car was fixed in about 2 weeks. Before I received my check for the auto repairs, I called Progressive about renting a car. The representative explained to me that this benefit was part of my insurance coverage. She arranged for a rental company to send me a car to my house. I had the rental car to go to work that Monday morning and met the Progressive claims rep at the body shop later that day. I had no billing issues with the car rental at all.

Progressive was very easy to deal with. They were professional and very user-friendly. Since that accident, I’ve received countless offers to switch my car insurance. But in my opinion, an insurer is only as good, as when you need them for a service or claim. Progressive has outstanding customer service, and I am very happy with their service. They’ve helped me through a very stressful situation. And since the accident was deemed not my fault by the police report, my auto insurance did not rise at all. I strongly recommend Progressive for automobile coverage.

A Happy Customer Reviews Baldwin & Co. Insurance

Editor’s Note: Baldwin and Company Insurance is an independent insurance agency in Joliet, Illinois. Baldwin Insurance is not an auto insurance company.

———————–

Baldwin & Co. Insurance Location - Courtesy Google Maps

Baldwin and Company is an independent, mid-size insurance provider based out of Joliet, Illinois. They are affiliated with Pekin Insurance and Indiana Insurance.

I have used Baldwin and Company for my primary automotive insurance for almost twenty years. I feel that they provide some of the best service of any company, large or small. While their prices are at the market rate, it is possible to find some better deals by way of discount or national insurance companies. However, I’m not quite sure a price can be put on the service I’ve received from Jeff over the years.

Back in 1998, my car was totaled in an accident that was not my fault. While I did not get a ticket for the accident, the problem was that the person who hit me drove off after the accident. I was able to get the license plate of the SUV that smashed into my 1991 Ford Tempo at 50 miles per hour, but unfortunately, when my city’s police dispatched an officer to the address that matched the records, no one admitted to being behind the wheel at the time.

Baldwin & Company went above and beyond helping me through every step of the way. I was personally introduced to the owner of a body shop run by a friend of Jeff’s that was able to make the repairs using some spare parts, and it turned out my car was not totaled after all. All of my questions were answered within a day, if not at the exact time I called. I cannot overemphasize how helpful this kind of service was in a time of relative crisis.

Baldwin and Company actually provides all types of insurance, and if I did not have a life policy through my current employer, I would consider them for that as well. Jeff is usually able to speak to me personally in a very short time frame and is even willing to speak to me at his office if need be. All three times I have been in automobile accidents since I have been using Baldwin and Company as my provider, I have actually spoken to Jeff from the scene of the accident. It is this kind of personal connection that really makes me want to stay with Baldwin and Company for as long as I am driving.

Their office is located in the Twin Oaks Towers officers at the intersection of Essington and Jefferson in Joliet, Illinois. Thanks For Years Of Great Service!

Within 24 hours my policy price had improved reflecting those changes. Additionally, Geico also allows you to change your payment term on the fly directly from the website. This means although I might sign up for a 4 payment plan initially, if the cost is too high one month due to unrelated expenses, I can simply switch to a 6 payment plan and spread the cost out over the remaining policy period. This has been really helpful on more than one occasion. I love being able to do it right at home without sitting in a company’s office or waiting on the phone.

This experience is all in comparison to previous experiences with other insurance agencies who have been near impossible to reach on the phone or with payment systems that required sending a check or added fees for paying online. I feel like Geico really is the best car insurance available for someone with minimum needs, who has a computer, and doesn’t mind the lack of a physical office on every street corner in need to do business. Overall I would say I fit those qualities.

I have been with the Progressive Insurance for over five years. I originally wanted to find quotes for insurance companies online and went out scouring for the best one. My problem was that every online company I was trying to get a quote from wanted me to finish the process over the phone or try to get me to electronically sign an online contract. These kinds of companies supremely scare me because I do not want to have to commit to something I am not sure I want yet.

Progressive was the only company that allowed me to enter my information and get a quote without having to commit to any contract, if I did not want to. Progressive also quoted me one amount online and then when I decided to go with them as my automobile insurance company, I got that price. It was even lower than the original quote they gave me.

When I had to file two insurance claims, I had no issues with Progressive. Progressive offered to have people come to my home, office, and school just to look at my car when I got hail damage a few years ago. Progressive was diligent to get the quote done on time and also to get the money to repair my vehicle.

Another time I was in a head-on collision with an uninsured motorist. Progressive was able to come out to my work parking lot, have my vehicle towed, and setup a rental vehicle while my car was being fixed. This was all done in a one day’s time. They even sent the car to the repair shop where I wanted my car to go.

Progressive has also been there when my payments are due – I know that sounds funny but here’s what I mean. I can pay by personal checks, credit cards, debit cards, and now even PayPal. Knowing that I can pay my Progressive insurance bill via PayPal is great. Not only is that a secure website but it gives me the ability to make a payment via two secure websites: Progressive and PayPal.

In the future, no matter the vehicle, I’m going with Progressive. They have been dedicated to me and have shown their appreciation to this customer by giving me standard discounts every year. Thank you, Progressive.

I have had Progressive for 9 years. I love Progressive! They have been wonderful.

I was in a car accident 7 years ago. They came out to the scene & escorted my car when it was towed. The agent visited me in the hospital & made me feel like I really mattered. They fought for me against the other insurance company because the accident was not my fault. The other company wanted to put used parts on my car & my agent told them that was unacceptable. I was pregnant & how would they feel if I was driving down the road & my tire fell off because they refused to buy new parts. After a lot of phone calls they finally convinced the other company to pay for new parts. Since that accident, I have had to replace my windshield & they were right on it. Someone was out there the very next day.

In the past 9 years I have referred several friends & family to Progressive & they are all very glad they switched. Not only has Progressive saved them money but the service is top notch. My husbands truck was broken into several years ago & they stole his radio. I had bought it for him for his birthday one year & I no longer had the receipt for it. They compared what he had to what was currently on the market plus installation. They ended up buying him a better quality radio because the one he had was no longer on the market. That whole process took about 2 days. I was very impressed. They drove all the way to his office an hour away to give him the check for the new radio. They wanted to deliver it in person rather than send it in the mail.

I have compared the rate we pay with Progressive to other companies & no one can even come close. When we first got this policy we were in our early twenties & everyone else wanted to charge us an arm and a leg but Progressive charged us less than one hundred dollars per month for 2 younger drivers & two vehicles with full coverage. The next closest quote we got was for around $175.00 per month. That is almost a $100.00 difference from what we are paying. I really can not say enough good things about Progressive. They have made some of the hardest moments of our lives easier.

I have heard horror stories about other companies & I immediately refer that person to Progressive. If only I could get discounts for making referrals!
